Bún Chả Hà Nội + Vietnamese iced coffee
jessica l.

I came for lunch on a Thursday and there were plenty of seats. I got the bun cha ha noi and it was okay. The pork belly was very good, but I wasn't a big fan of the meat patties. I liked the vermicelli and sauce though, I just wished there were pickled radish and carrots with the dish. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also good, I just wished it was a little less sweet. Service was fast and the restaurant is well decorated.

Was able to stop by for lunch last week in between client meetings. This is for 21+ even for lunch I believe just as a heads up for anyone with kids. Just saw a lot of 21+ signs up. Tried the mango oatmeal cookies for a sweet treat later that afternoon. Wasn't sure about the combination since so used to oatmeal raisin and the mango was a pleasant surprise. Food I ordered was delicious! And tried the lemongrass soda which was super refreshing! Service was wonderful. Will absolutely be back when I'm in the area again.

Used to be my favorite place one of the reasons being good quality meat. As of late it's gone downhill. I keep getting me that is spoiled and brown and just smells bad.

Oxtail Pho

Came here with a group of coworkers after landing in Seattle. It wasn't quite as busy as it usually gets during lunch, but still packed. I ordered the oxtail pho, which was pretty good as it had flavorful broth and tender meat, but I found myself wishing it had a bit more noodles or... something. It felt like one element was missing to make it great instead of just good. Overall, it's a solid, dependable spot. Nothing particularly memorable, but good enough that I ended up coming back later in the trip.

The vibes are very cool. I would eat and drink there, maybe that was my problem. I ordered Pho to go, it was not good at all. This restaurant is located in a beautiful area. The staff were super friendly Drinks look delicious, didn't have any but I almost stayed and drank by myself.

This is a modern and casual Vietnamese eatery in South Lake Union. Dropped in to grab a late dinner. Ordered the Lemongrass Rockfish but they were out. The friendly server recommended the vermicelli with spring rolls and Rockfish as a close substitute which I accepted. We also ordered the tamarind noodle soup from their green menu. The service was fast and friendly. The food was decent. The ambiance was modern and we sat on high stools like a bar

golden dragon slushy drink

I came for a quick solo happy hour and the matcha pandan slushy (the golden dragon) was good but I kinda felt rushed here to leave as someone who came by themself. Not a great experience considering it was 4:30PM on a Monday and only a quarter of the restaurant was occupied.

Good late lunch / early dinner at Ba Bar. We went based on the reviews for Ba Bar Green not realizing it was the takeout window but I'm surprised the main restaurant was rated lower. We went during happy hour so we took advantage of a couple of their specials: Golden Dragon Slushy (8/10), Nguyen Dynasty (8/10), Imperial Rolls as lettuce wraps (9/10), 10 Wings for $10 (9/10 - on the sweeter side). For meals we had Chorizo Banh Mi (1 or 2/10. Ended up exchanging for the Veggie version 6/10), Grilled Prawn Vermicelli with Rice (7/10), Lemongrass Rockfish (8/10), and a couple of the soups (7/10). For dessert we had the Chinese Donuts with condensed milk (7/10). The vibe of the restaurant is nice and if you can score a seat by the open window that's a plus. Overall good meal with some hits and some misses according to my companions.

High quality and tasty Vietnamese food, with a number of vegetarian options. It's a little on the pricey side--I'm used to Vietnamese being on the cheaper side--but the quality is high (and the food's really yummy!), and they have a pleasant ambiance. One reco: if arriving for lunch, get there before noon. They're really hopping with all those Amazonians after. And bring your phone! Menus are online. I ordered the Pho GA, or Chicken Pho. Really tasty, with tons of fresh ingredients. A colleague of mine ordered their vegetarian vermicelli, which looked really tasty and which she really enjoyed. I also had their fresh brewed ice tea, which was good.

I recently went out for a Vietnamese meal with friends, and the overall experience was fantastic. The setting is minimalist, industrial, and spacious, with soft lighting. The seating was comfortable and perfect for a casual gathering or a casual chat. The waiters were enthusiastic and attentive, patiently explaining the dishes, and the food was served quickly, making us feel truly cared for We ordered several dishes: Combo Vermicelli Noodles: The rice noodles were smooth and fluffy, with a rich topping, and each bite was layered with flavor Oxtail Pho: The oxtail was braised to perfection, and the broth was sweet and rich, warming and satisfying Mi Vit Tiem: The duck was tender and fragrant, and the broth had a medicinal depth that was particularly memorable Sai Gon Chicken Wings: The skin was crispy, and the sweet and sour sauce was appetizing. The more you ate, the more addictive it became Prawn, Cucumber & Pineapple Salad: Refreshing and light, with the shrimp, cucumber, and pineapple offering a sweet and sour flavor. It's a perfect accompaniment to hot dishes Overall, the environment is comfortable, the service is attentive, and the dishes are excellent. It is the kind of place you would want to come back to after eating. Oxtail Pho and Chicken Wings are especially recommended

Oxtail pho

Came across this resto from a friends recommendation! It's like a Vietnamese street food concept. I was excited to see they serve oxtail pho. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations from a couple of things: 1. They didn't really serve me oxtail but more like beef bone soup. There was thinly sliced beef to go with it but I was extremely disappointed that it was nice real oxtail. This was a serious blunder. I decided to just eat it coz I was a late lunch and I was getting hungry. 2. The broth was good but not exceptional. I was expecting more of the natural oxtail beef flavor but it was more flavored with seasoning. I also ordered the crispy imperial roll and this was the saving grace. It was bite sized, great crisp wrapper and the meat flavor was delightful. Came with the greens and dipping sauce. This is a must to try!!

The ambience is lovely and the restaurant is modern. Their menu has traditional Vietnamese dishes with some modern takes also. I ordered the oxtail pho, the meat was very good and tender. The broth was on the sweeter side for my taste though. I wish they used a bigger bowl to serve it in though. Became there was a lot of noodles and not enough broth. The service is just okay. Overall the food here is decent.

We ordered a tofu salad which was great! For entree, I tried Singaporean noodles which had a good portion size but the noodles would have been nicer with some more veggies. Overall, good service and ambience!

I also had El Boho (flavorful but not overly sweet). The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to recommending drinks. The prices are on the higher end, but personally I think they're totally worth it for the creativity and overall experience. For one, the bar service was mediocre for my $26 cocktail. I get more conversation from the bartenders at the Red Onion.... And because they bartender wasn't paying attention, he forgot to put our food order in....probably didn't need it anyway, I need to diet. And then we get the check and they automatically add 22%...if you are a quality establishment offering exceptional customer service, you don't need to tell me what to tip...guess you are not. And they they have the nerve to ask me if I want to tip another 18%, 20%, or 25% when I sign the check on their Toast device... I'll go out for a quality cocktail experience at Needle & Thread, The Doctor's Office, or maybe the Red Onion, lol. But I won't be coming back here ever again.

Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year. I can't recommend it enough and it'll be at the top of my list of places to hit the next time I'm in town.
