I've been going to B Salon for about two years now. B (the owner) cuts my hair and does my dual process highlights (highlights and low lights). Here's my overall run-down of the experience . . . Pros: - B is very meticulous and does a great job. You can tell she really cares about the quality of her work. Check out my profile photo and you can see her work! - The prices are VERY reasonable. I never get charged more than 110 for the cut and dual-process highlights. You ladies with colored hair know that is a steal. - You don't really need to book your appointments far in advance as they always have good availability. I never make my appointment more than two weeks in advance and have never had trouble getting in. They even take walk ins if you are so inclined. - All of the staff are very friendly. Now the Cons: - Usually they keep you waiting a bit to start your appointment. The sense of timing is pretty flexible around here. You can't be in a big hurry. - IF you are looking for a plush/fancy salon experience, this isn't the place for you. Facility is seriously nothing fancy. read more

This salon was recommended by an acquaintance so I took the time to visit the salon and make an appointment for a keratin treatment nearly three weeks in advance. The night before the appointment, they called to tell me they couldn't accommodate me the next day (Saturday morning) because they were afraid the fumes would be too much for the other clients. Okay, that may be a valid concern but why wasn't this brought up when I made the appointment in person? Also, why did they wait until the night before? My search for a boutique salon with affordable and genuine services ended with B Salon and Spa. Located at the corner of Belt Line and MacArthur between Panacean and Aqua tots. Gem of a place!!! Went there on a recommendation from a good friend of mine. On entering the salon I was greeted by Be. She seems to be owner of the salon. Very welcoming and warm person. I went there on a Sunday at 4:00pm. Then comes Xi. She took care of my hair. I was impressed with her work. Quick but very engaging. The hair cut comes with a head/neck massage. Men's hair cut is $25. I have been to Boardroom salon in Las Collinas. This place may not be as upscale as Boardroom but Be/Xi get the job done which is at par with Boardroom services. So all the men looking to upgrade from Procuts, Supercuts and its likes but feel nervous to try places like Boardroom etc this is the place to be. I think I may have found my perfect place for my hair. For weekends, you may want to take an appointment. You may get lucky with a walk in but there may be a sufficient wait time on a weekend with no appointment. read more

Went in for a haircut. Due to the high amount of customers that were in during that time, the owner called in a hairstylist-indian/pakistani. Asked for a lob by the hairstylist-lady said she was able to do it as i had provided her some photos. I would intermittenly let her know that i wanted the angle to be more pronounced. She kept trying to accomodate but the best she could do was style as an v shape cut. She became so infuriated that she took a pair of scissors and cut into my hair and made it completely uneven. The other stylists who work here like Julie do a great job and the work/prifessionalism shows. However, this lady is disrespectful and only knows basic layering/coloring. Anything beyond this is outside her scope and you are better seeing the other salonists. read more

I love B salon. I have been going here since I was little. They treat you more like a friend, than a customer, and show much interest in you. They do an amazing job on Hair, eyebrows, Highlights, Blowouts, you name it!! They also have an eye for hair, and what would look best, I always ask for their advice. If you want an appointment with B, you better schedule a month in advance. But every hair stylist there does an amazing job. I cant trust any other place to do my hair. read more

LOVE Be. Haven't found anyone as good as her since I moved here almost four years ago. I have very fine shoulder length hair that rarely grows. I get it layered and have hi and low lights put in it. Not only does she do a better job than anyone else I've ever gone to in half the time (everyone else wants to carve out 2 1/2 to 3 hours to do it), but she also won't do a bunch of coloring if she sees its not necessary or at all, and won't charge you for unnecessary work. She also does a wonderful job styling my hair, too. Most stylists want to charge $200-250 for what she does for me - which is ridiculous. Be is AMAZING. read more

I've been going to B Salon for quite a few years now and I always request for Julie to cut my hair. She is honestly the only person I trust with my hair and from my experiences, she really knows what she's doing when it comes to men's hair. I always call for an appointment rather than just walking-in and She always finishes in a timely manner. I always tell her exactly how I want my hair to be and what I want different and she will always make sure I am getting what I want. When I propose for something different, she will also let me know what she things would be most appropriate and fitting for me, which I appreciate. I will be going off to college soon and because I like to keep my hair at a certain length, I have to get it cut almost every three weeks and I fully intend on driving across Dallas to continue seeing Julie. For the price of my cut and for the quality I am getting, no one else can beat her. read more

OK so I found a new place to get my hair done. I tried this place after reading other reviews. Been looking for a nearby place that was reasonably priced that would give me a nice look. So I called for an appointment. Xi (C), told me to come on in. I did and am so glad. I told her to take off an inch. I had long layers & she trimmed those too. I asked her if she thought they should be shorter. She said yes, so I told her to use her judgment. I'm so glad because it looks so much cuter. read more
