Came in for birthday reservations at 930 which they stop seating at 945. Told us we had 15 minutes to order which was weird. Brought the salads and literally said they ran out of dressing. Which I asked just make more blue cheese. Instead they gave me a ranch probably from a packet. Horrible. The steaks came out while we were eating our salad 2 minutes later. They moved our salad to the side and place dinner. My steak was ordered medium rare and it was well done at best Wife's ordered sea bass. It was crusty outside and completely raw inside. The ordered wild mushrooms in sherry were completely dry and rubbery not even a drop of oil. Like they were taken from fridge and reheated. Do not go to this restaurant. Had dinner here....I mean the food is good but I do think it is overpriced. I get that if you are staying at the hotel is practical and convenient. With that said I am not sure I will eat at this restaurant if I wasn't staying at the hotel or had a car to go somewhere else. So far not so good. Waitress passed by 3 times and were told she would be back to take our order. We paid $38 for two tickets for ?? . Not sure yet. Music-band is good. Will Update as the night progressed but so far not worth $38. Chill is looking better. Turns out -all the employees here seem to hate their jobs. Wow, what a great location inside the new Vin Hotel! This is open, spacious, and a place that really knows their wine. They had varietal glasses made by Riedel. I mean... LOTS of glasses, which truly enhanced the wine pairings. I didn't believe it until I tried a Cab out of a Pinot glass, and vice versa. If you are having a great glass or bottle of wine, it only makes sense to have the very best glassware and decanters to match it. This place knocks it out of the park. The food is unparalleled, and large format. Bacchus was the god of wine in mythology... but this place is no myth!!! It's the real deal. Check it out. We met family last Saturday for brunch/lunch. I had eggs benedict, my favorite going out brunch food. It was outstanding and did not disappoint me. Everyone else enjoyed their meal, too. Service was good. My only complaint was that there was no non-herbal teas. I like regular black tea, not the flavored teas. Being my first time to Grapevine we were pleasantly surprised with the restaurants location to historic Grapevine - we enjoyed the walk afterwards. read more

We should have read the reviews before waiting 40 mins to eat here.. honestly they weren't even that busy but it was SUPER loud- we had a server AND a trainee who barely came around--at all. The appetizer came BEFORE we even had our drinks. We ordered the goat cheese strawberry Crostinis which was SO SPICY. Our waiter did replace them with none of the spicy oil but that left them hard and flavorless. We ordered the lobster ravioli and, without requesting it being split and without our waiter mentioning it, they charged us $4 for a split plate fee. Ridiculous. Place is really beautiful. The interior is very well done. Staff was friendly. Food was truly excellent. We had the octopus, Brussels sprouts, charcuterie, Salad of the Gods and the Scallops and Pork Cheek over Grits. There was nothing we ate that wasn't excellent. Old fashioned from the bar was excellent but a weak pour. For a $13 drink get me closer to The Loon please. ;) Moscow Mule was meh. Prices were a tad bit high on everything. Came on opening night to check out this new concept in Hotel Vin. First, it's GORGEOUS inside! Service was fantastic and the food was divine. We shared some pan seared chicken and a leg roast that was perfectly rare. My stand out favorite were the clams casino and the profound greens salad. Make sure to check out the outdoor patio with grapevines and watch the trains come and go! What a cool spot for brunch (hopefully our next experience), lunch with friends, or date night! read more

Finally tried Bacchus. It is a pretty restaurant and good food, but skimpy portions for the most part. But what ruins it all is the bad service. No, they weren't busy, no they weren't short staffed. In fact, part of the problem could have been over-staffed because the wait staff stood in clusters ignoring empty water carafes, empty coffee cups , people trying to get their ticket and pay...on and on. Ordered coffee upon being seated. She brought water carafe right away , but 15 minutes passed to ask again for the coffee we ordered. Then waited another 5 minutes. Very strange. We also ordered mimosa's and were told we couldn't be served the mimosas until we had our food. Hmmm..... I've been to restaurants all over Grapevine and Tarrant County for over 30 years and never had to wait for the food to come to get drinks. I haven't researched yet if this has some legal merit or not. If it does, no other restaurant follows this. Have lived in Grapevine 32 years and frequent almost exclusively Grapevine restaurants 2-3 times a week, but will not return to this place. I'll save it for the unsuspecting tourists. read more

Excellent drinks and good selection of apps and food. We had Bellini and Strawberry & Goat Cheese Crostini for a late afternoon snack. Service was very good with the bartenders taking turns to make sure we had drinks and refill our water glasses. We will have to come back next weekend to try the brunch read more

