Stopped in for happy hour but their happy hour is only 3-5! We arrived right at 5 and Barry was awesome and honored us with the happy hour deal of 2 for 1 drink! He was great company and you can tell he is good at what he does! The patio looks like it would be lovely to sit out there, once the weather warms up. I loved the monkey theme and the upstairs interior was fun and vibrant. They also have a gift shop! We didn't try any food but the food coming out looked and smelled great. I can't wait to come visit when it's warmer out!

Come thirsty and hungry because they have lots of specialty drink and food options. Their service is friendly and always ready to recommend something for you. Very large food portions and if you go for breakfast try the monkey bread. Parking can be a bit tough.

Buffalo chicken cheesesteak with Parmesan truffle fries

If you're in ocean city you should try bad monkey at least once. It's got a full menu of your standard American fare: burgers, wings, cheesesteaks, salads and many more dishes. We've gone here a few times mainly for the quick service. We stopped because it was one of the few places opened with our late arrival. We were immediately sat and our servant was over a few seconds later. I wish I had gotten her name. She was great. Friendly and full of suggestions. It was pretty empty but we assumed because it was almost closing time. That made for a quiet dining experience. We ordered right away after scoping out the menu online. Fish tacos, wings and buffalo chicken cheesesteak with truffle fries. One thing to remember is portions are huge here. We could have ordered one entre to share between the three of us. Everything was average. The best part was the fries and the house made blue cheese dressing. While every dish was plentiful they weren't great. My husband's wings were chewy rather than crispy but the sauces were good. He had Thai and another flavor but I don't remember the name. My daughters fish tacos had plenty of fish and toppings but needed some seasoning. My buffalo chicken was chopped perfectly but had a ton of buffalo sauce that overpowered everything. We were a little disappointed because a previous visit was so much better. We got some bottles of monkey bacon hot sauce which is my husbands favorite so that made up for our meal. Overall a fair meal.

I wanted to like this place. It's a cool spot but imo overpriced and a little overhyped. That's a 4 egg omelette?

2025 | $14.95 | Cream Chipped Beef over biscuits: biscuits were stale and creamed chipped beef was room temp at best. Very unfortunate.

July 2025 | Served Cold Food Customer service - 4 out of 5 Wait time - 5 out of 5 Cleanliness - 4 out of 5 Atmosphere - 4 out of 5 Food quality - 2.5 out of 5 This was our first time at Bad Monkey, and sadly, it started cold. Food hit the table within three minutes of ordering, which only makes sense if it's prepped ahead of time. The manager confirmed this, admitting the heat lamps likely weren't working properly. My son's "chocolate chip pancakes" were plain pancakes served cold, with chips tossed on top. My wife's cream chipped beef over biscuits wasn't much better, room temp and stale. I passed on ordering an omelette and went with a parfait instead, hoping they couldn't mess that up. We've agreed: no breakfast here again. We'll give dinner a shot next year and hope for a turnaround.

Vacations are a great opportunity for many things. One at the top of our list is the opportunity to try places to eat that we've never tried before. The name 'Bad Monkey' reminded me of a Carl Haaisan book and a tv show of that name, both of which I love. It's on the second floor and overlooks the busy main drag of OC. It's up a flight of stairs, or if you prefer or need to, you can take the elevator. We were seated immediately, and the attentive care began. Water came iced and our glasses were kept filled. A Caesar Salad for Meg, and a Cheeseburger with a side of fries for me. Both meals were exceĺlent. I'm against the huge burgers that have to be eaten with a knife and fork. I expressed my concern to our delightful server, and she delivered a regular size burger just the way I like it. Meg's Chardonnay and my Margarita were excellent. Pricing is in line with what one expects at a tourist town eatery, but we considered it fair and resonable considering the clleanliness, warm atmosphere, and top shelf service. Outdoor dining is available. In OC? I recommend Bad Monkey.

