Love the decor in the shop. There were many prepared food options in the fridge, as well as various cuts of meat/preparations of it. We got two sandwiches, the cheesesteak and the marbella. I dont think we ended up with the correct order because we didn't end up with a cheesesteak, but did not realize until we got home. I'm positive that if I went back to the shop they would've remedied the situation, but I didn't feel it was necessary! The sandwich we did end up with was good as well, unsure which one it was though. Very fair prices, and our dog was so happy we brought him home a bone as well! Looking forward to coming back and trying everything they have to offer.

The business practices whole-animal, nose-to-tail butchery that respects the animals. Even bones and fat are used. My husband and I shopped here one time. On a Saturday afternoon, we drove around the neighborhood for 30 minutes before we found a paid parking spot. Other customers were inside the store, but the employees in the store served us promptly and politely. We saw cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and poultry as well as sandwiches, soups, spices, maple syrup, etcetera. We did not see as many unique meats as larger butcher shops sell. Prices were OK. We bought beef skewers and cooked them at home. We thought that the quality of the meat could have been better, but we liked the juiciness and flavors.

With that said, it is a bit tight with not that many seats, but the option of window seating and seating at the bar certainly helps. I got the cookie crisp cereal milk latte, raspberry almond tart, and cheese toast. It wasn't until halfway through my meal that I rememered to snag a picture. The food was sooooo good, all the flavours perfectly individual and shining through of each item. The tart wasnt too moist or dry, the latte had a lovely light espresso with the aftertaste of the yummy cookie crisp milk, and the toast was a delicious mix of salty and sweet. I was sooo full by the end of it. Before heading out, I had to check out their products and ended up leaving with some goat cheese with herbs and dried flowers and some gluten-free focaccia that I'm excited to try.

Would definitely go with something a little less sweet next time! Unfortunately they didn't have regular drip coffee when I went, but the Americano was solid, and their specialty drinks all looked good! The get super busy and popular, not surprising, so be prepared to fight for tables, especially if you want to order food ( which is also really good!) Definitely will be coming back to try their delicious food options and other pastries soon!

They also offer some basic Vietnamese items on the menu: bahn mi, pho, com, vermicelli bowls, and even a few breakfast items. We ordered takeout, and our order was ready very quickly (even sooner than expected). The staff were very friendly, and the space was very nicely decorated. If you wanted, this is the kind of space where you could order some coffee (Vietnamese or otherwise) and do some reading. In terms of the food, I was generally impressed. The vegan pho was nicely done, but the broth wasn't as flavorful as it could have been. That's mostly just the challenge of creating a vegan pho broth. The bahn mi was very nicely done, with a crisp and fresh baguette and solid fillings. I think I would order extra pickled veg and extra cilantro next time, but that's a matter of personal preference. We also added some sriracha at home to give the sandwich a boost. The sunny bowl was an interesting concept that was somewhere between brunch and Vietnamese staple. It was good, with very fresh cucumber and nicely pickled carrot and daikon. It wasn't exceptional, but it was good. All told, this was a nice place to visit. I could imagine using it as a coffee shop or as a destination for decent Vietnamese food. Or both. The overall experience was good, and the food was on par with some of the other Vietnamese offerings in the region. Well worth a try, if you happen to be nearby.

I was actually quite impressed with how well it was prepared. Nice and flaky but didn't fall apart. The bun it comes on is well proportion with the fish. The only thing I could've went without, was the macaroni salad topped on the fish. However, the food here never disappoints. I'll be back.

We were disappointed when it closed. On our way back from Cavacini's nursery last week, we passed by and saw that it was open! We turned around to see what was up. This space is now "The Pitch" and it is awesome! It is a place dedicated to the sport of soccer/football (hence "the pitch") much of the inside is the same, but with lots of British football/soccer swag and games on every TV. It is even cooler than the last place! Brian, one of the owners, was on hand at the bar the first time we went and so friendly and helpful and chatty. We enjoyed his company. We shared a Garlic and Rosemary Grilled chicken sandwich. It came on a lightly toasted bread. It was delightful! A nice balance and blend of rosemary and garlic flavors with spinach and tomato and a great aioli. Side of fries were crisp and lightly seasoned. The ranch dressing was the just-right creamy texture and a great mix of herbs, buttermilk and mayo ( ?) This time, ( couldn't stop thinking about that sandwich!) we brought our pup and sat in the cozy courtyard with umbrella tables, a TV for soccer games and a few outdoor games as well. Brian ( again!) came to check on us and brought water for Rooney. Our order this time was a smash burger for Todd and that chicken sandwich. The chicken was perfect, but this time it was on a small hoagie roll, which dampened the flavors, but was still delicious. Todd declared the smash burger just right medium rare. Make The Pitch a stop in Lawrenceville! You won't be disappointed in the food or the service! And if you are a football/ soccer fan, all the better. They also often are open super early for British games. "Bottom's Up!"

I'm not really drinking right now-maybe a celebratory sip of champagne here and there-but if I were, their martini service never misses. It's one of those places that's consistent in the best way. It is pretty small inside and there are a few tables outside. You order at the counter or can order by phone or online. Usually I order online and every time I have walked in to find it bagged and ready to go. They did change ordering systems a few months ago which had a few kinks to work out. The food is mostly sandwiches and rice or vermicelli bowls. There also is soup, summer rolls and a cucumber salad. In addition they have coffee and tea, lemonade and bubble tea. I have not tried any drinks but I would like to. My go to is the Feelin' Tofu Banh Mi which has the tofu, veggies and yummy sauce and I like to add some jalapeños for some kick. The bread is flavorful with a little crunch that holds up pretty well. The veggies give such a light tasty crunch. I do feel that the sandwich could do with a little more on it portion wise both for value but also to be more balanced with the amount of bread. It is a tasty sandwich though. We also like to get the tofu summer rolls. The balance here can be a bit off with too much lettuce. However, the sauce is absolutely delicious and could make just about anything taste good. This is a great place to stop by for lunch or dinner (but beware they close at 6) or just to grab a drink during the day. We like to pick up the food to take to a brewery to eat. It is usually pretty easy to find street parking close by. Friendly service and tasty food.

Definitely one of the cheaper places to get it so I'm not complaining and it was perfect on a cold day. Service was great, pretty quick and very accommodating. They also had a small seating area tucked in the back that was nice and quiet to get work done or chat, as well as outside too, but most people get it to go. Their bahn mi is also delicious, and definitely worth a try too!
