Lots of parking in the lot. I had a balayage done twice with Madison and both times I looked great. Easy to schedule online, but spots can book out way in advance, especially on weekends. However, I feel this is increasingly typical for beauty services so it didn't seem preposterous. read more

The Beautyhive has a fun environment, nice stylist, and a clean kept salon. I wish I had equally positive thing to say about their services. I have visited the salon on 4 occasions each time hoping for a better outcome. I unfortunately determined this is not the salon for brunettes. I first booked a haircut appointment to check out the place and talk to a stylist about doing balayage to my virgin brunette hair. I voiced my concerns about avoiding streaky or orange highlight on my dark hair and showed her a few pictures of what I wanted. She seemed knowledgeable and confident on the service so I booked a second appointment to go through with the balayage. The haircut was fine, I will say I was expecting a little more considering the price. For my second appointment our consultation was only about a minute long, at the time I wasn't concerned considering how much we had talked about balayage during my first appointment. Once I sat on her chair she explained that balayage is a technique not a highlighting style, and to achieve that look on my dark hair we would have to do foil work instead. She suggested we start with a mini. To which I understood was a mini balayage. What she meant was a small strip of highlights on the middle top of my head. It was absolutely not what I wanted. I went back a few days later to see what they could do to minimize how streaky it looked at the roots. I took a half day off work for my hair to look exactly the same afterwards (they just put a different toner at the roots which made no difference). I wasn't too ecstatic about the result but I blamed it on the initial miscommunication. I booked a third appointment a few months out hoping my roots would grow out enough to give them another shot. For my third appointment I was sure to voice what I did not like about my hair the first time around, and emphasized the balayage look I was going for with a picture. The end product was pretty close to what I wanted but still not it. The stylist mainly focused on the top of my hair and some on the front hairline. When I really wanted a full balayage for depth and dimension throughout. I booked a fourth appointment a few months out for maintenance. I was sure this next time they would surely get it down. For my fourth appointment I ended up with the same result as the first time around; streaky highlight on the top of my head. It didn't look horrible but it just wasn't what i wanted, again.... But that's not what made me upset. When I got home I noticed I had areas that looked orange and blotchy. I also found little parts of my hair had melted off, probably from over processing under the heat lamp. I attempted to reach out to the salon and the stylist but they did not seem too pressed with my concerns. Needless to say that was it for me. I advise visiting a salon that specializes on brunettes. It has been almost a year since they fried my hair, and I am still working on recovering from all the breakage. I now go to Shaina at the Indigo Child in Dallas. They're worth the drive and every penny. read more

I am blown away by the service, care and thoughtful nature of the team at Beauty Hive. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I felt comfortable and cared for. Erin did an amazing job with my hair - I've been waiting almost two years to find a great blonde specialist and finally found her! Everyone in the salon was super kind, and Erin was amazing at sharing each step of what she was doing, making sure I had drinks and snacks while I was there, and making sure I was happy with the outcome. I've never had someone say so often to let her know what I thought and if I wanted any changes. She even blow dried half of my hair to see how I liked it at all angles in case I wanted anything changed. She was able to share tips on everything to products to think about (when asked - she didn't try to upsell me like some places do) as well as tools and tips on how to best take care of my hair. They even adjusted the product they used when I told them I had previously had a scalp reaction to the normal product they use. My hair feels so healthy and beautiful, and I honestly can't wait to see how it grows out and to come back. So glad I found this wonderful salon and loved hearing about the dedication of the owner and staff to training and creating such a welcoming environment. read more