Wow! Dinner: Appetizer- fried artichoke. Delicious! Perfectly lightly fried. Entrees- My husband ordered the steak and said it was great. I ordered a wedge salad and the Cacio e Pepe. The salad had great flavor and was perfectly dressed. Service was top notch. Our waiter was attentive and kind. Lunch- The grilled chicken sandwich!! It seems so unassuming with a name like that but it is excellent. We drive from Dallas to get this sandwich. In fact, we love it so much, we tried to make it at home. Lol. I hope it stays on the menu bc it is the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Most hotel restaurants aren't great.... Bacchus is excellent! I have only eaten one other time and it was just ok. Last night I tried it because it was raining and I didn't feel like leaving the hotel. I order the eggplant parmigiana. I was expecting that it might come with bread or a side salad. It didn't. It was an average portion with sauce on it. They didn't offer extra cheese or anything else to go with it. I was disappointed that I was paying $26 for that! It was bland and just ok. Part of the issue might have been that I was sitting at the bar and the bartender was not really interested in my opinion when he asked how everything was. Surprising for a restaurant like this. I may try it again sometime, but for now I would say the food was average and overpriced for what you received and the service was less than 3 stars. Went out with couples group for Restaurant Week. Beautiful location and made great first impression. Sadly, food did not match impression. Waiter said we are all supposed to all order off either of RW menu or regular menu, we could not mix it up. Later backed off and let everyone order what they wanted. Lets talk about the food. Gazpacho was puréed and very acidic, wife could only get a quarter of the way through her bowl. Wife got the tuna tartare, okay but missing seasoning. I got the burrata- needed some additional seasoning and was served with bread with burn marks. Burnt flavor was very off putting. Final course was Salmon. Again needed seasoning. The broccolini was strange, had a butane flavor. Cenneloni was over seasoned, salty. Overall very disappointing. We did order dessert off the menu, the chocolate bomb. It was great read more

Truly the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant in such a 5 star setting. Their menu prices certainly don't match the level of service offered. The food was SO slow to come out with zero explanation. And it was all very lack luster. The mussels were inedible and swimming in what was basically just chicken broth with parsley floating around. The server could not have cared less about taking care of us and knew next to nothing about the menu. Just a very sad experience when we had such high expectations. Keep your money! We loved the ambiance and decor but the food is subpar at best unless you're just doing appetizers. I had the cacio e pepe and I was expecting at cheesy dish with a peppery finish and I'm not sure they even used cheese at all. It's an easy dish and I definitely set my expectations too high. The bar is nice as well. Now for the reality. It was busy for a Sunday night. They had one waiter working the whole place. We felt sorry for the guy, as the extremely slow service was clearly not his fault. There was no management to be found. Drinks were ok, someone lacking of liquor. We ordered the meat and cheese board. We were shocked when it came out. It was much smaller than their pictures showed. Also ordered the meatballs and risotto. Both dishes were completely over-salted. The meat balls were inedible because of this. Risotto was barely eatable because of the over-salting. Very disappointed. Our first time to Bacchus was supposed to be very special, and now it's memorable in the worst way. I'm absolutely appalled by how our evening went. Had reservations, even arrived early, then sat, and sat. Not a single person stopping by to offer water, let us know they were busy, nothing. We waited for 30 minutes and got up to leave. The manager and GM were apologetic and offered to reseat us in the bubbles on the roof...over two hours from our original reservation. We were out as a family for my wife's birthday and could not wait that long with children. I don't know how to express the disappointment and disgust we felt. Completely ruined our special night out. The staff was slow and could care less, took them a while t set up the table, even though we had a reservation, and they were not busy. There are no children's dishes. Food was all cold; bacon was way undercooked. They did bring out cooked bacon, but it took a while. The chocolate croissant was not a croissant, but a pastry that was tough and hard and cold -- clearly stale. The bill came and I never saw the detail, but at $169 (6 adults), the gratuity was already added in, although the service warranted NO tip. I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the male manager and our waitress. I even mentioned I planned to post a very poor review, not once did the manager attempt to make it right. We are on vacation a tried this restaurant. Other than being slightly confusing on how to arrive there was nothing negative about it. The location is great, in a hotel where the first floor is filled with small restaurants to what resemble a food court of quality food. We chose bacchus for the menu options as it provided something for the entire family. Our children loved the food. The chef was amenable to their request and they ate all of their food, which says a lot for kids that eat Mac and cheese and chicken tenders for a living. Our waiter was very helpful and prompt. The cocktail menu has all the classics. We aren't a wine family but the menu was pretty extensive from what we can tell. I have not had an octopus this good outside of Spain and would come back just for that. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and my wife loved the salad. read more

