Great new spot to sit and watch the world go buy in Grapevine. Came on the 2nd night they were open and they were packed which was great to see. Sat in the lovely lobby area just off the bar and to the left of the main entrance of the hotel in some comfy seats and enjoyed the 6 charcuterie board. The meats and cheeses were very good and fresh and the candied nuts(yum!). Menu online said they had 8 cocktails on HH however there was only one and it was an Old Fashion. That happened to be my fav drink so of course I ordered! Crazy thing is it didn't even taste like an old fashioned? Color was off and no cherry either ? We came here with friends while visiting from out of town. We brought our two young kids which was probably not the best idea, but the staff was extremely accommodating! The ambience was very romantic and the place was buzzing with activity since the restaurant is in the hotel. I love the modern table scape they had for their larger seating option. We got the cacio e pepe and the amatriciana (two pasta dishes) and the crispy brussels and Yukon gold potato purée for sides. The servings were surprisingly large for the pasta and we brought home a lot of leftovers. The two dishes were very similar in taste and not super unique for a nice restaurant IMO but good nonetheless. The potato purée was good but the show stopper were the Brussels! They were crispy, caramelized perfectly, and just the right amount of sweetness. My daughter picked off all the thick cut bacon that it was topped with because it was SO GOOD. I got the Peachy Mule cocktail which was delicious and not too sweet. Our server, Hunter, was very attentive and was so nice to our party and our kids even though we were probably rowdier than the neighboring tables. Recommend the parking at the hotel (free for the first 90 minutes). We came here on a Saturday morning to have a sit down brunch before heading out shopping. Our server took a very long time to approach us, and then disappeared again before returning to take our order. We put in our orders, and then again, waited, and waited and waited until we saw the table next to us that had arrived after us receive their food ahead of us. I had to grab their server and ask if our food was coming soon, as we were all very hungry. Within ten minutes our plates arrived, with zero explanation of the delay from our server. My eggs benedict were hard boiled in the center, my daughter's flatbread was the wrong one and her friend's salad was ok but possibly the only meal that was made ahead of time. I did not say anything because I was worried that it would take even longer to get the correct order, and we just paid and left as soon as we could. The one mixed drink I ordered was very good, and I would consider returning to just have cocktails but will never eat here again. read more

We treated some friends to a lovely dinner at Bacchus during the DFW Restaurant Week. The burrata was delicious! Hats off to the chef for the genius move of adding chopped pistachios to the dish for a crunch! The airline chicken with brussel sprouts and Gouda grits was heavenly as well. I'd order that again and again. Others at the table enjoyed the wagyu beef and lentil soup. The meatballs were a mixed bag; some enjoyed them and some did not. The issues that kept this from a 5 star rating was not just the summer salad that someone clearly overloaded with salt, making it uneatable, but the Surf and Turf. My husband went off the restaurant week menu and ordered the server suggested steak and lobster. The lobster was served, no joke, chopped. I wish I had gotten a picture. My husband couldn't believe it for the price. That was truly a let down for our $450 meal. The menu is on the shorter side, which is always a great sign that the quality of food is usually better. We had outstanding service from Jack and would come back. This is a great spot for brunch after church!! Our family decided to meet up in Grapevine since it was central to all of us! Love Main St in Grapevine. We were greeted immediately and seated at the bar comfortably! We all ordered our drinks and the bloody Mary was delicious with Tito's vodka and the other drinks were Tito's with a splash of orange juice and cranberry juice. My husband ordered the Bacchus breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes and I had the crab cake eggs Benedict. It was delicious. Great place inside Hotel Vin. It's in the center of the hotel. Met a friend here for lunch on a Friday. Restaurant wasn't busy. The view is great. Huge windows that look out into a pretty outdoor seating area. Service was great!! Christine was super friendly and knowledgeable. She was attentive and accommodating. She suggested a ton of great options for food and drinks. We ordered the Salad of the Gods. It was fantastic. The dressing was great, the goat cheese was the perfect amount and the pecans and figs tied it all together. We also ordered the Shrimp and Grits. The grits were creamy with a hint of Gouda cheese. