I tried Bacio for the first time at another location and was OBSESSED, so I had to stop by this location when I saw it. The gelato at this location has the same quality as the other I've tried. I've been to Italy and I'd say that the gelato at Bacio is comparable, which says a lot! They offer samples here and everything I've tried is amazing where it's hard to pick a favorite flavor. My husband and I ended up ordering the pistachio to share and thoroughly enjoyed it! We came on a Thursday night and there was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. Service was friendly and the store was aesthetic.
The gelato here is creamy, flavorful, and definitely high quality. They have a ton of flavors, and the staff is really helpful about letting you sample whatever you'd like before deciding. The shop is a little cramped inside, but there are a few seating areas along the walls. Portions are on the smaller side and the price is a little steep, but you are paying for quality, and the gelato delivers.
Really pretty and clean building inside, and there was a steady line of people when we got there. The workers were very nice, and allowed us to have a sample before picking a flavor. I ordered the Chocolate Pistachio Crunch in a sugar cone, and boy was it delicious! Great flavor with both crunchy and creamy textures. One thing to note is that there's no indoor seating, so we did have to stand outside on the side of the road. Nonetheless, I would happily order from this location again.
Went in the middle of a 95 degree day and Bacio di Latte was an amazing hideaway from the heat. We were helped by Malazia and wow, those scoops were the most delicious of all our visits. She took her time to really mix the toppings in and YUM! Their gelato is always delicious and quality is out of this world. If you're hesitant to go, why? They offer samples. Go experience a bit of heaven on earth for yourself.
BEST GELATO I'VE EVER HAD! SO SOFT AND CREAMY! THEY HAVE PISTACHIO CREAM YOU HAVE TO ADD! and the service was amazing they let me sample flavors and they nearly wrapped the napkin around the cup! will definitely be going back!
The customer service here was amazing. All the staffs were kind, friendly, and helpful. We were able to try a few samples before ordering. One of our favs was the Yogurt Bianco. It was simple but delicious. Small place and the line could get pretty long. However, that little cup will put a smile on your face.
I've tried Bacio a few times now, and do quite enjoy it though it is quite expensive and still doesn't compare to the gelato in Italy. Their portions are also quite small for the price, so there's the reason I can't give full 5 stars. However, I think the occasional splurge for their gelato is okay. I do like their Affogato, and they do give out samples for their flavors before you can choose your flavor(s). Even single scoops can have 2 flavors. Located in the heart of Old Town Pasadena, closest parking lot is on De Lacey, so you'll have to walk over.
I always see a ridiculously long line outside the building so figured I'd give it a try. Gelato was good but nothing spectacular. No fancy flavors, just what you'd expect from an ice cream shop. I think Trader Joe's gelato might do it better (and much cheaper). Two flavors in a tiny sample-sized cup is $9 (!!!), so on price alone I would not return.
It was my first time trying gelato here and I was excited to check it out. The shop is on the smaller side with no tables or chairs. There was a short line when we visited on a Friday afternoon. They offer samples and had 3 vegan options available which was nice for my friend who is vegan. I ordered the raspberry sorbet and it was really good and fresh! I ordered it in a cup but they also have cones. The only downside was the customer service, the person who took our order took away from the excitement and overall experience.
Been passing by Bacio di Latte on my walks in Pasadena and always saw the long lines out the door. Must be popular, and must be good! Got the strawberry cheesecake, salted caramel, and peanut butter chocolate caramel as part of a regular cup. Once I got past the expected sugar overload of picking three of the most sweetest gelato options, I can say this is some really good stuff. You can tell this is some legit gelato because that stuff melted VERY quickly. Bu yeah, the quality is there. Staff are really friendly. They do a good job of keep the line moving, so even though the line seems long it goes pretty quickly. Wouldn't mind coming back down the road!
A cute little spot for a quick scoop of gelato to cool off in the afternoon or for a little dessert after dinner. The staff were friendly and let us get samples. They have a nice dairy-free selection. I thought the dairy-free strawberry was okay, nothing that knocked my socks off but was a good midday treat.
OMGEEEE- creeeamy and deeelicious!! I was a tad overwhelmed by the options so I got the best selling salted caramel. Soooo glad I did Ribbons of caramel...beyond flavorful. Service was speedy. Cut little place but tight...
I love Bacio di Latte as a business and I have been to many of their locations in Orange County. This location in Pasadena is in a prime location off Colorado and De Lacey. We parked nearby in the De Lacey parking structure off De Lacey and Green. The interior is one of the smaller locations, no seating. We took our ice cream to nearby outdoor seating in the area. So this location has a lot of room for improvement. There was 4 staff working, and no other customers. 2 of the staff stood in the middle practicing their scoops and basically stood in the way of the other 2 trying to help me. Like can you move? Practice with one of the flavors on the edge? Also I tried a couple of samples, and the texture was off compared to how I know it should be at other locations. Maybe they're not busy enough here and the flavors were sitting there too long cause a few of the flavors weren't as smooth as they normally are. We ended up getting the Regular in the Waffle Cone ($11.55) and chose a Mint Chocolate Chip and their namesake Bacio di Latte, which is a sweet cream. This 2 scoop feels smaller than their other locations too. Maybe they need more practice on making these scoops consistent. If this was my first encounter ever with Bacio di Latte I might never come back. But being a fan of the brand and knowing their potential, I hope they can take my feedback and make improvements to staff training and product quality. After all... THIS ISN'T CHEAP.

