Old school boardwalk restaurant with a friendly bar which is simply named "The Bar". It's full of friendly locals who are servers. The price is fabulous for a boardwalk entity. We've tried just about everything here on the menu and we enjoy it. I've gone solo and it's not a problem. We've gone as a couple and a few times we've gone with friends. Note: Only open from approx late April until October. So Follow their FB page for updates.

"The Bar" is located at the end of the Ocean City Boardwalk in the shadow of the Ferris Wheel. We were attending SpringFest--known as StormFest to locals--and I was searching for something for breakfast other than the meager offerings from the food vendors in the big tent. My search ended with discovering The Bar, which I was surprised to find open at 9:30 in the morning. I would classify this place as a combined greasy-spoon and dive bar, one on one side one on the other! Check out the pictures. I order a breakfast sandwich togo for my wife and returned to grab a bigger eat-in breakfast for myself. I sat at the counter and had a cheese omelette with a side of bacon. My man Stan, whipped up my breakfast. No complaints.

One of our most visited bars whenever we come to Ocean City. The Bar is simple. We don't come here for the ambiance, the bartenders, or the overall menu. We come here time and time again because they always have room at the bar, serve quickly, have great prices, and their bathroom isn't gross. Going all the way down to the end of the boardwalk has its perks.

Stopped here on a Friday night after licking our elbows at the Poor Girls Open weighins…read more We sat upstairs and grabbed a table for 7 and spread out. Bartender Jeff Mick pulled up and took care of us. We had a couple shots (which we totally needed at that point) and I ordered two soups to try and push towards my week quota of 10 soups. The French onion was very good - good temp and the flavor was on-point. The MD crab soup was also good with the flavor and temp. Overall - was surprised by the place upstairs and how cool it was.

Hubby and I came here before noon on a weekday for brunch. We ordered the veggie omelette with…read moreprovolone cheese ($14), ball buster burger challenge ($36), and refillable glass with pina colada ($10). Total out to approximately $72, not including tip. What's hot - Menu. Breakfast is available before noon, so hubby and I made certain to arrive before then, because I'm a huge fan of breakfast. Aside from breakfast options (such as breakfast burritos, omelettes, etc.), they have a good variety including sandwiches, salads, burgers, a good variety of appetizers, etc... - Quality. Delicious. My veggie omelette was very fluffy and soft. I'm not a fan of thin omelettes and this one did not disappoint. There were a good amount of veggies included. They put the cheese on top of the omelette, instead of inside with the fillings, but oh well.... My omelette came with 2 slices of cantaloupe and a strawberry, in addition to has browns, which was nice. I appreciate having fruit. The hash browns were not greasy, as well. My husband's burger challenge was enormous. The bun was very thick, which makes it difficult to eat. You definitely have to eat the burger challenge in pieces. There's a good amount of fillings, such as tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon. Their waffle fries are well-seasoned, which adds to the flavor. - Service. The staffer for our table was polite, attentive, and helpful, especially in answering any questions we had about the menu. He checked in on us regularly, which was helpful when we needed refills and/or anything extra. - Layout. Their outdoor seating area is a good layout. It does not appear outdoor tables can accommodate more than a group of 4, so be prepared depending on your group. - Price. Pretty good value for money, especially given the portions. What's not - Menu. Because I'm a huge breakfast fan, I would appreciate breakfast being available all day. That I had to pay extra for cheese in my omelette was surprising and disappointing, but it appears to be something that is becoming more common in restaurants. - Layout. There are umbrellas covering the outdoor seating, which is helpful. Towards the end of our meal, it started raining, so the large umbrella covering was helpful. However, part of the umbrella started coming apart. Rain also drips down on to your back, so just something to be aware of. Final answer Worth returning.

I usually can only tolerate Buxy's for one drink and have to leave because of the sensory overload. The sensory overload is a combination of the loud background noise, bright lights, and intense visual stimuli. (Including pics) LOL My friend and I went B4 the OC parade , and b4 the " after parade party" started with the live band , and it was relatively laid back. We shared the " corned beef Primanti " on sour dough , which was surprisingly good. The menu did say it was thick cut brisket , the more tender corned beef is the "point cut" . The meat was a bit tough and chewy so I cut it up into small pieces and it was much better. I removed the fries so the bread didn't get soggy , and kept the coleslaw and we both agreed this was a really good sandwich. I definitely want to come back again and try more of "Burgh food " items like the pierogis, Pittsburgh salad, and kielbasa but in the OFF peak hours .

Don't be afraid to go for a late lunch on half price burger day, yes every Wednesday before six pm…read more Toppings aren't half off or are the specialty burgers. But it is still a solid half pound grilled Pub House burger for $8 plus toppings. I really enjoyed the lettuce wrap, the burger was crispy outside and juicy inside. None of that smashburger crap here, I got a thick patty brimming with flavor and still pink in the middle. Rippled cut potato chips sprinkled with old bay are the side. I couldn't stop eating them. Husband ordered a burger with a nice fluffy toasted bun, pepperjack cheese and fries, included lettuce, tomato and pickles. Solid. Medium rare by request also perfect. What more could you want? Oh, a $6 orange crush if you wait till 3 when happy hour starts. Trust me if this place were near my Phoenix home I would be a regular patron. Bet it gets rowdy with live bands and beach crowds, but at 3 pm, it's a quiet neighborhood pub. Try it!!

It has a thicker slightly sweet batter, the batter stayed on and the pickles were crispy. The pickle shot had a sting to it, but it was not the worst! For thursday night, we had 3 dollar domestic beers which was a great deal! Pickles, service and beer deal is the only reason i'd give 2 stars. Downside is the bathroom, i've never seen a dive bar bathroom this bad. It is disgusting with fecal matter smeared around the wall, lack of toilet paper, dirty floors and just a lack of overall cleanliness. Not sure if it was just when we went, i'd hope they'll fix the woman's stalls.
