She treated my daughter and I with utmost respect. Because of her I was able to get educated on how to care for my hair better (I've been struggling with hair loss). She does such a great job giving consistent and classy short haircuts, every single time. She listens to what you're looking for and then delivers. Service: Tram wasn't overly friendly on the phone. When I got there, she was running 20 minutes late. While doing my hair she would attempt conversation with friendly questions but then answered them herself, it was very awkward. Hair: if you want an up-do like one shown in the photos, she can do it quickly and flawlessly. But that's where her skills end. When I asked her to try other styles she looked annoyed and kind of played with my hair before giving up. But then still charged $50 for the failed attempt, plus $50 for the up-do that SHE wanted to try. Cost: It's not a good sign when someone can't give you consistent answers up front about the price of their services. If you get her to do your hair, make sure you get a clear price estimate before hand. Sketchiness: I was really blown away by all the good reviews. But then I noticed that a lot of them are from people in California (where she's from). I don't write yelp reviews... I just use yelp to find places I want to try. And I was tired of the cheap $12 haircuts where my stylist works on my hair like she's a worker at an assembly line. So I found Let's Go Hair on Yelp and was attracted by their reviews and I decided to give them a try.. My time with Tram was so wonderful, I had to leave a review. Tram is by far the most detailed and friendly stylist I've ever had. She spent so much time on cutting my hair, making sure the layers were a good length. I felt like I was really pampered. She mentioned that my hair used to have highlights, and I asked how much of the highlights are left after the cut; she chuckled and said they're pretty much gone. But I guess she realized that I was growing them out. So when she was measuring my layers, she saw some highlights left at the tips of my hair and asked if I wanted to trim them off. I was pretty happy at her attention to details. Now my hair has no leftover highlights! The salon is pretty busy though. I got off work early on a Friday and thought I'd drop in to try out the place because I thought it would it wouldn't be busy since people are at work... boy was I wrong. But Tram was able to fit me in after about a 20 min wait. Wash, treatment, haircut and style took about a hour long. She said this place is busier on the weekends. I heard another stylist on the phone with a customer say that they're double booked. So it's highly recommended to make an appointment... unless you have a lot of time to kill. I really hate to write a bad review, but I was really disappointed with my experience. Tram was running late when I arrived and made little effort to even recognize I was sitting in the salon. She never apologized or addressed being late. I understand these things happen in a salon, but at the very least, recognize you are late and be nice enough to give at least a half-assed apology. When I sat down for the haircut, Tram was not particularly friendly and appeared totally disinterested in the entire process. I told her I wanted to cut my hair much shorter and her response was "Why would you do that?" I walked away with a really cute haircut that I have gotten a TON of compliments on, but I don't particularly credit Tram with it, as she seemed totally disinterested and had to be coached through the entire process. I have been going to Tram for about 4 (maybe almost 5) years now! I believe it was around 2011 or 2012 for my first haircut with Tram. Early on, she relocated and I HAD to follow her and become a regular at her Dallas location down Greenville. It is worth it for me to have someone genuinely listen to all your concerns. She ALWAYS does what I'm looking for, and never rushes. I've even risked driving in bad weather (ice, sleet, hail) to see her. She carefully learns the personality of her clients and what they are comfortable/not comfortable with. She knows my hair type, texture, and what I always aim for, I just verbally tell her. I have ALWAYS trusted her with my hair.. I have always had long hair that was about lower back length. She always helped me maintain my length as promised, never took off more than I am comfortable with. I know many have problems with hairstylists taking off too much length and I never have that problem with Tram In 2014, she was the only person in the world I let cut off roughly ~15 inches of my long hair. Why? I just had massive life saving surgery and would be losing all my hair from chemo soon. She was more than just my hairstylist now, but a good, kind friend. As soon as my hair started to grow back, I kept bugging her. "I'll see you soon! My hair is just still too short!" I made a mistake of "cheating" on her since how could anyone possibly cut off too much of my hair when it was LESS than an inch long? (Especially if I tell them it's growing back out from being bald!) But guess what! IT HAPPENED. :( Another hairstylist gave me a nice pixie cut for my post chemo hair, but it was NOT what I asked for. So, I VOWED NEVER EVER to "cheat" again! Tears and heartache aside, I just kept bugging her, and letting my hair grow into a medium neck length. I FINALLY was able to see her at her new location in Carrollton. She knew how nervous and anxious I was when I haven't had a haircut in so long. I was so protective of my hair post chemo and short pixie. Tram just made me feel so much better after shaping/cleaning up my overgrown pixie into a growing out style. I even referred my sweet mom (who traveled from California to visit) to Tram. My mom has very challenging hair to work with-- thin, brittle, fine, grays, new growth/roots, home dyes. She worked her magic and my mom might have to just fly over here to get her hair done from now on. :) Tram is very kind, caring, and easy to talk to. Picking out a hair stylist is HARD! It gets easier when you find one you like after many trials and errors. Although, finding a hair stylist is difficult when it's for your own wedding. You need to think about more than yourself. Your girls. Price points for them and what the stylist can do. Tram is very personable and has a bubbly personality!! She likes to have a conversation with you and genuinely cares about you. Tram wants to make you beautiful and she successfully does that! I had her lighten my hair for the spring by doing some highlights and she did fantastic! Upon arrival on the day of my wedding Tram had a line up of what she was going to do and she did each of the girls hair in 40 mins or less. She did hair and makeup for me and the makeup was flawless!
