I have had some bad experiences at salons that I have paid top dollar for and I called this place after reading some reviews and made an appointment . When I got there, I was a little hesitant because the place was a little dated, but I took a chance anyway because the reviews were good. I was greeted immediately and seen promptly, mind you I was an hour late, and they were still gracious enough to see me. My stylist was Alexandria, she listened to what I wanted, was patient and professional. You should always leave the salon feeling confident and like a new you, and that's exactly what she delivered! I have never felt the need to rate a hair place, since most of them are the same. But today was ridiculous. I have a child that refuses to take care of his hair (literally, in the past month used about as much shampoo and should have in 2 days, since he claims to "forget" to use shampoo, despite being 14)... So, the solution we do, is get his head shaved at about a 2 (not a 1 or completely shaved) and warm him about it that if he doesn't wash his hair properly, we'll have it shaved again. Usually there is no issue, especially when I explain why, and they usually have a talk with him about taking care of his hair, etc. But the lady today tried to argue with me and wanted to use a 2 on the sides and a 6 on top, despite me saying what we needed done Then when he was in the chair, she tried to convince him to let her use a 6, as well, but he just said "just use a 2". Then she asked him if he wanted a shampoo... Not the parent that's paying for it (I might have said "yes" but didn't get asked), which added a couple of dollars to the total. Before he started refusing to wash it properly, I would even tell him it's his call since it's his hair, what he wanted, when he was very young, and only changed that because got tired of his hair always being knotted up and overall looking homeless read more

Had an AMAZING experience! Here is a short story of my hair nightmare and hopefully I am not the only one out there that has been through this. Lol !! I started searching YouTube may I say more lol and thought to myself "oh I can do that myself " and that is when my hair NIGHTMARE started ! I ended up with dry , damaged , and multicolored hair :( I didn't know what to do, I was so embarrassed, so scared that I thought I had to cut my hair short, until I went to go see Sami at Fantastic Sams and she took a look at my hair and made me feel that everything was going to be ok, she explained in detail what we needed to do and then set me up an appointment and after that appointment my hair looks AMAZING!! When I say AMAZING I am not kidding, my hair has not ever look so healthy and so beautiful. And I have been to a lot of salons in my lifetime. I never felt so humiliated and taken advantage of in my life! My appt was 9/19/20 (my birthday) and here it is 10/6 and it's still on my mind. When I arrived my greeting was a can I help you with a frown from the manager (Bonnie). She had a lady by the name Pat start my services which was a root touch-up. Anyway, she sectioned my hair off then left to the back to mix my color. While she was gone here come Bonnie again asking me if I wanted a quote of the services I was receiving today (as if I didn't schedule my appt) and said that Pat told her I wanted to know. So after my color was laid, Bonnie came again to tell me she's more experienced and will take over doing my hair for Pat after she wash my color out. Great job on my shampoo Pat! Bonnie later butcher my hair cut and I practically had to show her how to flat my hair which she still couldn't get straight due to the cheap flatirons she used and later charged me an extra $10 ffot the flat iron. Unprofessional, possibly contagious, rude and very close to ripping you bald. Dont visit if you have a tender head. I wish I could give negative stars I went in with my mother and listened as the associate yelled at the little boy whose hair she was cutting and honestly that should have been my red flag to leave. The Manager who cut my hair questioned me and lectured me about how ragged my hair looked since its been nearly a year since Id seen a professional. Then the Manager shut down and locked us in the building even though they didnt close for another 15 mins. The Manager and the associate did not like each and proceeded to argue and make passive agressive comments to each other making it highly uncomfortable. Plus the Manager went to the back of the building to hack up a lung and the associate said she had tuberculosis at first then that she had bronchitis either way contagious! I can only guess what the fuck we have been exposed too! read more

