Been going to this salon for a year now and love it. My stylist Jose is consistently great and has a super personality. I enjoy going there. Everyone is friendly, the music is great and they offer complimentary drinks, from sparkling water, to coffee, to wine. I'm not one for giving reviews but this last visit I was dealing with a shoulder sprain. I mentioned it to Jose, and he immediately offered a warm compress, and the assistant came back to refresh it twice. I thought that was above and beyond offering not just good service but a level of comfort that was completely satisfying and made the appointment much better with the sprained shoulder. read more

I made an appt with Ronnie after reading a great review from another customer with curly hair. I have never liked my curls because they are frizzy and have different coil sizes so it's frustrating. Well! When I got home and tousled the product out a bit I was shocked at how amazing my curls looked. I am hopeful that I can make them look as good as Ronnie did. She gave me a great cut and turned me onto some new all natural products. The salon was clean and everyone was super nice. No salon snobs here. Communication with the salon was not the best. I stopped in when I was having difficulty with their website and evidently they don't like that. I was ready for a major transformation after having been in the hospital for months and a major surgery. I felt as though the stylist was being judgmental when I'm needing some dental work from an injury related to being hospitalized. They need a PR makeover! I am always weary of getting my hair cut! Last time I went to a salon the lady chopped off way to much like 5 inches with that being said I was traumatized so I went the next 3 years trimming my own hair. After reading many reviews, I finally decided to book an appointment with Heather at Head Case Hair Studio and I am so glad I did! I wasn't sure what I wanted done but Heather was patient and helped me decided the best cut for me. They also have their own line of hair care products that smell amazing. I will definitely be going back. Only reason I left a 4 star and not 5 is due to the construction that was going on while I was there, it was about 30 outside and the construction workers in and out the doors it was freezing inside. I was hoping to find my forever hair salon with HeadCase being so close to my new home and I like to get my hair done often as it's my everyday outfit. I had a consultation and then an appointment a couple days after and I was super excited. When I got to my 8 am appointment they said I did have an appointment but it got canceled because they didn't have a card on file , I was like what! I had to take my morning off work for this appointment and your telling me you didn't try to contact me just canceled my appointment- with no heads up! I had to make another appointment and do another consultation- so the last one was a waste of my time too since they could only get me into a different stylist. So had to take two days off work, but now was desperate. I told the stylist who I was paired with what I wanted and she did not even come close to doing what I asked. My first time having my hair done by this place. Just not happy with my hair color..done by Jose. The color is terrible lowlights and highlights. I showed him a pic n I knew it wouldn't be exactly the same as the pic but some what like it. He said sure I can do this!!! He was not very friendly. And was pretty rough doing my hair. He gave me the impression of not loving his job! Am very sad that i had a bad experience. Never ask me do you like it or anything! I would never recommend anyone to him. I've been coming to this salon since I moved to the Keller area in 2018 and have generally had good experiences. I've only ever done cuts and blowouts as I don't color my hair and haven't tried any of their treatments. For starters, I love the studio itself: gorgeous, fun, and always makes me feel like I'm getting pampered. The stylists are always great. Since my work schedule is so erratic, I generally don't get to see the same stylist each time. Everyone I've worked with has been great: very attentive and willing to work with me to get my hair looking great again. I'm pretty attached to my long hair, so I've really appreciated having stylists who take this into consideration and check with me before cutting more off. As for the blowouts, I've had two done here and both were fabulous. The prices here are pretty reasonable. Generally, for cutting my long hair, it costs me around $90 after tips. Definitely recommend checking this place out for a cut or blowout! You won't be disappointed. read more