Went in after dinner on a Friday night for some dessert. The line was not too long, and service was great. They were very patient and made sure I had the best experience. I was able to sample all the flavors that stood out to me before ultimately ordering the sweet cream, served in a cone dipped in Nutella and topped with hazelnuts. The gelato was perfectly soft, creamy, and thick. Can't wait to come back! read more

Got the vegan chocolate and strawberry flavors and they were both amazing! Not only amazing for a vegan ice cream but truly some of the best I've had!! Extremely creamy and rich! The chocolate flavor was super rich and strawberry was fresh and real not the fake strawberry flavor! Ambiance is cute and modern and service was fast and friendly! read more

This gelato place gives me Europe vibes. The gelato was fantastic! It was hard to choose a flavor because everything is honestly so good. Just depends on your mood. The staff was very patient and helpful with answering questions. If you have been to old town Pasadena for any reason, you already know how parking goes. There are structures on all the streets. I would definitely come back. read more
You had me a gelato! We were so excited to visit this new location and I'm so happy that we don't need to go to Orange County or the Westside to enjoy this AMAZING dessert. I loved the option of being able to try the different flavors before commiting. The option to have multiple flavors in one cup is so ingenious, trust me, you will not be able to pick just one flavor. All of them are soooo good and we can't wait to come back for more! read more

The gelato has a great texture and rich flavor. Mine melted super fast--I had to eat some before I could even snap a photo, haha! The waffle cone was perfectly toasted with a nice crunch, though it was a bit sweet for my taste. The servings are generous, so next time I'll stick to just one scoop. A little goes a long way! I would give it 5 stars but it was too sweet for me. read more

This is definitely the most expensive gelato I have ever had, with a tiny cup (up to two flavors) costing just under $10 with tax - it's is also one of the best gelato I have ever tasted. The space is small, so it is not really a spot to sit and eat inside, but there are plenty of places nearby in One Colorado where you can relax and enjoy. The staff was friendly and patient, even with a busy line, and they happily let you try a few flavors before making your choice. The flavors are really creative alongside the classics, and everything was super clean and well cared for. It probably will not be an everyday treat at that price, but it is definitely worth trying at least once if you are in the area. read more
This is premium gelato! Had the pistachio and the Belgium chocolate and it makes me scream OMG hallelujah! The line was long but worth the wait. Creamy smooth and so soft on the tongue, melts quickly so I would suggest a cup instead of the cone. I'm definitely going back for seconds and thirds and fourth read more
First time trying the gelato here. I took my mom for a treat after dinner. The place has very nice warm lighting with a soft focus around the gelato counter. There was a line and we waited about 5-7 minutes. The staff is friendly, we did sample a couple flavors. I ended up getting the affogato with pistachio gelato (not the whipped type). My mom chose a tiramisu scoop in a sugar cone. All the gelato looked so luxurious when getting scooped. The quality is delicious! Make sure to take your lactaid if you're sensitive to lactose. Keep in mind there is one vegan sorbet flavor. This place is for the rich dairy lovers. read more
The long wait is finally over! This corner spot has changed tenants a couple of times, and now it's home to a gelato shop. We had the pleasure of being assisted by Lilliani (apologies if I got her name wrong!). They offer vegan options, and every flavor we tried was absolutely delicious. Even the smallest size lets you choose two flavors. We went with Biscotti & Cream and Crunchy Belgian Chocolate--so good! read more
I have previously tried this spot at Century mall & I loved it. I was excited this spot opened near my neighborhood. I ordered a double scoop with a waffle cone dipped in Nutella with hazelnuts. The waffle cone is amazing, very crunchy, vanilla infused, & tasty. I had a crema torino scoop which is like ferrero rocher as ice cream. My second scoop was pistachio mousse which was a nice blend of pistachio & sweet cream. The servers were amicable. The line was lengthy but the servers were engaging & offered sampling while in line. By the time I was at the front I knew what to order. Worth the price. read more