I have never been so pleased with a salon, Ari took so much time with me to explain everything she was going to be doing and helped me fully understand exactly what was going to be happening during my time there. I explained I didn't want to be as dark as my reference and that I would probably want a more icey blonde tone as well. She took her time and talked with me to make me more comfortable since it was my first time there. As well as every product they use just smell so amazing and everyone is so friendly and on top of everything. As for price, that wasn't bad at all very reasonable for everything I had done. THE BEST. EVER. I have been trying to find a salon in DFW that provides a good cut + color without being overly expensive, and this is the place!!! I previously colored my hair in uptown Dallas, which was verrrry pricey and honestly not worth it. I went back to my natural color (brunette) and recently wanted to go back to blonde, so I was looking everywhere for a reliable salon. I found their instagram page and was checking out all the stylists and decided to DM Jardine on instagram to see if she would be available for a cut. Surprisingly, she had an opening the next morning and I booked it! She was SO sweet and so much fun- very easy to talk to and knows exactly what she's doing and what look will look best on you. We did a dry cut, then she shampooed my hair, and I said, "if you wanted to color my hair right now I would totally let you", and she just laughed lol! But then she came back and said that her next two clients (mother & daughter) couldn't make it, so she would have time if I really wanted to. Most spontaneous decision i've ever made, but I figured this was a sign that I should go for it, so I did, and absolutely am obsessed with the way it turned out!!! Through the whole process, Jardine explained each product she was putting on my hair and why, which I loved. For a partial balayage, this took about 2 hours. The entire staff in this salon is so friendly and enthusiastic- they all joke with each other and greet you so kindly!!! I would highly recommend this place!!! I've been going here for over a year now and I absolutely love this place. I trust the stylists so much, that I have even booked with other stylists if I was in pinch. Color- I always feel like they are just as concerned with making no damage occurs and that my hair meets my wants without losing its integrity. Plus, I don't know what secret formulas they are using, but my color always stays. Extensions-I originally looked for a place that was trained in a certain technique, Nicole-the owner was trained so I consulted with her and fell in love! She always seeks training, loves science and time flies with her. I literally look forward to sitting in her chair and getting beautified. Atmosphere-Darling! Beauty Hive is my new favorite salon. I was referred to the beautiful boutique style salon by a good friend with beautiful locks. I was specifically referred to the talented and sweet blonde specialist, Jardine. Since moving to DFW, I have searched for a little over a year for the perfect stylist, and I've finally found her. From the start of the visit, the friendly Elle greets you and offers drinks while seating you on a comfy pink velvet couch to wait for a face to face consultation with your stylist. I have never had an experience where the stylist talks face to face about your visit. Typically they stare at you in the mirror and ask "what are we doing today?". This one very small idea increases the communication about your hair desires 10 fold. It also allows for proper expectations of both parties and develops trust. Jardine listened to my hair needs and very confidently delivered the blonde Balayage so many fall short at. She did an amazing job. Additionally, I've had a so-so cut for awhile, and I like to let my hair air dry. It had not "set" well for air drying. She cut it in a way that allows me to wear my curls naturally and air dried 24-7. The entire salon functions as a team and they are obviously a close group which usually means there is great management and ownership leading from the top. After my appointment went so well, I booked an appointment for my daughter. She has extremely thick and curly hair. Jardine cut and thinned it perfectly, and another colleague stepped in to help blow dry and straighten. They did a great job and my daughter was very happy with her cut. Nicole is my jam! I am so happy my past stylist recommended me to her. She is so personable and friendly, you feel like you have known her for a long time even when you have just met. After my wedding I wanted a drastic change and Nicole did not disappoint making my lob vision come to life. I appreciated that after the cut she took the time to style my hair how I had shown her in all my inspiration pictures. She also went through step by step to make sure I could do it on my own at home. I have never had another hair stylist take the time to do that with me! Even though it was months before my next visit I still immediately felt comfortable with her. This time I wanted a brighter blonde balayage and what she ended up doing was perfect! Hello perfect! First of all we were late. Now I hate being late and to top it off it was an evening appointment, probably the last of the day. I called and they were so nice about it. I expected a funny look or two when we finally strolled in but we were met with such a genuine sweet welcome. So needless to say that sweet culture personified the whole experience. But we did go for a haircut and here again we were really listened to and what my daughter asked for us exactly what she wanted. A big plus right? Also the cut was beautiful. Pricing not too bad either. I extend to say that the decor was also comfortable and nicely done. No one seems to be able to do it (I always show the same photo and have basically given up). I have been staying with my sister here in Trophy Club during COVID and Nicole was able to get me in due to a last minute cancellation. After many hours reviewing Yelp reviews for a salon in my area, I decided to give Beauty Hive a try. The salon is beautiful and the entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. Bekkah trimmed my waist length hair, adding some long layers and reshaping my outgrown bangs. She did a wonderful job with the cut and even styled my hair into beachy waves before I left. There was an additional $10 "long hair" fee added to the price of my cut which I have never experienced before, but given the fact that she took extra time to curl all of my hair after blowing it out, I didn't balk. She was absolutely on trend with current styles and she specializes in color and color correction. I can't wait to return in a few weeks to have her color my hair! read more