Ordered the 18 oz Cowboy Bone-in Ribeye with herb butter and potato purée for $59.00. I requested medium rare. It arrived pre-sliced with juice flowing all over the board. This was the smallest 18 oz steak that I've ever seen! The bone wasn't that big so I'm guessing this steak was nowhere close to being 18 oz even with the bone! For $60 I would expect to be happy with my steak, but sadly it was way over cooked. There was no pink edge and definitely no red center! The steak was cooked "well done", without a doubt. It was tender and flavorful, but not what I ordered. I advised our waitress and her reply was "well, they test the temperature before we bring it out." I reiterated that the steak was overcooked and not to my liking. She hesitated and then asked if I wanted her to take it back. I confirmed and off she went. I enjoyed my potato purée while I waited. After some time she returned, without a steak. She advised me that they tested the temperature of the steak again and it was "exactly 180 degrees" (medium rare should be no more than 140, well should be 155) and asked if I wanted "something else" or she would remove it from the ticket. I was floored that they did not offer to cook a new steak to my liking. So I sat and watched my partner finish his food and we left. We won't return. My partner ordered the scallops which were "ok". Additionally, he ordered one Belvedere martini. It was $20... for ONE!!! This is his signature drink no matter where we go. We have never been charged more than $13. Run, don't walk, from this place. read more

The environment is great, but we were served some of the most under-prepared and disgusting food from any restaurant we've ever been to. We came for a nice brunch and even my kids wouldn't eat the food. The french toast looked cooked but was entirely soggy and raw. The hamburger was cold and the meat looked like an undercooked Salisbury steak. All of the food was undercooked and basically inedible. If it weren't for trying to keep our reservation for the Grapvine train, we would have insisted on not paying. Hopefully this was a one-off and not their typical practice. My fiancé and I went back to Bacchus for dinner and had a whole 180 experience from our first time. The complete dining experience was impeccable and had a phenomenal time. Our waiter, Hunter, was very attentive and the service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing 10/10 dinner. Hunter was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations. From the appetizer to the dessert, the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding; this has been the best meal I have been served in a while. Service was delightful and very professional- definitely fine dining (prices are a tad bit high on everything though). Phenomenal experience. Top notch food, atmosphere, and wait staff. Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I loved the ambiance and the food was astounding, and the manager is so friendly with the guests and takes care to offer the best quality! The manager and waiter took extensive measures to ensure perfection. Overall, bold flavors, unique taste combinations, and rich and decadent cuisine. I highly recommend this place. Worst service ever. And to add insult to injury, my friend left no tip as a result--and they proceeded to add 20% themselves! My friend only found this out when she looked at her credit card statement. Now she has to deal with getting this cleared up. Based on suggestion of Channel 5 I placed a reservation with this restaurant for Thanksgiving day. I thought it odd that while placing a restaurant reservation they wanted my credit card, but since it was a holiday I went along with it. The day before we attempted to cancel our reservation since I came down with bronchitis. No one would answer the phone, so my only recourse to make the cancellation was through Open Table. I was very displeased when I received my credit card ststement and saw I had been charged for meals not served or consumed. I called Hotel Vin and they refused to reverse the charge, so through my credit card I submitted a charge dispute which still ended up in me being charged. BUYER BEWARE - THIS PLACE IS RUNNING A SCAM. I don't know if their food is good or not, but NEVER will I grace their establishment and the reader should think twice before going here. read more

Made a reservation for brunch today. Upon arrival, saw several parties waiting and was told that there would be a delay as the restaurant only had 1 server working (yes..ONE server). Looking around, there were several large parties seated with NO FOOD. Our reservation that I made on Open Table was for 10:30am. We immediately knew it would be a long, slow, and likely miserable experience and left. Really disappointed as it looked like a very cool atmosphere, but more disappointed as this is a restaurant within Hotel Vin (Autograph Marriott managed property). No excuse for having only 1 server. There were several employees acting as hosts, but couldn't be put into a server function? This type of establishment that is part of a hotel should have no excuses for only having 1 available server. Poor planning and definitely poor management and contingency plans. On a very positive note, we went to our usual brunch place... Chef Point on 121..excellent food and excellent service. read more
