My hair has never looked better or healthier. I had a Master level stylist who showed me how to style and care for my hair properly. For years I thought I had straight hair. Then with the help of my stylist, she recommended some amazing products that they sell in-house. The customer service was phenomenal too... immediately upon walking in, I was greeted and offered something to drink. It's a wonderful little shop that has a boutique-type atmosphere. I would highly recommend getting a Master stylist for anyone who struggles with their hair and doesn't know how to fix it or what to do about it. read more

I've been waiting for WEEKS for my Saturday appointment with a master stylist. I work full time, go to school, and I'm the primary caretaker for my 84 year old mother. Saturdays are the only opportunity I have to get personal things done. And of course their Saturdays are booked weeks in advance. They reached out to me four days before my appointment and tell me the stylist is not going to be at the salon on Saturday and they cannot accommodate my appointment. If it was some kind of emergency I would 100% understand but clearly it wasn't because they said the stylist was opening her Thursday schedule and they could move me to Thursday instead. Really disappointed and I feel like it was beyond unprofessional. read more

Loved my experience here! Front desk was friendly and booked me in as a walk-in, which was dope! My stylist Carissa (I think) was friendly and knowledgeable about how to cut/care for curly hair and made me feel right at home! It was so relaxing to be here and was a super time-efficient experience. The vibes here were chill but busy, and everything is perfectly spaced out too (so you're not right on top of your neighbor). Additionally, very reasonably priced! Will be back when I'm in town! read more

Love how polite and respectful everyone is, they are very welcoming, so excited for my next appointment!

From walking in to walking out, this was the best salon experience I've ever had. Joe was amazing: I came armed with pictures, and wanted a professional opinion on which he thought would work best. He picked a hairstyle and explained why. He also explained why he was doing what he was doing through the whole process. He was patient and kind and personable and was willing to discuss the optimal styling tools for my hair and my cut. I chose a "Master" stylist for this first cut, thinking that once I finally got a good cut/style, I'd then use a stylist down the ladder from Master to maintain my cut, but I'd rather pay extra to sit in Joe's chair again! The entire staff was amazing and helpful, from the time I made my appointment to checking out. I never felt rushed, and the salon, itself, smelled heavenly. read more

The first time I went to Tangerine was when my usual stylist was out of town and I desperately needed a haircut and my color corrected (my balayage was growing out and I wanted to go back to my natural hair color)! I saw Danielle who was super friendly and understanding of my particular needs. I felt so comfortable around her and she even brought me some tea. I ended up recommending Tangerine to my sister who got her haircut there as well and she loved how easy and simple the whole process was. The second time I went back, I saw Kaycee and she was a delight! She also made me feel so relaxed and she is the reason I will probably keep my hair styled short for a long time. I came back to see her again for a shampoo blow out and styling because her techniques are so elegant and skilled. read more

Very thankful for Kryssa C! I went into Tangerine Salon after the hair stylist I've seen for almost 20 years (I'm very picky!) went on maternity leave. I also came in with hair that I had cut myself and totally botched the day prior (I don't know what I was thinking)! Kryssa C. was AMAZING. She was kind and reassuring about what I had done to my hair, and she worked with what I had to help me love my hair and feel confident again. Her expertise and mature disposition even at the protege level could convince me that she has been doing this for decades. I could not recommend her more! read more

It has been a few months since I tried this place. I was so excited to try it since it is in my favorite little town and the atmosphere is so cute!!! But I left very disappointed unfortunately. I did book with a Studio level person. Her professionalism was amazing! She was very sweet. However she cut my hair very very uneven. I brought it up during the appointment so she trimmed more off which looked better at the time but then I got home and noticed it was still uneven. Also, I have very long hair and I asked for layers framing my face when she cut my framing pieces way too short. It was very obvious. I need a new stylist in Texas and this was my first try. A month later I went back to my stylist in Washington because it was so bad and she said the same thing and fixed me up! As I'm looking for stylists again thought I would leave a review on this place. I recommend going for the master level if you can afford it or go if you have a recommendation. Otherwise the price was not worth the cut in my opinion. read more

Will has helped me grow out my thick locks and kept it so healthy. This is hands down, my favorite salon in Coppell. I have never had a cut that kept it's shape for so long. I ought to know, because I go WAYYYYY too long between cuts. Will is always very professional and he works quickly but does not make you feel rushed. The folks at the counter are always helpful and friendly. They have a very nice seleciton of Aveda products as well. The atmosphere here is so cool and I just love the location. read more
