Went in the middle of a 95 degree day and Bacio di Latte was an amazing hideaway from the heat. We were helped by Malazia and wow, those scoops were the most delicious of all our visits. She took her time to really mix the toppings in and YUM! Their gelato is always delicious and quality is out of this world. If you're hesitant to go, why? They offer samples. Go experience a bit of heaven on earth for yourself.
The gelato here is creamy, flavorful, and definitely high quality. They have a ton of flavors, and the staff is really helpful about letting you sample whatever you'd like before deciding. The shop is a little cramped inside, but there are a few seating areas along the walls. Portions are on the smaller side and the price is a little steep, but you are paying for quality, and the gelato delivers.
Really pretty and clean building inside, and there was a steady line of people when we got there. The workers were very nice, and allowed us to have a sample before picking a flavor. I ordered the Chocolate Pistachio Crunch in a sugar cone, and boy was it delicious! Great flavor with both crunchy and creamy textures. One thing to note is that there's no indoor seating, so we did have to stand outside on the side of the road. Nonetheless, I would happily order from this location again.
BEST GELATO I'VE EVER HAD! SO SOFT AND CREAMY! THEY HAVE PISTACHIO CREAM YOU HAVE TO ADD! and the service was amazing they let me sample flavors and they nearly wrapped the napkin around the cup! will definitely be going back!
The customer service here was amazing. All the staffs were kind, friendly, and helpful. We were able to try a few samples before ordering. One of our favs was the Yogurt Bianco. It was simple but delicious. Small place and the line could get pretty long. However, that little cup will put a smile on your face.
I've tried Bacio a few times now, and do quite enjoy it though it is quite expensive and still doesn't compare to the gelato in Italy. Their portions are also quite small for the price, so there's the reason I can't give full 5 stars. However, I think the occasional splurge for their gelato is okay. I do like their Affogato, and they do give out samples for their flavors before you can choose your flavor(s). Even single scoops can have 2 flavors. Located in the heart of Old Town Pasadena, closest parking lot is on De Lacey, so you'll have to walk over.
I always see a ridiculously long line outside the building so figured I'd give it a try. Gelato was good but nothing spectacular. No fancy flavors, just what you'd expect from an ice cream shop. I think Trader Joe's gelato might do it better (and much cheaper). Two flavors in a tiny sample-sized cup is $9 (!!!), so on price alone I would not return.
It was my first time trying gelato here and I was excited to check it out. The shop is on the smaller side with no tables or chairs. There was a short line when we visited on a Friday afternoon. They offer samples and had 3 vegan options available which was nice for my friend who is vegan. I ordered the raspberry sorbet and it was really good and fresh! I ordered it in a cup but they also have cones. The only downside was the customer service, the person who took our order took away from the excitement and overall experience.
Been passing by Bacio di Latte on my walks in Pasadena and always saw the long lines out the door. Must be popular, and must be good! Got the strawberry cheesecake, salted caramel, and peanut butter chocolate caramel as part of a regular cup. Once I got past the expected sugar overload of picking three of the most sweetest gelato options, I can say this is some really good stuff. You can tell this is some legit gelato because that stuff melted VERY quickly. Bu yeah, the quality is there. Staff are really friendly. They do a good job of keep the line moving, so even though the line seems long it goes pretty quickly. Wouldn't mind coming back down the road!
A cute little spot for a quick scoop of gelato to cool off in the afternoon or for a little dessert after dinner. The staff were friendly and let us get samples. They have a nice dairy-free selection. I thought the dairy-free strawberry was okay, nothing that knocked my socks off but was a good midday treat.
OMGEEEE- creeeamy and deeelicious!! I was a tad overwhelmed by the options so I got the best selling salted caramel. Soooo glad I did Ribbons of caramel...beyond flavorful. Service was speedy. Cut little place but tight...
I love Bacio di Latte as a business and I have been to many of their locations in Orange County. This location in Pasadena is in a prime location off Colorado and De Lacey. We parked nearby in the De Lacey parking structure off De Lacey and Green. The interior is one of the smaller locations, no seating. We took our ice cream to nearby outdoor seating in the area. So this location has a lot of room for improvement. There was 4 staff working, and no other customers. 2 of the staff stood in the middle practicing their scoops and basically stood in the way of the other 2 trying to help me. Like can you move? Practice with one of the flavors on the edge? Also I tried a couple of samples, and the texture was off compared to how I know it should be at other locations. Maybe they're not busy enough here and the flavors were sitting there too long cause a few of the flavors weren't as smooth as they normally are. We ended up getting the Regular in the Waffle Cone ($11.55) and chose a Mint Chocolate Chip and their namesake Bacio di Latte, which is a sweet cream. This 2 scoop feels smaller than their other locations too. Maybe they need more practice on making these scoops consistent. If this was my first encounter ever with Bacio di Latte I might never come back. But being a fan of the brand and knowing their potential, I hope they can take my feedback and make improvements to staff training and product quality. After all... THIS ISN'T CHEAP.
After grabbing dinner in the area, my friends and I were craving dessert, so we naturally had to go make our way to a sweet little treat, Bacio di Latte. Parking in Pasadena is tricky but I believe that you can go to any parking structure and get a cheaper parking deal. They let you sample the gelato so I tried everything chocolate and opted for the hazelnut and the ferrero rocher. They have three sizes for their cups: piccolo, regular, and grande. All the flavors were wonderful - I just prefer my gelato to be chocolate-forward! They also let you add two flavors for the piccolo and three flavors for the regular. Very generous if you ask me! This is a grab and go spot so be prepared to walk around with your gelato or eat it standing up! If there is a line and a crowd inside, it may be hard to linger and take the cute photos but the inside is aesthetic, cute, and worth a moment to take in. You could potentially sit in their window sill area if you end up going late night, which is what we ended up doing.

