So I go to the trophy club location and all I can say is Tori Tori Tori!! I finally found my hair genius from extensions to color to cut. She is absolutely the most amazing hairstylist I've ever had. We took my extensions out today and gave me a nice little haircut for my professional career that I'm starting and I feel amazing and look amazing. I picked this salon based on the good reviews , but boy was I wrong . When I went to consultation and told stylist Christopher what I wanted done he told me " not to tell him how to do his job " that was first red flag but I still wanted to give them a chance . On my very first appointment when I told Christopher I was disappointed in my hair , he started to yell at me in front of other clients. I was so embarrassed and I can't believe this is how stylist behave towards the client .I never experienced such thing in my life ! Four weeks later I had my second appointment, Christopher left me with almost 2 inches gray roots all over ,I specifically told him I don't want any roots visible . When he was done he said I need to come back in one week so he can fix it because he didn't like how it looks , did he ever imagine how I felt ? I came back one week later when I told him I was upset he told me to be quiet and not to talk to at all ! I can't believe they let this TRASH of a person to work there and disrespect clients in that manner ! Not only that he fried my hair , disrespect me and took my money he literally kicked me out of that chair not even offering to cut my fried hair . On my way home I had to stop at other salon so I can get my hair cut .New clients please beware of this person , he will take your money , give you attitude and disrespect you if GOD forbid you don't like shitty job he did ! Multiple times I tried to talk to the owner so they can make this right , manager Christie told me to look for the stylist ELSEWHERE because they don't want nothing to do with me ! My son brought pictures of what he wanted , clearly stated also to keep it longer. What he walked out with is horrible., nothing even close to the picture. Giving two stars for salon environment itself and the people were nice enough, but as far as the haircut, it's pretty rough. I asked for a slightly inverted bob and for the back to be thinned out where it's thickest. It was hard to tell what she had done while I was still in the chair because of how she styled it (messy curls/waves) but what I ended up with was longer in the back, still too much bulk, and a very haphazard approach with texturizing shears that left me with a chunk missing on one side and I have no idea how to make this look good. I had high hopes - read all of the Google reviews, but did not come here first, unfortunately, or I would have hesitated to book. My issue here is the transparency in pricing. Nobody brings this up because honestly most people don't think to look at an itemized bill from the salon. You go in and pay for what you ask, right? Wrong. When I went in for a $160 partial balayage they added $50 for a shampoo and blow dry on top of that?!? Blow drying and shampooing your hair is included with all salons I have been to in the past when paying for a service. So over $200 to get a few stripes of blonde in my hair with no haircut. Add on a couple products and tip..... you will walk out paying close to, if not more than $400. Just a warning if you haven't been here. Don't get me wrong, I will pay top dollar for good service and products. It is just not excusable to charge (trick) people $50 extra for a shampoo and blow dry on top of a service???? Not cool. **In response to the owners comment. My husband and I share a Yelp account and I can assure you I have been to your salon. You can help this situation by being transparent with your pricing for everyone. If you go in for a color, it should not be standard that you will pay for a hair cut and blowout included, without it being asked for. Some people could care less about an extra $50 or $100 added to their bill. More power to them. However, I can assure you that most people watch and care about how much they are being charged. I just want to do a huge shout out to Desiree at David Ryan Salon in Flower Mound. We have been working on transitioning my hair to my natural grey after decades of coloring. Desiree has been exceptional with making sure I understood the process and the time frame and she has been so very careful to not damage my hair. Where do I begin with this disastrous experience. I was told my stylist, Erica, knew how to do textured/curly hair. I requested a long, layered bob, a chocolate base color and blonde highlights. What I got was a choppy and lopsided haircut, and a hair color that was the opposite of what I asked for. When I refused to pay for this disappointing and disastrous hairdo, they in the most racist way, called the police and then told the police that I planned the whole thing so I wouldn't have to pay. As If I planned to sit there for 5 hours and get a lousy haircut and dye job. Then to add insult to injury still charged me over $300, which was not the final price we agreed on. Not worth the time or the money!!! Decided to give the Trophy Club location a shot today for hair color and cut. Was quoted about $150 when the the appointment was made but charged over $200. Very deceptive. They did low light and roots in the front and charged for all over color. Stylist decided to do gloss but never informed me of any additional charges. I paid for low lights that don't even show...it looks like all one color. Customer service was also sub par. Was there for over 2 hours but I couldn't even get a drink of water. Was told to go to my car and drink there since they have very strict mask policy due to Covid. Had walk all the way out to my car while the color and foils were in my hair to drink water in my car. So embarrassing as people were staring at me in the parking lot. The stylist asked me to remove the mask so she could touch up the hair on the side and that got dye on my finger nails. Water ran down my back while washing my hair too which can you don't expect at such a high end salon. Too bad was hoping this would be my new hair care place but will never go there again and make sure my neighbors and friends in Trophy Club don't either. read more

i had a girl named Desiree do my hair. I asked for light layers at the bottom of my hair and she did them so uneven. the layers looked like they were cut by a five year old. I have curly hair and she attempted to blow dry it but I came out of the salon with poofy hair, which made it look like I had just spent a day in the hot sun! I have been to this salon before and enjoyed it, but this particular time was awful. I have horrible layers at the bottom of my hair and it looks very uneven. no matter what I did to try and fix it, it still looks like a 5 year old tried to cut it! read more