I've been going to this establishment for over a year now, and I've had the pleasure of getting to know a lot of these beautiful people. From Ashleys' warm and friendly greeting up front to all the stylists and (amazing) esthetician that work there. This particular review is about Veronica (Ronnie). Y'all... I have struggled my ENTIRE life with my hair. I have curly hair, my mom has straight hair, and she had NO idea how to help me take care of it. I have had the worst haircuts because I never knew what to ask for or what my hair type needed. Ronnie flew in like an Angel Goddess from above and knew EXACTLY what I needed. I put my full trust in her and y'all... she did NOT disappoint. I've spent my whole life insecure about my hair and for the first time in 34 years I FEEL CONFIDENT! I've gotten so many compliments, I have no idea how to react other than to sing her praises. Beyond the hair cut, her personality is genuinely the real star of the show. She's the most empathetic, generous, kind and compassionate person I've met in quite some time. Really everyone there is like this, but my heart has a special place for her. She recognized some trauma flaws I have, i.e. saying sorry too much, hands shaking, insecurity, etc. and tailored the experience to accommodate me and shared some of her story with me. She didn't have to do that, but she chose that moment to share with me and I'm grateful for it. Im always insecure walking in to any Salon or Spa, because everyone who works there is GORGEOUS, and I usually show up like I just rolled out of bed. Got the WORST hair cut of my life! I asked stylist to cut two inches off and add long textured layers. The layers were SO choppy. Look at the pictures. I wish I was exaggerating. I ended up having to come back in a second time to have the long choppy layers fixed but to be able to get my hair to look somewhat decent they ended up needing to cut six inches off. I was honestly heart broken. It took me years to grow my hair out. The first hair styles completely ruined my hair. The second stylist that fixed it did an ok job but that doesn't change the fact that I had to chop six inches off my hair to fix it. I believe I should have received a complete refund since this salon ruined my hair and it will take me years to grow it back out. Will NOT be back to this studio again. read more

Parking: Plenty of parking. My appointment was at 9 AM, and I was able to park right in front, but there was still plenty of parking available that doesn't require a long walk. No steps to enter the building other than a small step up on the sidewalk from parking. Arriving: I was greeted and checked in for my appointment in a friendly and welcoming manner. I was asked to have a seat on one of the white bench style seats at the front. The stylist was respectful of my time and started my appointment on time. I was offered something to drink when I first arrived, but I did not want anything at that time. I was not approached again for a beverage option. Appointment: The seating is comfortable and didn't leave me feeling like I was being stuffed into a small swivel chair that isn't sturdy like some salons use for clients. As a matter of fact, that seating is one of the reasons I chose this salon in the first place. I was in to get a half up-half down style and full makeup. My stylist was Sheyanne. Styling/Makeup: Sheyanne was incredibly attentive and talented. I enjoyed her positive attitude and genuinely friendly way of connecting with me on similar interests when chatting. I gave her the freedom to do what she does best, and she did not disappoint me! My skin is dry, and I normally stay away from makeup because it can look cakey, but she explained how to solve that problem. I even purchased a few products for home use, but she was in no way "salesy" with me. Overall: They have a referral program and a loyalty program, which was explained to me as I was paying. They offered to make a future appointment for me. I do plan to go back to see Sheyanne for some coloring. Highly recommend this place! read more

After seeing all the positive reviews of the salon I was very hopeful for what they could do for my hair. I recently got 4 inches cut off, but my cut wasn't done well at another salon. I cut my layers myself and was very proud and happy with how they looked, but I made an appointment at Head Case just so I could have a stylist double check all my ends to make sure I didn't miss anything and to help blend and lighten up all my layers. My stylist was Erika, one of the more seasoned stylists at the salon. I explained to her what I wanted but she just hacked at my layers and destroyed any nice lines I had made. I went in with a beautiful clean cut and left with a haircut that I regretted and am needing to let grow out- the layers are too short and choppy and she chopped every bit of length off my sides even though I repeatedly told her I just didn't want any holes or gapes in my hair. Update: It was actually misunderstanding between me and Erika not that she doesn't know how to make clean cuts. She thought I wanted a wispy cut rather than just my layers blended. My second experience only days later was even worse. I scheduled a balayage with Lexi. My hair was beautifully healthy and full, soft and a nice healthy untouched brown. I left the salon with a fully bleached head of hair with a green hue to it. My healthy hair, that just got every bit of dead end off is now bleached, dry and stripped of any natural color almost all the way to my roots. I cannot fathom a stylist doing this to someone's gorgeous healthy hair. I am horrified and only hope they can somehow fix this. Lauren was able to fix my hair. read more