Soooo soft and creamy, but comes at a high price tag! The Piccolo cup which is the small size starts at $7.45. I wanted to try the Nutella cream, so I got the Ciocchino in the Piccolo size and that was $8.95. Crazy expensive for the size, but the quality and taste can easily justify the price tag. It's miles better than Hello Gelato across the street. I noticed that about half of their flavors are made from chocolate but they range from Nutella to Belgian Chocolate. Don't think I've seen that many different chocolate flavors in a gelato shop, so I found that very interesting. I tried their signature Bacio di Latte and the Belgian Chocolate. The texture is really on point. No icicles or hard clumps - just pure creamy ribbons. It's not too sweet to a point it takes away from the flavors. I really liked the Nutella cream liking the cup, and it had nuts for added contrast. I was worried it would be too much chocolate getting the Nutella cream and the Belgian Chocolate, but they surprisingly went really well together. They still stood out because they taste so different. Definitely see myself coming back here, though not as often as I'd like to because of the high price tag. read more
I am so glad that there is finally a branch opened in Pasadena! I used to drive all the way to West LA to get this, but now it's much closer! Shoutout to the best gelato I have had in LA! The gelato is very authentic and smooth and creamy! My go to flavors are usually the three chocolates, pistachio, Belgian chocolate, mint chip, and a few others. You get to sample the gelato before you order, so be sure to get those and make the best decision!! This spot is filled with many staffs who are not only warm and friendly, but are also very patient when serving customers, especially the long line! The spot is rather small, so there isn't any place to hang with your friends, but you can always walk around Old Town Pasadena with gelato in your hands. One thing to note would be parking. Parking is either on the street or the structure 1-2 blocks away (which is usually $1 for the first 2 hours). read more

Fantastic REAL gelato. My new go-to gelato place in SoCal. Tried 8 different flavors and they were all delightful. The service was also great and although there was a line it moved surprisingly fast. Highly recommend. read more

The gelato was melting as I received my waffle cone. I had to ask for a cup to catch the drippings. Although the place was visually appealing and the smell of fresh waffles was irresistible, I couldn't wholeheartedly recommend it. The cone had an overly hard texture that was difficult to bite into. I ordered the nut and chocolate coating, which was far too sweet on its own. Then, the two scoops of gelato turned into an immediate debate. read more

Yummmmmmm! I love gelato and the gelato here is amazing! You can even get your cup or cone line with pistachio or Nutella! I ordered a medium cup lined with pistachio and pistachio and chocolate mousse. It was DIVINE! My husband got the affogato and he said it was delicious! We paid about $20 for our order and yes it is expensive but you can tell the ingredients are of high quality. Definitely stop by if you're in the area. read more

We were driving around and noticed a long line and decided to try it. Upon entering you get a strong scent of freshly baked waffle cones. Staff were friendly and patient as we tried a few samples. My husband got the regular pistachio and liked it very much. I ordered a cup with two flavors : Chocolate hazelnut and Mousse di Pistachio. Both are divine! I loved the combination of flavors and the chunks of nuts were amazing. The gelato was creamy and rich of flavor. read more

Went to this gelato place to try while craving for ice cream. Inside the place has cute and elevated decors with their own QR menu when I walked in. I tried 3 flavors- Pistachio, Tiramisu, and Strawberry Cheesecake. They are all good flavors. But my 1st favorite was Strawberry Cheesecake; which has a tangy taste with crumble pieces of cheesecakes in it. Every bite was delicious. My 2nd favorite was Tiramisu; which has bold flavor that I like. There were many staff serving the customers; so i got our delicious dessert pretty quick even though the line was long. Customers were able to try variety of flavors when they ask and they provide samples on little spoons. I like that their gelato is freshly made using organic milk and organic cream. Overall, it was a delicious gelato that everyone should go try. read more

delicious creamy gelato. They had several unique flavors to choose from and we were able to sample a few before picking our favorites. They also had a variety of cone and cup options to choose from which included chocolate and pistachios. We also noticed some Vegan options for those who are plant based. The location was decorated very aesthetically. Service was quick and pleasant. My favorite flavor was "3 Cioccolati". I wish they had a flavor with Vanilla Beans in it, but other than that the flavors we sampled were all decadent. read more