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the glaze on the shrimp was slightly sweet, but complimented the dish. We also ordered the Illyad Espresso Martini. It was very good, but probably not worth $14 per drink. Definitely worth trying, but be aware, it's a little pricey. The portions were a little small, but something to expect from a restaurant of this quality. The prices were a little high, but again, it's a restaurant inside a very nice hotel. My family and I went to Bacchus last weekend for restaurant week. This year very few restaurants in Fort Worth were participating and making my parents drive to Dallas from Crowley is definitely something I don't want to do. So we tried this restaurant. I couldn't figure out what type of cuisine was served here initially. Honestly I'm still not for sure. Someone mentioned Mediterranean and I love that kind of food normally-- but not from here. We arrived on time and our table was ready on time. It was extremely loud from all of the people at the bar and others congregating around. I prefer quieter places as my mom is hard of hearing. We had to yell to talk to each other. Our waitress was very nice and she knew her stuff. We ordered off of the restaurant week menu so options were limited but we were excited to try something new. The menu was very hard to read-- very few ingredients or explanation on the restaurant week menu and the regular menu wasn't much of a help. Maybe this is a rich people thing? I'm not sure. In addition to the restaurant week menu we ordered 2 appetizers--stuffed cabbage rolls and crispy artichoke. They were small but tasted good. At this point I was very excited for my food. First course-- I ordered the summer salad. It was pretty much lemony lettuce. The lemon was completely overpowering. No croutons or anything crunchy to balance it out. My brother ordered gazpacho soup. It was so salty his tongue was burning but he powered through and ate it bc he was hungry. Second course-- I ordered burrata, only the second course didn't show up until after third course. Somehow the kitchen got confused? The description on the menu said pistachio, heirloom tomatoes. What I received was a big ball of cheese that tasted like nothing but a bunch of pesto on top, bread, tomatoes and pistachios. It was not good at all. I tried different combos of the items on my plate and it was just bland, mismatched food thrown together on a plate. Maybe it would've tasted differently if I had gotten it before my third course? My mom ordered the meatballs and I'm not kidding-- the sauce tasted exactly like chef boyardee meatballs that come in a can from Walmart. My husband ordered the tuna tartar and he still isn't sure where the actual tuna was on his plate. Third course-- chicken breast with Brussel sprouts and grits. Listen-- I cook chicken breast every single day in my air fryer. I feel like I put a generous amount of seasoning on my own chicken, including salt. The chicken that arrived at my table was SO SALTY it was inedible. I'm not a picky person but every person at my table tried a bite and the faces we made had us cracking up. Somehow this chicken took a bath in salt water yet no seasonings could be seen on the actual chicken. It was truly comical how absolutely disgusting this chicken was. I've never witnessed someone mess up cooking a chicken breast this badly. I ate the Brussel sprouts and grits, but I was pretty much done at that point. I was honestly really looking forward to dessert but I wanted nothing else from this restaurant. Our waitress asked how the food was and we said not good. Its not her fault so we didn't complain or anything to her. Also who could complain about a meal that is 'discounted' for a charity? We simply paid and got out of there as quick as we could. I probably apologized over 10 times throughout the meal to my family because I was the one that chose this restaurant. We participate in DFW restaurant week every year and it's always so much fun and a nice treat because typically we cannot afford to eat at fancy restaurants. Out of 10 years this is by far, hands down the absolute worst restaurant we've ever eaten at. I was mortified that my parents ended up paying at least $300 ($49 per person X 6) -as they never let us pay for food- that was this nasty. We even mentioned not participating in DFW restaurant week next year in fear of choosing a bad restaurant like we did this year. I sat at the bar and calmly waited for 15 minutes and neither of the 3 bartenders bothered to even greet me, much less take my order. It took me asking the bar back whether he could take my drink order for me to even be given a menu or water. Minutes later, an older white couple sat next to me and the bartender was happy to greet them. Everyone at the bar had their drinks or were simply drinking water and taking up space. Everything else was great. HH was not impressive with only one Old Fashioned, one beer and a reduced price wine by the glass option. Sadly, the OFs were