I brought a picture of the long bob style I wanted and she was able to follow exactly what I wanted, even providing suggestions for my specific hair type. I know she was meticulous, taking approx an hour to make sure everything looked perfect. I was even impressed with the blowout at the end, I never felt the heat of the blow dryer against my scalp. I have a title that will look good in my obituary and that's about it. What I do know is true masters work at their craft. They get better at it everyday. Within a minute, she greets me and takes me to her station located in the back. It was a semi-private station away from the other chairs. I felt like a MVP. I digress. That's a different men's hair-salon service. She started me off with a Heavyweight haircut which left me punch-drunk happy. Next, since I'm a man of a certain age, I wanted to mix it up and for the first time I get my hair colored. Martha was gentle for my first time. She took her time and put me at ease respecting both my concerns and nervousness. Total pro. I mean, DAMN, I look good. Lastly, Martha performed a deluxe pedicure which 12 days later still feels and looks great. My little lady appreciated that when I returned back from vacation and it was time for the shaking of the sheets. On a side note, I also must say the other stylists (women) in the salon that walked by us occasionally looked at me as if I was the sexist man on the planet.
