I came here after reading many positive reviews. The young lady didn't act like she wanted to cut my hair to begin with, maybe she was tired or having a bad day. I wish I remembered her name. She barely asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. She ended up layering my hair a lot. After a couple days I noticed my hair was hard to style and didn't look good. I let it grow out for several weeks and went to another salon to get it corrected. The stylist there said the layers were not blended and there was a hole on one side of my hair. Stella salon charged me $60 for my poorly done haircut. Mind you, I don't mind paying $60 if I get a great haircut. If you have thick, wavy hair I would not recommend this place. read more

I was in need of color and trim. I tried this place out and was impressed. The salon looked very clean and cozy. Muna came and greeted me and immediately I felt comfortable. I liked to see how she greeted each client. I never felt rushed. She has a new client here. Color was spot on, trim was actually just a trim, and blow dry had me leaving looking and feeling pretty. When I say I have been to a lot of salons, I wish I was exaggerating. I had box dyed burgundy hair and wanted to go a an ash blonde balayage. Soon I found out that it would take some time and going to three different salons in a span of months... I was losing hope. Until one day I saw this girl who's balayage looked like exactly what I wanted. That's when I found Stella salon. Muna and Carla are the sweetest most genuine girls I have ever came across in a work setting. You can tell they love what they do and take their time no matter how busy they are. The craziest part is that you get exactly what you ask for. I got my ash blonde hair! I have been going to them for a while now and will never be going to anyone else. I went in for natural ombre and my last experience with color wasn't so great and my friend had just gotten a really bad color experience, so I was really anxious. But wow, I am so happy I went here!! I've lived in the area for a while but Stella Salon just moved here two years ago. Muna is a color specialist and she knows exactly what she's doing!! Everyone there was so nice and Muna was able to get me the exact color I was asking for! But since moving here I've tried so many places and either the hair cut was poor or the customer service was. I called here after reading the reviews and Muna saw me on a Sunday! She was so sweet and friendly and talked to me the entire time, as well as offering to help me learn how to style my hair different ways. She did a quick dry cut (I didn't need a shampoo), added long layers into my hair, ran a flat iron over it, and it looked great; I was amazed and in and out in about 15 minutes! I had an engagement party and I wanted the best of the best to work on my hair, mind you my hair is very hard to manage. She treated my mother, my mother in law, and myself as if we were family. She took such great care of us and I felt like I was in a salon back in the Middle East because of the hospitality. The girls that work under her are also so sweet and genuine. I completely trusted her with my hair and she literally made me feel and look like a queen. She was so much fun to talk to and when my makeup artist came in to do her job, Muna fixed up my hair to work accordingly to my make up. She was like an older sister to me; advising me on what looks good and what does not. I recommend her for any affair and for any work. I've been to Stella twice. First time Muna, the owner was very nice and seemed to be quite experienced. My color was nice and I left happy. Once I got home I noticed some places that had no color at all and it was as though she completely missed it. I called to tell her and she was rude and tried to say it was "just the way your hair is" but offered to try to fix it ??? Stupidly I allowed her to repair it but she didn't remember the color she used and so she guessed and it was wrong and now I'm two toned. Still blamed my hair on her foul up. I do not recommend. After seeing all of the amazing reviews on here, I decided to give Stella Salon a try and I was optimistic especially considering they have great prices. I had a good experience while I was there and left liking my hair cut and color, but once I got home and tried to style it myself, I was extremely disappointed. I asked for some layers and some type of angling or a face frame in the front. I basically have 1 chunk of hair on one side of my head about 4 - 5 inches wide that is a blunt cut across 4 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. Just completely cut straight across like a a kindergartner cut it. It looks terrible and no matter how I style my hair, it looks awful and I just have to pull it back. Which leads me to the second disappointment..... I liked the way the color that my hair wound up, but I noticed that it feel very thin near my roots. I have trouble even covering my part to put my hair up which has never been a problem for me as I have pretty thick hair. After some Googling, I found out that you are not supposed to go under the dryer with color for all-over color and I was under there for 20+ minutes. So now the end of my hair and still pretty dry and damaged and the roots are thin and damaged. Which is super ironic considering that my hairdresser gave me about a 20 minutes lecture of what I was doing wrong that was drying out my hair. I was originally going to go back and give them a chance to fix the cut, but after realizing the true damage that was done with the color too I will not be returning. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more