This is my favorite salon in Keller-Fort Worth area. It's a little expensive, but definately worth it. They use great hair products. I discovered my favorite shampoo brand here which is now Kevin Murphy. I used to have really bad dry scalp issues and could t get rid of it no matter what I did. I literally tried every generic , even expensive shampoos and it never went away. Now I love using Kevin Murphy Hydrate me Rinse & Wash. Even my fiance started using it because he loved how it felt. It doesnt dry my hair out and I wash my hair everyday. Honestly though I still cant use any of the styling products but Ive accepted my hair just hates product. Anyways on to the stylists and experience: They give you a free drink, and walk you through what youd like to do with your hair. The stylist I went to was very friendly and listened to what I asked. After coming here my hair looks amazing. They also have a blow-out bar but honestly I usually dont get a blow out. They still style your hair with the hair cut if you choose not to get a blow out just not as fancy. It is good to know I can come here if I ever need one for an event though. I also love that their hair dying products are safe for pregnant women. I've been here twice now for hair cut and another for color. I'll definately be back. Only memo for the owner of the building is please install heat and air, it was so cold waiting in the chairs in the winter!! Only reason for 4 stars and not 5. read more

Where do I even begin?! I was referred to Head Case, so I looked them up. (I always do my research and look at the reviews). I read mostly positive reviews on yelp. I was really impressed with the management's responses to the negative reviews. Super professional, yet really truthful about what services that person received. It gave me the impression that this business not only cares about their name, but will also address the concerns of a customer with dignity. I absolutely loved the fact that there is an option on their website to be paired with stylists based off a simple, short survey. Not only did it prompt my interest, but it made me believe that this business cares enough about potential clients by taking the time in investing in their clientele! I was matched up with Erika and two other stylists, but her bio is what sealed the deal in selecting her as my stylist! She was very warm and friendly. She listened to all of my concerns, double shampooed my awful hair, and gave such great encouragement and advice for growing out my hair! Expertise and environment mean so much to me when choosing where to spend. This was so worth it! Miss Veronica seems to be the greatest barber that has ever touched my hair. I came in for a transformation wanting to make my hair much shorter and she surpassed my own expectations turning my hair into something I love even more than I already did. She talked me through the process before starting and made sure I was happy and comfortable the entire time. Crissy saved my hair from an absolutely horrible color job done elsewhere. At my other place, I asked for darker for fall with caramel highlights...and got what looked like a flat, zero dimension boxed black color (with red highlights?!). I was devastated and in tears when I found Head Case online after lots of research. I called and they got me in in less than a week with Crissy, who I was SO impressed with. But let me back up: I chatted with the owner on the phone and she was so understandable, sympathetic, and knew exactly what needed to be done. I got in today and I was immediately told to sit and relax and was offered a drink from their drink menu. The salon was clean, orderly and had music and movies playing. They use organic, all-natural products and therefore, the place doesn't smell like ammonia hair dye. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Crissy was amazing! She and I chatted for a while about what I wanted before, what I didn't get, and what my goal was. She was honest in telling me her opinion and what could be done, and then we got started. Five stars all around for everything about this place: I just went in for a haircut, but I will most definitely be back in the future for my hair cut and coloring needs and I will be sharing this place with my friends and family!! FYI: They happily honor the Yelp check-in for 10% off. For a salon, this place is really resonably priced. I do not mind paying a little more to get EXACTLY what I ask for. My stylist Emily was amazing. She was friendly, gave me tips and tricks that pertained to MY hair, and we talked ideas about future appointments for color. She was honest and I could tell she really loved her job. By the end of my haircut I felt like I'd been going to this salon for years. They have a loyalty program to so theres lots of little perks for frequent visits and for referring people. I'm all about that! The salon itself was SUPER clean. They use green products so it doesn't smell like every other hair salon with the dyes and all the chemicals. And I love that they have a blow dry bar and people that you can book an appointment to just have your hair and makeup done. And finally parking was abundant! Gotta love that. I've been going to see them for my bi-yearly haircuts for a while (I've seen Lexi and Veronica), but then I also had Rissa do my hair and makeup for my wedding on 10/10/2020! We did a consultation (free) to talk, a bridal makeup trial, and she came to my house the day of to do my sister, my mom, and my hair and makeup. She also was flexible when my 2 sis-in-laws also wanted to add eyelashes. It was so nice to find a flexible, professional, HMUA for my wedding that only cost the same as if I went in to get hair/makeup done on any other day!
