    Today I felt like a princess at Ryan Wayne Salon I am so happy with my hair and makeup. Everyone there is so nice and courteous I felt like I was with family. I can wait to be back.

    Came in to see Bree - I moved to Houston last year and could not find anyone as good as her here, so from now on I'll make the trip to Colleyville ever 5 or so weeks to get my hair done by her! She's the best!

    Comment Response: Nathan was not my stylist. I scheduled a 4:45pm appt that I was told was a cancellation. I was not the last client in the salon. Not giving a service range prior to appt makes exceptionally higher prices awkward when first seen at the consultation. If my budget was of issue I wouldn't have stayed. Briana & I did not talk for up to 45mins but more like 15. There was not an appt scheduled for Saturday morning to be looked at. There was only 1 follow up call a week later asking for pictures, which I sent immediately. There were no other calls or emails. Hardly what I would call constant contact. There has never been a conversation regarding working anything out as there were only two conversations after my appt; Saturday and the phone call for pictures...until my review here. As I explained when I spoke to Briana today; I've never blamed anyone for this happening. There is no way to know why...the fact is that it happened. As Briana explained on the phone today; the salon anticipated that I would keep in touch. My bad. I would have anticipated this as customer service on behalf of the salon. My disappointment began days after the appt for the lack of concern or basic customer service. This is accomplishing nothing. The burns happened. The weeks that followed happened the way that they did. Lessons learned all the way around I guess. ---------- I never could have imagined what happened. I've thought a lot about writing this review and finally decided it's honest and that makes it the right thing to do. New customer for RWS and initially was excited. Anticipated a higher cost over what I've been paying but worth it to improve a couple of things I felt lacking. I asked for a ballpark estimate over the phone but was told it would need to be done in person. A thorough consultation happened at my first appt...highlights, color on my roots, conditioning treatment and cut. (Like I said, anticipated higher pricing than what I had been paying.) she returned with my quote and it was $480!! (Not kidding...awkward!). Supposedly maintenance would be $200ish. I'm there...suck it up and get it done...you'll love it). My appt took about 4 hours and I left close to closing. I couldn't contact them later that night when I starting having scalp tenderness. However, the next day when I realized I had multiple chemical burn spots I contacted them. My stylist said to come in the next morning and someone would take a look...she was working a wedding and wouldn't be available. I did go in and someone I hadn't seen before looked. Asked me a couple questions...no, nothing I've done recently has changed and never had this happen before. I was given a tub of calming conditioner and sent on my way. Then about a week later I received a call and was asked for pictures which I sent immediately and no response and there has been no communication since. Haven't heard from my actual stylist yet. I counted almost 15 burn circles that took over two weeks to completely heal!!! Three of which require medication applied daily! Long story short...? I paid $500 for a chemical burned scalp and EXTREMELY poor customer service...not to mention the lack of a basic concern for the condition of my head! No touching base to see how I'm doing, no offer to treat my scalp for me, no offer of a refund....nothing but a tub of calming cream. Highly disappointing and could have been handled sooooo differently!

    Bad experience and would not go back. Here is why…read more I had scheduled a time/day to get my hair cut. The stylist took 6 hours (no exaggeration) to do my hair. It got to the point where it was 10:00 p.m. and I just had to leave. I couldn't take it any more. She didn't even finish my hair all the way and she made me very uncomfortable. It wasn't until the next day that I realized just how bad my hair really was. My roots were not even touched and my hair was very uneven. To say that this was the worst haircut/dye that I have ever received, is an understatement. So naturally, I decided to go back to the salon and just ask them to fix it. I didn't make a big deal about it at all and I would have been fine just getting it fixed. Upon entering the salon the following day, I spoke with Jeff and explained my situation and how I requested to have my hair fixed. Jeff then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for another appointment...I politely explained the situation again and requested that my roots just be touched up and my uneven hair trimmed. Jeff stated he would have to speak to his supervisor (maybe, the owner?), Melissa and I would be contacted. Was I contacted? Nope. In fact multiple times I had to follow up and send multiple pictures to finally get another appointment scheduled. Luckily, when I came in and got my hair fixed, a new stylist fixed my hair and I was pleasantly relieved. It should be reiterated that no one including the supervisor, Melissa, the owner, or anyone ever contacted me to apologize including when I came back in person to get my hair fixed. In addition, I should also point out that whenever a stylist leaves the salon, the company sends out emails, and at times will explain why the stylist left. For one particular stylist, the email stated, "XXXX has left Willow Sage Salon on unfortunate terms. Her conduct has not been in line with our values, and we cannot continue working with her." In my opinion, this is unprofessional and these type of things should be kept in house. There is no need to air dirty laundry out to the public. By doing this, it doesn't reflect positively on the business and raises questions about the company and business practices. To summarize, all of this could have been easily avoided and I wouldn't have posted a review if better customer service would have been implemented. The owner or supervisor-anyone should have contacted me, apologized and resolved the problem immediately by booking another appointment. I shouldn't have had to continue to follow up multiple times etc. I will never go back. Do not recommend.

    I'm sharing my inspiration photos alongside the actual results I left this salon with, because the…read moredifference is unbelievable. I booked a full highlight and arrived at 11:45 for a 12:15 appointment. I sat in the stylist's chair and we spent a solid 20 minutes going over my hair, my expectations, and multiple inspiration photos. I was told the look I wanted was completely achievable. However, the results were uneven, patchy, and visibly over‑processed, with harsh light bands and inconsistent placement clearly visible at the top and sides of my hair. This is not a subtle issue. . . it's a full highlight that looks nothing like what was discussed or shown in my inspiration photos. During the appointment, I voiced concerns about needing more foils, a root smudge or shadow, and some actual color, because I didn't believe using only bleach and toner was appropriate, but I was reassured that everything was on track. When the stylist finished, even she acknowledged the visible striping and said she "needed more time" and "should have done more foils," blaming the front desk for not booking enough time to complete the service properly. That is not the client's responsibility. I requested a refund due to the clear quality issues and the stylist's own admission that the work wasn't done correctly, but the salon refused. I'm now having to pay another professional to correct the uneven, over‑processed areas. It's honestly shocking that a salon would treat clients this way instead of standing behind their work. Save yourself the stress. Stay away from this salon. I'm sharing my experience so others know what happened and what the response was when I asked for a fair resolution. I literally look like Kelly Clarkson's 'Miss Independent' album cover.