poor. We've tried Bacchus five times now. What we love about Bacchus is the atmosphere! It's simply amazing and cozy. The smell of the main area takes you back to a Vegas hotel. However, their food quality is lacking given the high end prices. We are happy to pay for good food but this just isn't up to par. The food is either too salty, lacks flavor or seems pre-made. Presentation lacks properly set on the plate with the correct garnish. If you're looking for a place to kick back and enjoy the atmosphere, live entertainment and people watching this place is for you! However, if you're looking for great food this might be a place you'd have to just accept how the food tasks because you get atmosphere. Maybe a few drinks in, it wouldn't matter. For reference, I had a steak and mushrooms and both were over salted. My wife had the chicken and it was very dry. The grits and mashed potatoes were good. We tried them twice when they opened and they've improved but still needs to amp up the food choices and quality for the prices. read more

Cassidy, Brooke, and Laura at the bar, are superb. Server Ian is a top notch addition to the team. Manager Sheresa W. is a gem. No really, I would hire Sheresa to work for me tomorrow if she'd let me. She's smart, attentive, kind, empathetic and goes above an expert level of service in every interaction. Beyond that, the hostess is lovely and communicative, and the margs are delicious. I ate here 5 times throughout the week, as I was staying at the hotel, and 3/5 were good. Only two were less than stellar, and the managerial staff works hard to rectify any issues. I will say, almost all of the issues have to do with opening operations and lack of communication or new staff. I have high hopes for this place, once they get through opening pains. You can't beat house made Casa Migos margs, the FREAKIN PIEEEEE and the deviled eggs. I also tried the salad with chicken, the steak, charcuterie board, and the breakfast eggs. Through and through the service is superior, which makes it a nice and relaxing place to be. On top of that, they have the trains passing by in the back, and live music on the weekends. We've given them several tries now! Although the location and atmosphere are on point, the food is overpriced, unimpressive, and odd! We first visited two weeks after opening and our charcuterie was fantastic but the steak and green beans lacked flavor. The waitress agreed and brought us several items to try and all were bad except French fries. That was in September. We gave them grace as it was newly opened! We decided to try again for a pre-Christmas date. They weren't very busy but stuck us away from the main area despite making a specific request on our reservation. We felt like we were in timeout. Our old fashions were weak and not the right color. The alcohol was either diluted or not the right kind at all. I ordered salmon that came out completely raw along with a strange bean mush under it. The manager did make this right and comped our meal. However, this experience is disappointing as it's been twice now and friends are having similar experiences. I'm happy to pay for a great meal but their kitchen seems to be lacking. Perhaps a renown chef would help at this point. Our waitress even commented that the kitchen was total chaos. She was absolutely fantastic with her service! This past weekend we tried Harvest Hall. We had Arepo Tacos and they were decent but nothing special. Our friends had Monkey King Asian and enjoyed it. I ordered a scoop of gelato from Main Line that was $5.41 and wasn't a full scoop. The bat area is large and welcoming! Our bartender/mixologist Shubham did a great job with our old fashioneds. He scorched the orange which is not often done. He also stamped our ice cube which was a nice touch. Then he suggested a cinnamon smoked old fashioned - yum! I don't normally like cinnamon but this was mild in taste and delicious! So first things first, this place has lovely decor and the outside seating area is just stunning. They even have live music on Saturday afternoons. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a cocktail. This was my first time at Bacchus and I was very impressed! With mixed reviews on Yelp, I was unsure about taking my group here for our annual Christmas dinner in Grapevine. I've been to expensive restaurants in different cities including New York city (often called the food capital of the world). But I have never felt more duped than at this place. I ordered the scallops and the served me 4 scallops about an inch tall by 1.5 in diameter with some yellow sauce and some garnish...$32 dollars. The eggplant parmesan was $26 and while this dish was a bit more generous it still was on the meager side . Finally we ordered the Ossobuco. The portions were medium but it was $120. Oh and the bar charged $15 for each mojito and they forgot to put the sugar in. You decide if you want to spend your money here or if you'll feel happier elsewhere. I definitely didn't. read more
