I definitely didn't want to pay way more than I was used to. ENTER BLUE MORPHO. The scheduling was so easy and they really DO return your voicemail if you have to leave one. Most places never return your call. My stylist, Katlyn, totally transformed my hair!! She listened to what I needed, helped me find a picture and made sure we had the same vision, then went to work! I think my total visit was about 3 hours for my color treatment and haircut + style, about average but it felt very quick. I was very nervous when it came time to pay, expecting it to be a couple hundred. But it was a RELIEF to see the total was very fair and affordable. If you're on the fence, I say GO FOR IT! I think you'll love how your hair comes out and you won't feel cheated at the end of your visit. The VALUE/quality is what makes you feel like it's money well spent. Do it, girl.

And that says a lot...I am extremely picky about who touches my hair. With Heather, I can simply sit in her chair comfortably knowing she will effortlessly cut my super thick hair and make it look great! She has many years of experience, loves styling hair and actually listens to her clients. In the past I'd gone to several different salons to find 'the one' and no one even compares. Now I drive all the way from Forney to Southlake just for Heather. Do your hair a favor and go see Heather at Studio 125 Salon. She will not disappoint!!!

After overpaying for color that was not even close to what I wanted (and then having one of the owners try to "fix" it and only making it worse) at a well-known salon in Dallas, I decided to give Philip a whirl last fall. I'm about as low-maintenance as they get when it comes to color... or at least that's what I like to think. I have left every appointment with Philip SO happy with my color, and we haven't even gotten around to totally fixing it (I've been out of town so much and haven't had time) to what I originally wanted at the other place a year ago, but my hair looks fantastic and I always feel SO much better leaving Studio 125. Not only that, but Philip is awesome at making just the right amount of conversation and doesn't make you feel awkward when (like me) you have to keep working while in the chair. So... you want good color? Go see Philip at Studio 125... I'm planning on doing it tomorrow! :)

Prices are good. Super clean. But what I got wasn't what I wanted/asked for. I even asked if the stylist wanted me to keep the photo out and was told it wasn't necessary. Showed the picture at LEAST 4 times and was told that this is popular cut which put me under the assumption that it was doable. When asked if I liked the cut, I said that I thought it should be shorter. I was shocked when the reply was "Your hairline can only go up so far". Hairline and haircut are two different things. I zipped my lips and just agreed to everything so I could get out of there and get it fixed elsewhere. Now to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Update: Went to another salon and got it taken care of.

I made a consultation appointment with Sammie, who developed a plan to remove my extensions and start fresh with extensions that were better for my hair. On the day of my appointment, Sammie spent over 4 hours carefully and painstakingly removing my extensions. They don't have much of an online presence so it was a surprising find. A friend referred me to Kendal Florence, and I had an excellent experience. I put off getting my hair cut for 6 months after moving to Texas because I was so nervous about finding a new stylist to deal with my thick, coarse, curly & very unruly hair. I've had a number of bad experiences over the years & a good stylist is worth their weight in gold. Kendal is very friendly, professional, & immediately put her hands in my hair & was very positive about the fact that she was excited to cut it. I've been on the receiving end of stylists who looked nervous or horrified once they see how much hair I have, but I didn't feel that AT ALL from her. I have very curly hair and it's impossible to explain what cut I want unless once my hair is wet. I appreciated that Kendal took the time to sit me down in the chair and discuss what I wanted BEFORE shampooing my hair. She was very gentle with my wet hair & untangled it carefully-no ripping, yanking, etc. I really appreciated that especially since I am so gentle with it myself as I don't want to damage it. She worked quickly but did a thorough job. While she was working she seemed so completely in her element, not nervous & fidgety. I usually feel terrified with each chunk of hair that falls but not this time. I got a keratin treatment and a major haircut. My hair went from primarily one length, ultra long (3 inches past my bra strap) to a medium-length angled bob with the front being dramatically longer than the back. It looks EXACTLY like the pictures I showed her and I felt she really listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly! I feel the cut is so flattering & fabulous. Also, this might seem like a given to people with "normal" hair but she did a great blow-out! I have been left damp many times over the years. I really appreciated the time she spent and her attention to detail. I am so happy to have found her! Another great thing is that you can actually book appointments via text. :)
