I requested a wash, blow dry, and straightening. The experience was absolutely amazing and so affordable ($35 without tip) compared to what I get at other salons. The salon was so clean and the staff were so sweet and friendly. They're happy to converse with you and help you have a nice experience. Overall, I loved the outcome.

Wow! The customer service here was the best I've ever received! I found out about this place through a TikTok and decided to give it a try for a Japanese Straightening Perm. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the lovely & welcoming owner and a cute dog roaming around. There was also Christmas music playing and coffee/tea. My hair was washed and then I had quick consultation where I was given honest suggestions. Since my hair was bleached within a year, they suggested that I go about with the permanent straightening only for the top of my head which was primarily virgin/healthy hair. Then, they would do a Keratin treatment for the bottom half. I was quoted a discount since it was my first time, so the whole treatment was $350 + tip which is about what I expected. The entire process took 3 hours. I was given snacks and water, and Richard was so personable. He didn't speak much English but we even communicated through an app on his phone! The photo is after my first wash and brushing through. Though it's not completely straight, the frizz is all gone! I'm hoping it stays like this, and I'm excited to get the full straightening perm next time. I will definitely be returning here and letting my friends know about this place. Thank you Richard, Suri, and Florinda (apologies if I misspelled your name)! read more

1 Star: Worst Haircut Ever! I went to Dass Salon hoping for a nice, stylish LOB. I showed the stylist 3 reference pictures and clearly explained I wanted it shorter in the back and longer in the front. She assured me it was no problem. When I left, my hair was curled, so I couldn't see how uneven the back was right away. But after washing it the next day and trying to style it, I immediately noticed how awful it looked. I literally cried when I saw the disaster--chunks of long strands were left in the back, the right side was way shorter than the left, and the front was shorter than the back! This was not at all what I asked for. I had to go to another salon to fix it, and even they had to cut another inch and a half off to make it even. All I wanted was a simple LOB, and now I'm left with a butchered haircut. I can't believe I spent $55 plus tip at this place. The stylist didn't even introduce themselves, so I couldn't even give them feedback directly. NEVER going back here again! So glad my original salon was able to salvage it, but it was still such a hassle and disappointment. Avoid Dass Salon at all costs! read more

Inside is very clean and there is a small waiting area. Walk ins are welcome but we called about four days prior to our appointment to make one. We asked for daisy due to a friend's recommendation. Daisy cuts really well for both men and women. My husband and I liked our haircut. Next time I will go in for a magic perm and see her skills in there and maybe adding some color. I live out of town so every time we come into Dallas, I will be coming here to do my hair. Also there's a nail salon in here as well! read more

I called a week before and I booked 6PM as they closed 8PM they need some time to finish the service I requested (PERM). Our travel time became longer due to rain and accumulated traffic I give them a call and they allowed me to go in at 6:30PM and I was so happy cos I thought they will not cater it anymore. They even have treats for you while you are waiting. I am glad on the result and my stylist was really nice and have a good rapport with the customer. I would probably go back here when I want my hair done. Thank you! read more

5 stars all around for customer service, quality cuts and price! I have been dying my hair for nearly 5 years now, including getting balayages done which can go up to $300+. So, I'm not a newb to hair and know when someone who cares is doing your hair. Being a night shift nurse, I'm very bad at scheduling appointments. I stumbled upon this via Yelp, seeing many positive reviews and appreciating their pics of balayages. I called on Sunday night asking for their earliest appointment, and surprisingly they had an availability the next day after 5! 5 stars for that. Dass Hair Salon and Nails is located right next to Tom N Tom's coffee and MangoMango Dessert in Carrollton. Lots of free parking and another perk, you can get boba after your appointment ;) Because I already have a balayage done, I asked for an ashier toner. For shampooing, toning, drying, and styling, Adam transformed my hair beautifully in under an hour. Did I mention it was also only $140?! I asked to trim my layers; Adam paid attention to detail my face shape and my natural hair (I have thick wavy hair). My experience with other stylists is that they don't take this into account and leave my layers too close in length, and I end up with poofy natural hair (not the vibes). They also offer hot tea or coffee and snacks. Additionally, they give you a stamp card for discounts!I'm definitely coming back!! read more

