I accidentally signed in online at this location thinking it was the location in Farmer's Branch on MacArthur Blvd. When we arrived at the MacArthur location, we decided to head here since there was a wait. Angie did a wonderful job with my hair along with my 9 year old son's hair. She was thorough and took her time. We even got a $5 coupon for our next visit. The location is right next to J. Macklin's. My son needed a haircut very badly so while visiting my mother in Coppell. I decided to check in for an appointment and the wait was 80 mins. I wasn't in a rush so not a big deal. Surely enough I got a text when it was time to head to the Salon. We got there and got seated right away. To my surprise there was only one stylist there working. No wonder the wait was so long. Today, I visited this salon with my son for haircuts. My son went first, and when it was my turn, I noticed the chair was full of hair, including on the armrests. I asked why it wasn't cleaned, and the stylist replied that since we were family, she didn't need to clean it. This was extremely unprofessional and unhygienic. I was so disappointed that I decided not to proceed with my haircut and left. Hygiene should never be compromised, regardless of who the customer is. I have been going here for a little over 4 years now. By now, most of them know me pretty well. They are all very friendly, and in general cut my hair pretty well. The thing I love the most about this place, besides the people who work here, is the fact that they have an online reservation system. That way, I don't really have to go there and wait for too long. Probably won't ever come back to this location. Kind of a long wait, and whenever people come in, instead of saying something like "I'll be with you shortly", they take time from cutting your hair to walk over to the computer. About 5 people walked in while I was there, and my haircut lady decides to walk over to the computer. Just didn't seem like the right thing to do. Maybe use a sign in sheet or something? Other complaint was they didn't allow me to use my online coupon. So a little disappointed there for paying $19 for a marginal experience. I could have used my coupon at Sport Clips! Most of the people that come here are regulars, and most have preferred stylists. I am one of those that found a favorite stylist. The staff turnover is extremely low, so a great feeling of "family" exists when visiting. Everyone is extremely friendly. Another deal that can't be beat for regulars -- you can buy a $50 gift card and get haircuts for $10, a savings of $20 ($4 off per haircut). It's like getting 1.5 free haircuts! The online checkin is also a bonus. Yup, there's even an app for it! I can see what the wait time is and check in before I leave work, often arriving in time to walk right into a chair. read more

Quality of the cut depends upon the stylist, but is generally okay (not great, but not terrible) for the price. The last time my son and I tried to get a haircut there we went in about 30 minutes before closing. The chairs were all full, but no one was waiting. We were told it was too close to closing for them to take us. I pointed out that there was no one waiting, they didn't close for 30 minutes, and our haircuts typically take about 15 minutes, max. No luck. I guess closing early for the day is more important than taking care of regular customers. We won't be back, ever. read more

Today was my second time to have my hair cut here. The first time I had Juan. He was great patient and very knowledgeable. The second time I came I had Kwi. She was a lot of fun very talkative and easy to get along with. I am fairly simple when I get my haircut take an inch off six players leave as much on my head as possible. Both times have come here they have honored my wishes and I have left happy! Enough to the point where I purposely came on to you out to leave a great review for them. I'm not sure who the woman at the counter was who answer my phone call but she was very sweet and nice and talk to us as she was also cutting another man's hair. It was like a big party lots of fun. I left being charged only $14 for haircut so I left a pretty decent tip. I definitely will return and recommend this place to others. read more

I was trying to explain to the hairstylist what I wanted, and she seemed very disinterested (or didn't understand me). I explained that I wanted a long version of an inverted bob, and she basically just looked at me. I asked her if she knew what an inverted bob was, and she didn't say a word. Staci White did my haircut. She completely screwed up my hair. She made it completely uneven when all I asked for was a straight hair cut. I found her to be unfriendly towards my mother and rude towards me. Staci did my haircut and my mother's haircut. My mom's hair looked like a chainsaw to her head. It was horrific. My mother and I went back to get her hair cut she got from Staci White redone by the amazing Erika. Both Erika and Shahin are fabulous and will be the only ones doing our hair from now on. Not accepting gift card bought from another location Bought gift card (5 hair cuts for $55) from Lewisville TX and used for 1 hair cut. Tried to use at Coppell TX location - was told the card is not valid, so paid by Credit card. Called Customer service and was told the card is valid at Coppell, TX but had to pay full price Called the salon again to check and was told that the card is valid, but still $15. Tried to use an expired Groupon here for the cash value (not promotional value) but was refused. Per the written terms of the Groupon, it specifically says that the "amount paid will never expire and may be applied toward the original goods or services." In other words, the voucher is as good as cash and must be accepted. The Great Clips employee still refused, even after being presented with this information. I have been to this salon many times, however, this time I got a bad haircut. I only went in for a bang trim and then decided for just a little all around trim of one inch and to even my layers in the back. Kwi cut my hair and I specifically told her this. She had the chair turned around the entire time so that I couldn't look into the mirror and she how she was cutting it. She ended up hacking my hair so short that I really don't like it. I have really short layers in the back and she took off several inches. Tell them exactly how you want it cut or you will end up dissatisfied like myself.
