They work on a level system 1-5. 5 being stylists with the most experience. My stylist was Delilah. She was great, came in, sat down we talked about what I wanted done, & we re-went over the price, it was the same as I was told on the phone. She gave me a wash, cut & blow dry/style. She is a level 4 stylist. Total cost $100 not including tip. They do not work on commission for products so, she didn't try & sell me anything. Update 6/6/18 What a difference a year made! I called in today to inquire about scheduling an appointment to tone my hair. It was supposed to be an easy in and out procedure. I explained I had just reinstalled my extensions and have an important booking for a commercial tomorrow with one of the worlds most known cell phone providers. I had my consultation with Bethany -bless her heart- she is so sweet- and she examined my hair, explained what we would do easy as pie. After she applied the toner she relayed me to Another stylist washed my hair clean of the toner and well, something else. She somehow managed to matt my extensions on the left side of head. At first the third stylist who was in charge of drying my hair tried her best to get to knots out and I helped out. We managed to get some of the extensions untangled but that left spot was unbelievable guys, please look at the picture. The lady that washed my hair came over and was using the de tangling brush so roughly that she pulled my scalp multiple occasions and I put my hand to my scalp to try to avoid the pain of all the pulling - she didn't care. She kept doing it. I told her that I didn't want to be negative but i really didn't believe that we could realistically save my extensions. Then the owner came over and tried to untangle it for 15 min. Horrible. Never once was she apologetic about it. In the contrary, she laughed at various points during her visit. I was crying at this point and told her I just feel so much pressure and I'm so upset. She finally came up with the brilliant idea of taking it off which sounded fine to me until she brought out a RAZOR BLADE and made cuts on The extension weft. I'm 100% that there's a lot of my hair in the extensions she cut. She then walked away and left miss bailey who was also super nice during this whole situation to blow dry my hair. The owner returned with glue in extensions and tape in. I told her I didn't want that method because it's more damaging and she left. She didn't even offer an apology or say, ok well I'm truly sorry and embarrassed this happened please let me know how much your extensions cost etc etc NOTHING. She WALKED OFF and never returned. . I asked what the plan was and no one ever came back to my chair. Finally I got up and asked what was going on and the lady at the front said "we're not charging you the service " EXCUSE ME? At this point guys honestly I had a nervous breakdown. I screamed at her demanding my money for my extensions and the installment.These extensions are over more than $1000+ and from my visit to Prime Hair Concepts (READ REVIEWS) and my reinstallment was at Endless extensions here in Dallas. They flat out said I was overreacting and they threatened me, they kicked me out of their business and called the cops. I refused to leave until the officers arrived and explain the situation to them the officer asked me "but did you tell them you were going to kill them or throw punches?" NO. I told them to please check the cameras. I explained who I am, they checked my license and my plates. I yelled. Yes. It was out of control. Yes. Do I regret it? Yes. But people: 3 officers where dispatched to the salon for me for demanding my money. They pulled my hair. They pulled it hard and hurt my scalp. They threw me a check for $750 that im scared will be stopped and i told the officers that as well they took a note to that added it to the police report and recommended to take a picture of it. That amount Barely covers the hair and the re installment, obviously not the flights or hotel back in to Los Ángeles. I This salon is trash for handling the situation this way and for humiliating me for the damage they caused. Not just my hair but emotionally and mentally. - update on 6/7/18 Followed up with a doctor about what happened to me yesterday and why i yelled at the top of my lungs. These horrible people caused me to go into a panic attack after being kicked out, laughed at and hurt my head. I cried silently and consistently for more than an hour without anyone being nice or apologetic about it, while they pulled and tugged ROUGHLY on my scalp. When I was told they just wouldn't charge me for the service I went into hysteria. How sad that someone can treat people worse than dogs and get away with it. I plan to share this with everyone possible, Including my fan base. --- My Mom had rotator cuff surgery and is in recovery. She cannot wash her hair and has had a really hard time letting me help her with it. I called Goldwaves to see if I had any luck for a same day Shampoo and Blow out and they took care of us with so much kindness and pampering. It makes me so happy to recommend not only great quality hair services but SUPERIOR customer service from initial booking phone call to checkout. Thank you! read more

Yet another great yelp find! I need my hair and make up done for engagement pictures and my go to person wasn't available. I kept putting it off because I was so nervous to go to someone else but I decided to reach out to Goldwaves with their great reviews and pictures. I was given Whitley who did a fabulous job. She was so sweet and listened to all of my requests and really tried to make it individual to me. When I told her I was scared my hair would fall out of the blow out with the wind, she loaded it up with products and hair sprayed it but it felt and looked so natural. Miracle worker on my thin straight hair! For my make up she went outside the box by not going with the supernatural make up look and I was so glad. Apparently I'm the only person who was disappointed in this salon. It took 2.5 hours for my color after being booked for 90 minutes, so I got bumped to a different stylist than planned for my cut. I asked for a trim, and felt like I had too much cut off, after I said I was growing it out. Not only that, it is UNEVEN in the front. 