Gelato is pretty good however Carlos the employee needs to work on his customer service skills. I asked for 3 different flavors of one pint each. He stated there are premade pints in the grab and go freezer. I responded with these pre made pints are rock hard and does not have the same texture which is what this establishment is known for. He shook his head and I apologized for making him do that. In my head I was wondering how is this any different than the multiple customers that ask for individual scoops. It took no longer than 5 minutes to do it. I still gave him a 15% tip but I know I shouldn't have. Just glad my family including my sister enjoyed it for her birthday. In all honesty if you don't like what you do don't work in that field. I had a low level job too and went to school for a better career. read more

Delicious! The gelato was very soft, so I'm not sure I'd recommend a cone. Even on a 70 degree day it was dripping everywhere! But the flavors were good, particularly the pistachio. You can get the cone or the bowl lined with pistachio or Nutella, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it. It's pretty, but I did not think it added much to the taste and it's an extra cost. The staff also seemed a little confused about the coatings when we ordered, but we got on the same page about it eventually! It's a very small store. Be prepared to eat outside. read more
overall: i definitely want to come back and try other flavors! food: we got two small cups with two flavors. i like how their menu offers suggestions of flavor pairings. we paired a hazelnut with chocolate and pistachio with i think peanut butter. both were super good and not too sweet! service: we went on a sunday evening and there was a line out the door. the line moves relatively fast and everyone was super friendly. u can try a lot of samples too. ambiance: there's not rly seating there's some benches but it's near the door so people are usually waiting in line in front of the benches. it can get crowded inside but that's too be expected bc of how popular they are. read more
This gelato shop is a chain- but always good to the last taste! The gelatos are so fresh, yummy and satisfying. Unfortunately, this great taste comes with a price- $7.45 ish for a small cup- but worth every penny if you are seeking something sweet in downtown Pasadena. There is a flavor for everyone if you fancy sweet gelato.....Unlike their own locations, this location does not have a place to sit.....note the gelato melts fast, so a cone can be kinda tricky when walking. read more

In the mood for something sweet - just come here. Don't even think about it - just go. It is the best gelato I've ever had - every bite was a delight. Service was great - always fun when you walk into happy employees. It sets the whole vibe. My go to is usually 21 Choice but oh boy - oldtown sure doesn't have a shortage of frozen treats. Parking is street or structure. read more

So, so good! They get super busy Friday & Saturday night like line out the door busy! So many flavors and same price as like Baskin Robbin's or a scoop of ice cream anywhere else. The gelatos are unique flavors and I love that the Nutella they offer around the cone is warm and just elevates the experience! 10/10 for dessert spots in Pasadena read more
The service here was quick, and the shop had a cozy, small atmosphere. I got the piccolo size, which was perfect and came with two flavor choices. I chose stracciatella and mint chip gelato; both were incredibly creamy and delicious! Good place for a sweet treat on a hot day. read more

Ciocchino (hazelnut) waffle cone with Belgian chocolate: wow, a chocolate lover's dream. I first had Bacio at one of their other locations and was pleasantly surprised to see them open in Old Pas. This is one of those places where you really can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Free samples provided. The ambiance of the store is clean and decadent compared to rival gelato/ice cream stores. I find this place most similar to Eataly gelato and I personally like this place better! I definitely want to try their coffee at my next visit. Bacio is a great and welcomed addition to the old pas scene. read more

Newest gelato spot in Old Town Pasadena. Its located where the old 21 Choices location was. As far as parking, its old town so there is paid street or structure parking. The store itself is slick and clean with no inside seating. So you will most likely have to grab and go eat elsewhere. I got their pistachio gelato and it was really good. On the pricey side though - it was ~$9 for a single scoop on a cone. read more

Absolutely love Bacio di Latte! Their gelato is picturesque and the flavor is even better! We tried the strawberry cheesecake and the peanut butter cookie crunch, they were both delicious, but I preferred hers over mine lol. I really like the pistachio as well, I got to try a taste before I picked my flavor because one of the employees recommended it. I want to try their stracciatella next time! The inside of the shop is really cute, it reminds me of something straight out of Italy. The one thing I will say is it is on the pricey side, so don't be alarmed if the total is over $20 for two people. read more

After finishing Tsuke Ramen last night, we wanted a little pick-me-up and found Bacio di Latte right across the street which a perfect location! It was still open, so we decided to give it a try. Best decision ever. This place isn't just about coffee they also serve gelato, which is such a win (affogato lovers, you'll be happy!). I ordered a vanilla latte, and while it came out warm at first, I asked for extra hot. The barista was super sweet and immediately fixed it with a smile no questions asked. The second cup was perfect! Now, the gelato... wow. I got the crunchy chocolate pistachio (gave me Dubai chocolate vibes - SO good!) and mint, which was fresh and delicious. Creamy, flavorful, and just the right amount of indulgence. The cafe itself is tiny but super cute and cozy. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely adding this to my go-to list for coffee and gelato in Pasadena. Can't wait to come back! read more