I haven't gotten my hair cut at a salon for three years and had a wonderful experience here. I wanted a short shoulder length cut with some layers, brought in some pictures, and Daisy totally nailed it - thank you! All in all the cut, wash, drying and additional styling took just under 40 minutes. The value quality of service is top notch. Suri, the owner is also super welcoming and kind, and very responsive over text with any questions you might have. I will definitely continue coming here as long as I'm in the DFW area! read more

Wanted to try a new salon and was recommended by my coworkers... I'm glad I gave this place a try. My hair was dry from the last time that I've had it dyed and I also wanted to thin it out. Adam did a great job of consulting me of how he's going to cut my hair to match my face and the hair treatment left my hair feeling super soft. I absolutely love it and had so many compliments. Also, during my session, another staff came over and gave me a small neck massage which I thought was so nice of her. The staffs were friendly and worked well together. They even offer you complimentary drinks. Love that each station also has a TV for you to watch while you get your hair done. I will definitely come back and do recommend! read more

My curly, unruly mane can hardly be considered low maintenance, so I called in to see if they can magic perm my way to wash and go hair. They can they can fit me in today and provided a quote based on my description of my hair texture and length. I went in and they gave me a different price. We figured it out. She proceeded to go through the steps of putting in the product, washing it out, straightening it out, repeat, repeat, repeat...mind numbingly a gazillion times (exaggerated, of course). Throughout the process, they checked in on me to make sure I wasn't starved or thirsty. They've also forgotten or took awhile to check in on me. Several hours later, my hair was straight and much shorter than I requested (language barrier, I'm crediting this to). Several months later, my hair is still straight mostly except for the growth. read more

My boyfriend and I both got perms here and they turned out amazing. I'm Korean American so I've been getting perms pretty much my whole life, but this is my boyfriends first perm. We both had a great experience at Dass! I had to convince my boyfriend to get the perm since he had never gotten one, but now that he got it he's absolutely in love with it. It looks amazing and it is very convenient for him, he's amazed by how the curls just go into place after his hair is wet. He's saying he'll need to get perms for the rest of his life now lol and he's convinced all of his friends to get perms too. The lady who did it, Daisy, was very good and also gave him a great hair cut which is included in the cost of the perm. On my part, I've gotten tons of perms, but this one is my favorite. Adam really listened to what I wanted and gave me a root perm with a digital perm for the ends. I could tell by the way Adam was doing the perm that he has a ton of experience, he was very very good at parting the hair and putting in the rollers in a very clean efficient way. My hair looks really nice and I love the root perm, it gave me exactly the volume that I was looking for. I really recommend this place, especially if you have never gotten a perm before but you've been wanting to try it out! I was worried my boyfriend's hair would react to the perm differently since he is not Korean, but it turned out great and you do not need to speak Korean to be able communicate with the stylists, just show them a photo of what you'd like. They also gave us candy and tea while our perm was setting which was really nice :) 10/10! read more

Everything you could ask for and ever need from a hair salon. Dass Hair makes it hard to try to find any other place to get your hair done in the Dallas area. The service here was fantastic. Staff was super friendly and accommodating and they made scheduling and re-scheduling hassle free. My family members and I have yet to have a bad experience here was were satisfied with the results. Great salon with friendly staff and reasonable prices. I paid $40 for a women's cut + styling. I asked for curtain bangs, face-framing pieces, layers, and thinning. I showed my hairdresser some reference photos and mainly left it up to him to determine what he thought would look best for my face shape. This was my first time getting a dry cut, and while I'm mostly satisfied with how my hair turned out, it's much poofier than I had hoped. I feel like most of the look relies on styling with heat products so we'll have to see what it looks like after I shower. But overall, the service, prices, and attention to detail will keep me coming back. read more