3.5 hours and an inch of hair I can never get back...it's also basically orange now. She always does such a great job cutting my hair and does well figuring out what I'm looking for. I've gone through about 3 different styles with Bethany and she's given me what I wanted every time. This salon is awesome! I went looking for a new salon because I'm getting married and moving to Fort Worth. They did my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures and it turned out absolutely perfect! I would have went to them for my wedding hair and makeup, but I'm getting married in California. I have gone to them a few times after for haircuts and eyebrow waxes and was impressed. The prices are average salon prices but you can get points for prebooking your next appointment and get free stuff. They even gave me a welcome bag with some good samples for my first visit. All the ladies there have been really sweet and welcoming. They have fruit infused water for their guests and show you around the salon your first time. I absolutely love this place! I went in initially for extensions but since my hair loss was so extreme they said I'd rather better with a top piece. I didn't feel any shame or uncomfortable by any of the staff, which I was worried about with such low self esteem from the hair loss. Kind of rude at the front desk. The large woman with short hair always speaks to me in a very condescending voice, which I don't appreciate. Other than that the salon is itself is nicely kept and modern styled, if that matters for you. The stylist I had was super sweet to me, but kind of overpriced for just a simple haircut as I ended up paying around $100 after the 35 mins it took to complete the cut. My best friend had been urging me for years to "go to Boston" - her colorist at Goldwaves. I went for ombre color and ended up looking like I'd let my roots grow out for a year. My hair from below the ears down was orange (after she "fixed" it) and super damaged. I had to cover this fiasco with ammonia-free color myself until I went elsewhere to have it corrected. I will definitely be back. I went for the first time on a Saturday, their slowest day, and there was still a pretty big crew. This business is clearly successful and attracts its clients back. They have lots of hair and make-up products to browse. As for the haircut, my stylist did a great job. Goldwaves is absolutely wonderful and is a hidden gem! I'm very cautious and paranoid about who I let work with my hair. I've been going to the same hairstylist in my hometown since I was four, and once I moved to Fort Worth I was very nervous about letting someone new do my hair after hearing about friends who have had hair disasters! I went to the salon on the recommendation of my roommates and some of my friends. It's in an old house that was renovated into a salon. The staff is incredibly friendly and accomidating. The room where the reception desk is located has a ton of beauty products to browse while you wait, and there is also a room in the back of salon that they use as a waiting room that has more beauty products, makeup, and other cool gift type items. I had two different people work on my hair (one for color and one for the cut) and they were both wonderful! They were attentive and paid attention to my requests. While I was getting my hair done, some of the other people that work in the salon brought around trays of fresh lemonade and fruit slushes. It was a wonderful, enjoyable experience and I left with highlights and a fantastic cut for a very reasonable price! I've had a ton of compliments on my hair since my first visit and will definitely be going back! read more

I've been three times now and the staff is very friendly. My last experience has been my favorite thus far, so I just had to write a review. Brittany was very attentive to what I was comfortable with, ie: keeping my hair as long as possible while still getting rid of all those nasty split ends. I also like when a stylist really takes their time and doesn't seem to be rushing to see the next customer. I really love this place.... Edward is Amazing. He is so patient with me and all my questions and "oh i saw this color on pintrest". He always gracefully is able to steer me toward what looks best for me. He is also very friendly but doesn't force conversation. I always get compliments after he does my hair. Not just that day but for weeks. (I did have it cut about 4 hours ago and have recieved no fewer than 5 compliments on my hair from strangers stopping me while out running errands) I did have one incident where I gave bad direction and insisted I knew what I wanted and the color didn't turn out how I had hoped. Goldwaves staff was so incredibly sweet and immediately got me scheduled and corrected it. I found this place on Yelp and I chose it based on reviews. The only thing that kind of bummed me out is that I didn't know you had to book exactly everything you wanted when you make the appointment. Explanation- I made an appointment for all over color. When I got here the stylist asked me if I wanted a blow dry as well. I said yes and she said she would book it and someone else would be doing it. So that was sort of awkward. Next time I know I'll have to say I want all-over color, a cut, and a blowdry so that I can stick with my stylist. Other than that, this place is great. I have visited this salon twice. My first experience was 10 stars. Absolutely loved the girl who did my hair. Her name was Zarin and I highly recommend her to ANYONE. That being said, this last time I went in I needed a root touch up/partial highlight. I work a very demanding job and don't get much time off. I scheduled my appointment with anyone who could fit me in on my only day off that they would be open. Zarin spoke so highly of the salon and her coworkers I was confident I would get the same great experience a second time. Nope. I was wrong. After it was all said and done it looked like my roots on my part weren't even touched in about a 4 square inch spot right on my forehead hairline. I stated my concern and instead of trying to fix it on the spot I was met with, oh well we could squeeze you in tomorrow, when I had already stated this was literally my only day to get this done for the next two months at least. I asked if someone could fix it then and was told no. So instead I had to pay $140 for it to look like nothing was done to my hair. I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend this salon to anyone. It has been two and a half weeks since my visit. They sent me their own review to do for internal purposes and I did it thinking surely someone would call or email me back to rectify the situation and received no such communication which shows me they lack customer service skills which is extremely disappointing, especially since I loved Zarin as much as I did. I hope that no one else has the same experience that I did. Extremely frustrating and felt like I got no help from the staff or management to fix the issue. EDIT: After posting this review the owner of the salon called me and did what she could to rectify the situation. I was pleased with the way she handled it. Although I told her I didn't want a refund I just wanted my hair fixed, she insisted. I was also assured that upon my next visit I would be able to see Zarin again. Only problem is that I have a varying schedule that isn't the most predictable. I have tried to schedule appointments and haven't been able to settle on a time to be able to come back and see her, which is very upsetting but definitely not the salons fault. I appreciate the phone call and assistance in helping me to be happy with them as a salon. I hope to be able to schedule with Zarin again in the future. read more
