Woo woo's are a fairly tasty cheap drink. Crushes are good but a bit pricey for how weak they were. They had some pool tables and the bar fills up quickly so if you want to sit get there early. I don't know what kind of freon is in that mug freezer, but it crisps those mugs up in less than 30 seconds. I know, I know, this is the Cold Beer Capital of the World. A must stop whenever in OCMD... especially in the summer! What's overlooked here though, are the wings. Some of the best in the Mid-Atlantic. Those Boom Boom's are a must. Pair well with an brain freeze inducing brewski. Tourist or local, this place is a must go to when in OCMD. Cutting off the boardwalk just a few steps, you will find a charming pub called Cork Bar that is worth popping into. Grab a stool barside surrounded by FD tribute type decor. Expect classic draft beers on tap that actually get served in a clean chilled mug. Talk about refreshing after being out in the sun for a little. The bartender was kind and quick to get whatever asked. Pricing was fair and not overpriced just because it's on/near boardwalk. Bathroom was well kept and in better shape than anticipated. They even sell some fun merchandise/shirts. If in the area, definitely consider stopping in for at least one and not just passing by. :) read more

Food isn't bad. Limited but ok beer selection. Awful stamp to get into the place that rubs off on clothing for hours and hours afterward. Massive stamp the size of a tennis ball. Just stupid. Bought a shirt that was completely ruined by it. Made an otherwise good experience regrettable. Nashville wings pretty good and so were the BBQ wings, turkey sliders, meatball sliders, tots. If we return I'm going to sacrifice the opportunity to return later in the day so I don't have to deal with the nasty stamp ruining another shirt. Day 2 update: Got them to stamp legs instead today. Still day (3) of my EC road-trip and made it to Ocean City where my wife had made reservations at the Plim Plaza Hotel. I'll review the hotel later. Checked in around three and strolled around for a while. Had some local beers at a couple places and walked the boards. Soon it was time for dinner. After having tomato pie for lunch, it was time for a cheese-steak. Did not dare to drive anywhere since the hotel parking was at capacity and feared loosing my spot, besides I wanted another beer and didn't want to go to the stripey hole (jail). Walked the strip for a couple blocks each way when I came across The Cork Bar, if nothing else I can get a drink. Sat down and was greeted and handed a menu and asked what I'd have to drink. When on the road I always have a local made brew, not sure what I had but had two. Ordered the cheese-steak with fried onions, comes with fries or tots. I chose the steak fries and they were great. Waiting for my food, a group ladies and couple dudes came in wearing pink, I guess they must have just seen the Barbie movie. I could see this was the place to be when the sun goes down. The food arrived and all looked great and after that first bite, that was it, awesome sandwich. And I'll tell ya why, it was made on an Amoroso roll, the quintessential roll all Philly steaks are made with. You can't call it a Philly Cheese-steak if it's not on a Amoroso roll, it's just a cheese-steak. I finished the whole thing. Afterwards I bought a couple shirts and Mega-million tickets. We came to this spot 3 nights in a row (after 10pm, not during peak season). The servers are all so nice. The food was basic bar food. The drinks were great and strong. I love that the atmosphere was of a traditional bar. And they are open until 2am. We definitely aim to come back. read more

If you're a local it looked like it would be good place, as a first timer - won't be going back. Easy getting seat at the bar. Busy but plenty seats available. I could have been on fire with rockets going off and still been ignored - literally! Multiple bartenders look straight at me and walk away, others wouldn't make eye contact. 15 minutes before my waving got any notice - customers on either side of me getting waited on multiple times. Eventually the elder bartender came over. Handed me a menu - one for food, none for drinks. Walked away and wouldn't acknowledge my presence whenever he was near and I tried to order. Another 10 minutes pass and I move to a seat near middle of the bar. Nothing changed. I sat with menu in hand looking at all the bartenders. Another 5+ minutes pass before I all but grabbed a bartender - they still were serving on either side of me and people coming up to bar to order drinks. I placed an order for a drink and an appetizer. Both came relatively quickly as did the bill - which I paid before food even arrived. Never got another acknowledgement of my presence. Someone told me abt this bar as I was on the beach so I checked it out. Very divey. More of a local spot or for those that come to ocean city often. They have two pool tables that I didn't go to because the ppl on the table looked serious lol. Their menu has no prices and their website has no menu. A typical divey bar. Order food at the counter, pick up when ready. Order drinks at the bar. Was there the weekend of oceans calling music festival so they charged a $10 cover for all day access. Plenty of room at the beginning of the day. Got a table and some food. Wings were crispy and cooked well, but were old bay rubbed wings and seemed to have at least double salt. Inedible. Friends had sliders and they were happy. The whole place was totally packed by mid-afternoon and was still that way each time we stopped in throughout the night. The Cork is the Best. The parents went there when I was a little kid and now I am fortunate to own in OC and can experience the good times that the folks have. Places come and go in OC. Many have a business model to squeeze as much from tourists as they can and hope they do not remember when they return for their next vacation. The Cork is different. Billy and the gang treat everyone with friendliest and respect. It does not matter if it the busy times like FireFighter Week in June, Bike Week in September, or some sleepy winter night in February. I'm sure that the owner of the Cork Bar doesn't care about a YELP review; I feel certain that it prints money, great location & nice bartenders... but we will never come back. EVER! We're locals and were in OC for the Ocean's Calling festival- Saturday afternoon on our way to the show, we stopped by the bar, had a couple of drinks, played some music, did some singing & a couple of shots with people at the bar & tipped generously. We talked after we left, that the Bar reminded us of some places that we like to frequent in New Orleans, and that we would come back. Then we went to the show, saw an act, then thought we'd come back to the Cork Bar, while they were setting up the headliner. This time there was a bouncer checking ID's at the door. My wife didn't have an ID with her & the bouncer said that there were no exceptions- now I think that my wife looks pretty good for her age, but she is 65! SIXTY FIVE!