I absolutely love this salon! I just recently discovered this gem this year and will not be going back to TONI&GUY or Instinktive hair salon. I would definitely recommend getting Joy! She really cares about the health of your hair and would recommend getting certain styles/hair color that would look best for you. The first time I came in to the salon was June 2019. I wanted to see if I can get just a trim since I had so many split ends. Joy insisted on getting the keratin treatment instead due to how bad my hair was breaking! O M G, did it make my hair look so much healthier and little to no breakage ever since! She also gave me some side bangs to shape my face, which made a big difference to my boring look. The second time I stopped by was 2 days ago to get my roots redone. Joy said that there won't be a good transition since my natural roots were dark brown and my highlights were so blonde. So I told her that I would like a "fresh" look and trusted her. She gave the idea of adding pink to my hair.... turned out better than I thought! read more

Not sure what her name was but I think she's the owner. Round black glasses black short hair bright pink lipstick speaks a little english and most importantly.. can't cut hair. Came with my boyfriend and this was his 3-4th time. However this was the first time he got his haircut from this lady. She brings a tablet to show some google images of celebrities saying which one he wanted. He kept telling her "I just want it short".. IN KOREAN not even english she starts by shampooing his hair then trims with scissors then goes in with buzzing and towards the end, shampoos again I sat next to him the WHOLE time and here were the results - Super uneven - it looked nothing like the image - his back neck hair line was raised 2 inches - and this all cost $25 she had the audacity to tell me I "need" a trim when we were leaving. I watched the other employees do the other customers hair and two of them were straightening a lady's hair and they were frying it like crazy. ***Definitely do NOT recommend. I would give 4.5star here if I could. I've been here twice since I moved in Dallas. This place was far from my house but I would like to go this place for my hair in dallas. This is good place to go for your hair. They know how to take care of your hair and make your hair look much better. I tried dyed my hair with hair cut each time. My hair was really damaged hair which I've been dyed my hair a lot with bleach. I had to cut after dyed hair and they're nice job with my hair. My hair was hard to deposit color when I dyed hair but they exactly know how to make my hair look better. They're not over charge or never allowed if they think it's worse to your hair even if you want something to do on your hair. They're very friendly and honest with your hair. Also there's nails bar and you can get your nails while change your hair. It would be nice to you can do both there. read more

Came here a while back and did not like my haircut. I ended up going to a different place to fix it. Yet, I decided to give this place another try because my sister likes to come here and told me to make an appointment with a male stylist. I asked for a male hair stylist over the phone but I ended up with the same girl that did my hair last time. I didn't want to be rude and just gave her another chance. I showed her a picture but she must have not seen properly. I wanted just layers in the front but she gave me layers front and back and I have this shaggy haircut that I really don't like. I will not be coming here again. It took me a while to grow out what she messed up last time so I'm even more upset now that I have to regrow my hair again. read more

DO NOT go to Daisy, she is very inexperienced. I showed her a picture TWICE of what I wanted (honey blonde balayage) and she kept nodding her head like she understood. After the wash, my hair was DARK, practically black. She had to remove the toner from my hair and these are my results. I have harsh lines everywhere, there is no blend whatsoever. Don't be deceived by Daisy's instagram pics like I was, it's obvious she did not do those clients hair. WAY OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY OF WORK I RECEIVED. The haircut turned out OK. The only issue I had was I felt my hair being pulled on when they were using scissors to cut the top.

I been coming to this place for the passed 2 years and I'm in love with their customer service and more importantly the results of my hair are always incredible. Louis is the person I always ask for no matter what, every time I ask for something in specific he advices me what's correct for my type of hair. Most of the hair salons wants to meet your expectations and at the end you end up with the color you wanted but is all burned and damaged.. For example: I wanted a very light red, to almost looking orange lol but now I realize, I could of made a huge mistake to my hair that I would regret because its a crazy color to remove! But Louis did meet my expectations because it's a little of the color I wanted and is something that fits my look more. Thanks to him my hair its healthier and looks lovely. read more
