And the price is $25 cheaper than Spa Castle. I still enjoyed myself. Two tips: 1) Save $8 by going to Super Komart just down the street & buying a pass for just $42 if you pay in cash. 2) Bring socks! The floors of several of the sauna rooms are very hot. Shoes are not allowed but socks are. You should also bring your own towel for the water park. The complimentary ones are hand towels.

I would bring a change of clothes to wear under your robe. That way if you decide to go to the pool first, you can change out of your swimsuit to do saunas later. (Although plenty of folks just wear their swimsuit to the sauna!) Some folks say to bring a towel, but know they do provide full size towels & you can get fresh ones as needed in the locker room. I realized I was being included in her recording and asked her to please stop because I did NOT consent to being filmed. Instead of simply respecting my request, she told me that I had an "attitude problem." She then went to the concierge and apparently received permission from a staff member to continue recording. She actually came BACK to where I was, started recording me again, told me, "I can keep recording," and called me "Karen." At that point, this no longer felt like someone casually taking a video at a spa. I felt deliberately targeted and humiliated. She also made a point of telling me that she gets "millions of views." I honestly don't care whether someone has 10 views or 10 million. Being popular on social media does not make another paying guest's discomfort irrelevant. What makes this experience especially disappointing is Spa Castle's response. I spoke with management and was told they could not make her delete the video. I understand that management may have limitations regarding someone's personal phone, but I cannot understand why a guest who had already been told directly that I did not want to be recorded was apparently allowed to return and continue filming and confronting me. I paid to come to a SPA--to relax and feel comfortable. Instead, I felt exposed, embarrassed, and completely unsupported. I was so overwhelmed by the entire interaction that I cried there, and then sat in my car afterward crying again. I can't remember the last time a business experience made me feel this humiliated. Spa Castle seriously needs a clear filming policy. There is a huge difference between taking a photo or video of yourself and deliberately continuing to record another guest after that person has specifically asked you to stop. People come to a spa expecting some level of comfort and relaxation. Nobody should have to wonder whether they're going to become unwilling content for somebody else's social media account. I'm incredibly disappointed with how this was handled.

Kent has been cutting my hair for about ten years. He's very meticulous and always spends time fine tuning as he cuts to make sure I get the perfect haircut. One year I had shoulder surgery and I was worried my hair would look a mess after washing it since I would not be able to blow dry and style my hair with only one arm. Kent cut my hair in such a way (a bob cut) that even after haphazardly blow drying it, my hair just fell nicely into place with only a few brush strokes. I didn't need to style it at all! That's a sign of a real professional cut! I've referred others to him as well and all were happy with his professionalism. If you want a great haircut, go see Kent. I see Brenda to get my nails done and I saw Donna for my hair color. I get OPI Axxium gel polish on my nails and I love it. Brenda does a wonderful job and my manicure is now going on three weeks ( only because I overslept and missed my appointment) and it still looks good. Donna did an excellent job on my color. I would recommend her as she listens to her client and even agreed to a color test on a part of my hair to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Angelica is the absolute best. I had accidentally used brown hair dye instead of blonde hair toner (not my best moment) and was hopeless about my hair being fixed. My parents referred me to Angelica because of how kind and skillful she was, and she took me in with open arms and completely transformed my hair. I asked why he said that and he replied because she has maintained your color and given you an excellent cut! She is a master with color, color correction and she knows her technique. If you haven't gone to her, you must! She is the best in my mind and I will never let anyone else cut my hair!