1 night in Ocean City Maryland in the winter. What to do? Crab cakes & football! There are a couple of nearby Bad Monkey restaurants - 1 was closed for renovations & the other was less than a mile away. The restaurant is the bar and from what we could tell - only open weekends in the winter. It's a nice airy place - lots of wood, high ceilings & interesting light fixtures. And there were 5 TV's with football on. I had an orange crush to drink. It was good, however, the ice wasn't crushed (orange crush =crushed ice, right?). There was a splash of sprite in it, but there should have been more. The crabcake sandwich was better than I expected (I'm no expert though). It comes with chips, and for an up charge you can get fries or onion rings. Service was very good - everyone was helpful. Good place to check out.

The good food keeps us coming back! Love the environment. It's always busy on the weekends. This time we sat at the bar & the bartender was quick & attentive. Will be back!

Delicious breakfast tacos. The omelette was a huge portion. They are very busy in the morning for breakfast, but we got lucky and found two seats at the bar. The staff were super friendly.

Stopped by for breakfast and had a nice experience. The food was decently priced for Ocean City, and the menu had something for everyone--from classic eggs and bacon to more unique options. Service was average but friendly enough. The real star was the monkey bread--absolutely delicious and worth coming back for! Was able to sit outside and enjoy the weather while dining. There are also multiple dining areas as well.

I was highly satisfied with the food and our waiter was very kind. Shout out to Brad for an amazing service. Although it was busy we waited about five minutes for our table. The dining area was easy to talk, and many families were enjoying the evening. Good spot for families and great variety of choices on the menu.

SO, we decided we had the time, we were hungry & nearby, so we made our way to what is now called Whiskers Saloon. We were greeted warmly by Jay who was manning both the bar and customers at tables. We took some time to peruse the 2 page menu looking for both old favorites and what's new. I decided to try one of my usual sandwiches, The Rachel for comparison sake & added Sweet potato fries (additional upgrade). I asked & was happy the special spicy sauce I loved to combine with the fries was still available under a different name, Texas sauce. I will say, my sandwich was much better than in "the old days" because this was made with actual carved turkey thick slices as opposed to thin cold cut turkey from prior ownership. I was a happy camper! My hubby tried something new to him at Whiskers, he had a chicken cheesesteak sub and was pleasantly surprised and impressed to find it was not finely chopped up chicken, but cut up grilled chicken chunks with nicely sautéed onions. We were happy to return, pleased to find that good quality & taste was still there and its what we were used to after almost 15 years of frequenting here. We were happy to see Commanders game & flag displayed for this Sunday game with many fans inside boisterously enjoying the game playingon all the tvs. All day specials were going on today and Jay told us everything they were offering on the specially priced menu which was a nice extensive list of bar food and drinks, including $3 Yeungling.

Many of the restaurants in OC lean very touristy or very local. Either way, you often feel like an outsider and tend to be treated that way. The food was excellent and the service was personal. We loved the celebration at sunset so much that we stayed for dessert and coffee, something we don't normally do. At least three couples at the bar out of five gave us side-eyed views, then whispered like the kids in second grade do. Whatever. We sat at the bar and the bartender, who looked to had been there since the place opened, took about 10 minutes to get to us. She wasn't busy and nobody was ordering anything, she was just at the other end of the bar... pondering life? Anyway, we eventually got our beers and sat down at a wobbly, sticky table by the door. The place is quiet as a cemetery and there really isn't much to look at. There is a diner set up on the other side of the room which was completely empty, thus contributing to the overall ambiance. A few minutes later another couple walked in and sat down at the bar. They asked the bartender a question I didn't hear and she replied "I don't know nothing about nothing." Then she walked away. A group of four walked in, each of them having some severe medical ailment, and slowly scanned the place with squinted eyes. One of them said through a few layers of phlegm "They got sandwiches over here," and they all proceeded to maneuver their walkers in the direction of the diner side. We left about 30 seconds afterwards. I give it 2 stars for the entertainment value it has but that's all you'll find worth checking out.