Small little place so might be a line for the Gelato. You can sample each flavor but really enjoyed the pistachio and strawberry flavor. I wouldn't get the pistachio cream cone one since it was over powering. So might take some time to get your Gelato since only so many people can be in the shop. read more

A bit pricey for the amount you get, but the gelato is quality. It is sweet and has a churned thick texture. I had the Stracciatella and I think that the dessert itself is 5/5! It is a little pricey for me however. The shop itself has a very clean, cozy, and warm aesthetic and the staff were friendly. If you're in the area and are looking for good gelato you won't go wrong with Bacio di Latte :) read more
It was a chilly Thursday evening, we were walking around Old Town Pasadena, and came across people standing in line for gelato. Even though it was cold, we decided to try Bacio di Latte out. We're glad we did! The ladies in front offered samples for us to try. The samples were a bit small, so the wooden spoon taste kind of overpowered the actually gelato flavor haha. Overall though, it was very good, so it was hard to decide. But once we got our flavors selected, all was good. I only wish I got a larger size haha. read more

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, and there was a bit of a wait due to the line. The line didn't take too long, took about ten minutes until my turn to order. The decor inside is clean and simple, and the staff were patient and cool. I got one cup filled with the Sweet Amarena flavor, which is essentially wild cherries and cream. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was not only pretty but so fresh and delicious to taste!! I felt like I was transported to a city in Italy. My gelato was that good~ I can't wait to come back and try more of their flavors. read more

I'm honestly really disappointed with my last visit to Bacio di Latte. This used to be one of my favorite spots, but the experience has gone downhill in a big way. Customer service is basically nonexistent. The staff seemed bored, uninterested, and honestly had an attitude the entire time. On top of that, they weren't knowledgeable about the flavors or ingredients--and couldn't even pronounce some of the flavors correctly, which is pretty concerning for a gelato shop. They also charged incorrectly for cup sizes, and the portions were surprisingly small. It felt like they didn't even know how to properly balance multiple flavors on a cone. But the biggest issue--and the reason I won't be coming back--is the condition of the gelato itself. The flavors were visibly melting inside the display case, which clearly means they are not being kept at the proper temperature. The case was messy and looked dirty, and there was obvious cross-contamination between flavors. You could literally see different gelatos mixed into each other. This place used to be great, but something is seriously off now. Maybe they need better management, because this is not acceptable for a place that used to have such a good reputation. I definitely won't be coming back, and I'll be warning others about this experience. read more

Was very excited to try this new gelato spot! There's always a line out the door and the decor is really cute. I read reviews mentioning the steep price so I was expecting it, but it was still shocking to see truly how small the Piccolo cup is (the size of my palm) and the price is $7.45. However, was nice to be able to sample a few flavors without restriction (looking at you, Hello Gelato), and also being able to combine two flavors in the small cup. I think my biggest disappointment was in how melted the texture of the gelato was. It was a warm day when I came but not particularly hot, and when I received my gelato it was basically liquid so I couldn't really appreciate the true intended texture (assuming it's not supposed to be that soupy). I got pistachio mousse + hazelnut experience and those were really good, rich flavors. I'm glad I came by to try but not sure I would be running back due to the price and texture of the gelato. read more

I branched out and tried the Cocco Rio to go with the pistachio. Nextime I may go all Cocco Rio - it was that good! read more
Super duper delicious!!! I thought the chocolate would be just basic. But I was big time wrong! You get whole hazelnuts in it!! Both flavor was delicious! The line was insane, but so worth it. Hang in there and you'll be rewarded handsomely. The boy that served me made 2 mistakesI ordered pistachio cream with hazelnuts, but he made Nutella with hazelnut, and the second one pistachio cream with pistachio. But what ever.. I took it anyway and it was so yummy.. read more

Amazing service and even better gelato. I had the Greek yogurt flavor which I don't believe they have anymore but it was delicious. The store itself is tiny but definitely would come back again. The girls working were so sweet as well. read more