*Update to previous 1 star review... Almost immediately after I posted my review I received a call from Ryan, the owner, asking me to talk with him about the issue. Additionally, they sent out a revised policy to all their customers modifying their fees for late cancellations & no-shows. I understand that they have a business to run & it's hard for a stylist to have unexpected open time slots and people who no-show are just damn rude. The salon also understands that a blanket policy like what they had drives off good customers. The net-net of it is, I had a fabulous cut & color with Ryan without having to pay a no-show fee and they have a happy customer & a more reasonable policy. Everyone is happy now... This rating is based strictly on their ridiculous policies & consequent crappy customer service. After being a customer here for over 3 years, I called on Friday afternoon & was able to get an appointment for Saturday (less than 24 hours later). I found out a few hours later that I wasn't going to be able to make it & called immediately (left a voice mail) to let them know. It was after they closed but the best I could do. I receive a voice mail from them the following morning to tell me they'll be happy to reschedule but since I didn't notify them with more than 24 hours they were going to charge me the FULL charge of $110 before I could reschedule! Are they on crack?! I made the damn appt with less than 24 hours & it's not like I no-showed the appt. maybe the rest of their customers don't have lives that get in the way but they have definitely lost this customer! Terrible service. I love the stylist I see, but front desk is unapologetically awful. I booked my appointment two weeks ago, made it clear I couldn't make any other weekend in May and was assured that I had an appt today. When I showed up, the receptionist told me that the person who booked it was no longer there and had me down another weekend. Didn't even try to rebook me today. I get that I'm one customer of hundreds they probably see, but you should treat each one as important. Do something to make it right. I wonder if the owner would have handled it differently. It's no wonder the turnover is high, they'll continue to lose customers if they don't fix their front desk. Again, very disappointed. If you go, ask for Stephanie, she's great. But good luck in scheduling, it's a crapshoot whether you'll be seen. read more

Total Disappointment, I have been to this salon 3 times in less than 30 days, I ordered extensions back in November 2021 and booked the first available Saturday in February. During my appointment - my hair was balayage, which i didnt even pick the color, it was done upon themselves, needless to say it was too dark to my liking and my hair was never trimmed or cut to blend with the extensions. Less then a week later, my color washed out and my extensions had fallen about 2" and had to go back and complain. Which the excuse I heard was warped beads.. I was made an appointment again, a week later, the extensions were reapplied, at no charge and shampoo hair $80. I had also mentioned that all the red that was applied to my hair had washed out and I wanted it fixed, another appointment was made and I was quoted $221.00 balayage color. Which i didn't understand why I was being recharged. On my next appointment date, was my hair color appointment, I asked for 1 solid color, all red with just a few carmel highlights for dimension. During the first application of color and highlights - she washed out my hair and noticed that my roots where bright orangey red and the rest was very dark. Saying it was my hair just didn't take the product well... then sat in a sink bowl for over 30 minutes while she did something to fix it, while the other salon techs where asking if she needed guidance, She pulled me out and started to dry my hair and it was fine, all one color - no highlights, nothing, but it was 1 color..... I reminded her that I needed a cut, because now my hair is dry and she is balancing me and another client at the same time at this point. She dry cuts my hair - choppy - I could have been better off having a child doing it. When I went to pay - I was charged over $350! And NO receipt ever provided, I was there from 11:00AM to 3:00PM - With all the products that where used on my hair that day - my scalp ended up burning and having a rash, I had to reach out to my doctor to double check and make sure i was ok. My hair is so dry, brittle and breaking. I have had my hair done less than 2 weeks ago and again the color is out and the extensions have fallen. I am over this place! read more

I had an appointment made 8 weeks in advance and was called and hour before and told the client before me had "extra" services and my appointment needed to be later. I was really excited to try this new place, and didn't even get to experience it... disappointed and upset to say the least. They had to reschedule the first time due to inclement weather which is understandable. However, I called a couple of times prior to confirm my appointment was still on and they confirmed it was. I was on my way to the salon, 10 mins prior to my scheduled appointment, and they called me to cancel. They re-booked me 2 days later. I walk in and to my disappointment, I needed to wait as the receptionist said the hair stylist is running late, so I sat on their couch and had a cup of tea. I figured I'll give her 10 mins... 15 mins go by and I ask... do you know how long she will be? The receptionist said, I'm not sure. Then, the hair stylist walks up to me, introduces herself and tells me she's finishing up a blow out and to give her 10 mins. Now it's 20 mins past my scheduled appointment and I see her chatting it up to her client as if she just showed up. I walked back over the the receptionist and said I will not be rescheduling, please cancel my appointment and will not be paying the cancellation fee.
