The hoagie was standard, nothing great, but certainly tasted fine. The bread sticks came in a small pizza box and was a circle cut into portions. Two sauces were given with the sticks. One was a marinara and the other was a mix of buffalo and ranch. Order was up in time and everything was smooth with the ordering process.

My first couple of times here, I didn't think ahead and stopped in on a whim, ordering at the counter and sticking around while they prepared my slices. This time, I thought to go to the website to see if there was online ordering and placed my order in advance. You order by the cut, and there was a small, $1.50 total convenience charge for the order which I didn't mind in exchange for my time and just considered an addition to my tip. We drive out from Monroeville just to grab their pies. Located in Squirrel Hill, parking can be a bit of a challenge, but there is a pay-to-park lot across the street tucked behind the businesses. Also, with old school class, Mineo's is cash only. They do have an ATM right in the store - in case you forgot. Dynasty loading - as they now have 4 shops including one directly in the Pittsburgh Airport (check their updated box logos with an airplane flying around!) All day. All year. Always- I would think to give Mineo's five stars, but this order was disappointing. The crust was over floured and lifeless, the cheese was missing the signature flavor pack of herbs, and the toppings were very clumped together under the cheese... but even these nitpicks- this place is a must go to! We ordered three large (and yes, that's a large large) pizzas - mushroom, extra cheese, and pepperoni. They are renowned for their thick layer of cheese with the toppings buried beneath. And this time, all of the pieces were well cut - which is rare. Service was quick. They know how to move through the takeout orders and even if they don't, pull up a seat and enjoy the theater of pizza making that you can witness in the expansive dining area.

For the first time, they started accepting credit cards, with a 15% fee. (I had already taken out some cash to pay for the pizza, since they previously had a cash-only policy.
