The Inlet Bar & Grill is a wonderful spot on the Ocean City Boardwalk, especially if you want to enjoy the beach atmosphere while relaxing indoors. It has a nostalgic charm that makes you feel like you're experiencing a classic Ocean City tradition. I ordered the chicken salad with French fries, a Chicken Caesar Salad, and a frozen slushy drink. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The food was definitely worth the visit, and the slushy drink was the perfect complement to a warm day at the beach. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and is a great place to cool off while still enjoying views and the energy of the boardwalk. The only minor downside was a few flies, which is understandable given the beach location and open-air environment. The payment system also felt a bit dated, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. Until recently, this culinary gem remained undisclosed. Listen closely, eastern Pennsylvania residents! The scrapple is exceptional. Western Pennsylvania residents, order it! You will be delighted! While you cannot take the Eagles with you back to Pittsburgh, you can certainly take the scrapple and be happy this season! The breakfast was impeccable. Ohh man, this place. We stopped in midafternoon for a quick beer or two. OK, first off, the patrons. At least three couples at the bar out of five gave us side-eyed views, then whispered like the kids in second grade do. Whatever. We sat at the bar and the bartender, who looked to had been there since the place opened, took about 10 minutes to get to us. She wasn't busy and nobody was ordering anything, she was just at the other end of the bar... pondering life? Anyway, we eventually got our beers and sat down at a wobbly, sticky table by the door. The place is quiet as a cemetery and there really isn't much to look at. There is a diner set up on the other side of the room which was completely empty, thus contributing to the overall ambiance. A few minutes later another couple walked in and sat down at the bar. They asked the bartender a question I didn't hear and she replied "I don't know nothing about nothing." Then she walked away. A group of four walked in, each of them having some severe medical ailment, and slowly scanned the place with squinted eyes. One of them said through a few layers of phlegm "They got sandwiches over here," and they all proceeded to maneuver their walkers in the direction of the diner side. We left about 30 seconds afterwards. I give it 2 stars for the entertainment value it has but that's all you'll find worth checking out. read more

Old school boardwalk restaurant with a friendly bar which is simply named "The Bar". It's full of friendly locals who are servers. The price is fabulous for a boardwalk entity. We've tried just about everything here on the menu and we enjoy it. I've gone solo and it's not a problem. We've gone as a couple and a few times we've gone with friends. "The Bar" is located at the end of the Ocean City Boardwalk in the shadow of the Ferris Wheel. We were attending SpringFest--known as StormFest to locals--and I was searching for something for breakfast other than the meager offerings from the food vendors in the big tent. My search ended with discovering The Bar, which I was surprised to find open at 9:30 in the morning. I would classify this place as a combined greasy-spoon and dive bar, one on one side one on the other! Check out the pictures. I order a breakfast sandwich togo for my wife and returned to grab a bigger eat-in breakfast for myself. I sat at the counter and had a cheese omelette with a side of bacon. Read a review here where someone referred to local ghosts (OC has a ghost tour, after all). The only ghosts to haunt this sorry excuse for a dive bar are of the poor souls who ate something at this nasty place and left their earthly coil on the spot. An exorcism can't save them. Gives dive bars a bad name. Said to be the oldest bar on Ocean City boardwalk. I believe it. The bartender, when asked for a recommendation for something refreshing on a sweltering day, gave us that "are you f-ing kidding me" look. The bathrooms were so disgusting, that once the stench entered your nostrils, you couldn't un-smell it anywhere in the bar area. I'm sorry, but anyone who thinks this is a fun dive bar experience, you couldn't be more wrong. Just plain bad. Really bad. read more

This is a throw back to a time when bars served cheap food, cold drinks and good conversation. A lot of the boardwalk is a ripoff but I still like this place. It could probably use an update but it has all you need and the bartender is always able to make whatever you'd like and add in good local stories. read more

One of our most visited bars whenever we come to Ocean City. The Bar is simple. We don't come here for the ambiance, the bartenders, or the overall menu. We come here time and time again because they always have room at the bar, serve quickly, have great prices, and their bathroom isn't gross. Going all the way down to the end of the boardwalk has its perks. read more

BAR! as we call it. Only every shout the 3 letter word leaving off the "the" as well just as the sign outside says. This is an old establishment, we pop in for a cheap round as we do our normal stroll around to all of the OC standards. I like BAR because is has a few pinball machines, jukebox, darts, and a pool table. Wait staff is always excited to see you, as this place rarely get packed. Check out the drink specials, they never disapoint. read more

Went for dinner and got the greasy diner experience. It wasn't bad if you can look behind the grime that I'd have loved to clean away if someone gave me a pail or water and some bleach. We went for breakfast the next day because my BF and his kids have gone here for years and let me just say the servers should find a different job. The second we walked in we were told that they're very busy and the wait could be long, even though there were plenty of open tables and 3 servers working. We sat at the only table big enough to accommodate 6 which hadn't been cleared yet. She then went on to clear an empty table with no one waiting for it. We now have the pleasure of another server . We were brought menus & were brought our drinks. When she was told one was wrong she stormed off like it was our fault. Then we ordered. My breakfast came with pancakes coffee bacon and juice so I ordered the coffee and juice. She then says it only comes with one or the other so I said I'd just have the coffee but she said no it was all right. So she brings us our food which was Eeh... during our dining experience we noticed the first server being oh so nice and laughing with other customers. It's Bike Week and they were definitely bikers. I guess she could tell we weren't so we weren't worthy of some laughter or common courtesy. So, imo, do t eat here unless you like being treated like a second class citizen OR wear a Harley tee shirt. I'm giving it 2 's because of our dinner visit. read more

We've been visiting The Bar for over 3 decades. Usually once or twice a summer just stopping in for a cold beer. Often during happy hour. We're full-time in OC now and even though we hadn't been to The Bar this year or last we decided on Sunday while at the inlet to go in for Happy Hour and have a beer. We were happy to see they had added some drafts. Between we ordered 3 beers and were expecting the bill to be $6 based on the $2 drafts during happy hour sign. But our bill was $18. They had swiped our card and hubby had forgotten his glasses so handed me the receipt to sign. I pointed out the cost and he was shocked and not happy. Tried to get the bartender's attention but he was very busy. We decided it was a lesson learned - and left. read more

It's definitely a dive bar but it's a good one! Stopped by as we were ending our night and service was good though it wasn't busy. Good prices and the specialty shot (currently the brain hemorrhage) with the free shot glass is a cool touch. Definitely will be back! read more