I had an appointment for 2 o'clock with Bonnie she never showed up so I had somebody completely different end up doing my hair after I was already waiting there for about 20 to 30 minutes after my appointment time. I wanted highlights and I completely did not get what I asked for I did not catch the ladys name that ended up doing my hair she was supposed to leave at 2 but she ended up staying and finished my hair at around five so I tipped her $30 because I felt bad. But I completely did not get the outcome I wanted on my hair and I am extremely dissatisfied after paying so much money. read more

I had to pick whether I was going to get my hair done or get my nails done. I really needed both done but with only one evening left I was forced to choose. Clearly I chose my hair over my nails. I have been to this salon once before because it was referred to me by my sister, who lives pretty close by. I went and met with Sunny. It was actually a really great experience and I was really glad I finally found a place to get my hair done. I, although, do not live close by!! So it's a true commitment to drive an hour to fort worth just to come to this little salon but I was willing to do so because I was so happy with it. I work in Addison and I drove OVER AN HOUR in Wednesday evening rush hour to come get my hair done. When I finally arrived at the salon, I was told to sit and wait...so I did. I waited about 20 mins before someone actually asked what I needed done. When I told her I needed a trim and color she quickly stopped me and told me they don't do colors after 6pm because they close at 8!!!!! Then she went on to ask if I still wanted the trim!!!! Are you serious!!! No I don't want a trim and No I won't be coming back! I drove an hour back home with my hair not done and by this time it was too late to get my nails done either. They did a terrible of curling my hair. The hairdresser didn't know what she was doing, I have naturally curly hair so she blow dried it like usual and it was frizzy so she proceeded to flat iron it completely straight then tried to curl it. Needless to say the curls did not hold! read more

I have long thick hair and I work on the road so I have to be very careful who I go to to get a cut & weave. A friend of mine had used and recommended Amanda. I really liked what she did with my friends hair so I went in met Amanda and decided to give her a try. She was/is Awesome!!! Love the weave, color and excellent cut. Amanda knows her stuff and is very talented. She was able to get me the look I've been searching for and I didn't have to say much. You know how it is if you're hair's not right! The girl never stopped complaining about her boyfriend or that her shears weren't sharp oh and on top of it all completely destroyed my hair didn't give me what I asked for. I will never go back or recommend them! She didn't even know the prices had to keep calling the owner. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE IF YOU WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! My husband has had his hair cut here twice. And twice now, he has been ignored and skipped over, while people who came in after him and without reservations were called up for their haircuts before him! This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS and some of THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE either one of us has ever received! He only had one person waiting before him today, with three employees cutting hair, and had to wait THIRTY minutes to get his hair cut, because two others who came in after him were seated first while he was ignored! A very bad experience. I have been going here for a few years off and on, all other stylists I had were great. However, I went in on this friday evening, specifically expressed what I wanted, take off an inch -1 1/2, then I wanted layers to lighten and thin it out because it gets heavy and gives me headaches. walked out with hair WAY shorter than I have had since my childhood. and cried after leaving, and for a half an hour after getting home. If? I ever go back I will NEVER use this particular stylist AGAIN. read more

If I could give this no stars, I would. First, I walked in to see if anyone was available and there was someone available up until I stated I was needing a cut. She all of a sudden got "busy" so I had to wait about 5 mins for the other stylist to take care of me. No big deal. Everything went wrong as soon as the stylist called my name to her chair. To start off, there was hair all over the chair from the previous person. She didn't bother to clean it or at least dust it off. I did what I could with my cardigan to wipe it off (easy to wash at home) but then when she went and got the cape for me, the cape was even dirtier and he hair and fresh dye ALL OVER IT. I commented on that and the stylist just laughed and continued her conversation with her other guest who was doing color. The whole time I was there my stylist was talking to the other clients and not once asked how I wanted my hair, she just kept cutting. My hair was already layered and I was looking for a simple trim but she cut off a decent amount and got rid of the layers leaving my hair one even length and looking a little crooked. My husband had to even it out a little at home. Other times I've been, it's been a good experience but this time ruined it for me. I will not be going back to this location! read more

The salon manager even spent time with me while I decided on hair coloring. Sunny did a great job on my haircut, and even taught me tips for doing my own hair.
