An Experience? That really is the question…read more The staff was nice and friendly. However the experience was lack luster...especially for the price, also seemed over booked... Would not suggested for a special day. We booked for a special day for my daughter and a friend. They were to get mani, pedi, facial (that was kinda a joke), hair, and makeup. Did they receive all the services yes, BUT they were rushed, not as expected, not personalized, pushed through like a conveyor belt, could not even curl her hair to style (she did not get it cut) so time was not utilized there, said oh wait did you want makeup, said yes so just had her stand there and plopped it on. Just not that special interaction one would like for a special experience. Not even look in the mirror you look amazing,.look at you hair, or take a moment to enjoy and make her and her friends feel special, it was om great next... Beware of the spray they use to dry the nails very toxic, should have a sheild or something when they spray it, or ask would you like this? Your selling a service a feeling, and well we walked out say hmmm probably not a return customer.

You can imagine the skepticism coming back, but we had a GREAT experience with Brook who did a scissor cut on my son's hair. She did fantastic job and dealt with his demeanor very well. The very kind cashier put me on hold to ask Andrea if she could take a walk-in around 3:00 PM. I was told Andrea was available as long as we arrived within the next 20 minutes. When my son and I arrived, the cashier greeted us and said Andrea was finishing up with another client and would be right with us. We sat down in the salon. Andrea clearly saw us come in, yet she did not greet or acknowledge us in any way. Andrea then proceeded to check out the father and son who were before us. During checkout, she asked the father, "Are you from Pakistan?" He replied, "No, from India." Andrea then responded, "People from Pakistan tip $3. We live off our tips." The father said nothing and left. I was shocked by the prejudiced and inappropriate comment. After he left, Andrea continued to ignore me and my son and sat down as if we were not there. I then spoke up and said, "We called ahead to make sure you could fit us in. Are you available?" Andrea responded rudely, "Who said I would take you?" I explained that the cashier had called her and confirmed availability. Andrea then glared at the cashier and replied in a hostile tone, "I don't know why she would tell you that." I told her that if she was unable to take us, that was completely fine. She paused for several seconds and repeated, with the same attitude, that she didn't know why the cashier would say that. At that point, I told her, "I would rather you not cut my baby's hair if you're having a bad day." She responded, "I'm actually in a good mood." Given her behavior, I gathered my things and left. As I was leaving, the cashier asked what happened. I explained that I would not tolerate Andrea's attitude or behavior. This was our fifth visit to Kiddie Salon and, unfortunately, our last. Our usual stylist, Amanda, had quit, and Andrea was the only option available that day. Based on this experience, I can honestly say we will not be returning.
