I came to Crow Salon for the first time about 6 years ago to cut my waist length hair into a bob. It was a wonderful experience, unfortunately I forgot who my stylist was. She was awesome! This year I moved back in town and was looking for a trim and chose one of the available stylist. The cut and service was good. Conversation was unfortunately drab for the both of us, just one of those days for the stylist I'm guessing. I left a message on their phone and one of the stylists called me back and after explainIng what I wanted she said I am your girl! Well, she was not my girl! I love to attend lots of rockabilly/psycho Billy events and I often times need help with my cut and color so that I can style my hair correctly and she has so much vision not just from what I'm taking to the event this time but what will do in the future. I always walk into any event feeling confident with she brings to my chair. To say she's a visionary is an understatement. Every time you sit down in your chair she looks completely different and so gorgeous it's something to behold. And that's something to be said for that entire salon! Finding a great hair dresser for my long hair has been a challenge. Luckily I was referred to Jayce. My hair looks beautiful after the cut and it stays looking good for 3-4 months. My past experience is stylists want to cut too much off, get it crooked, etc. Jayce is an amazing stylist and so great to hang out with her for the time as well. read more

Complete waste of time. I walk in, and they tell me to take a seat and wait an hour only to eventually tell me appointments are required. Very unprofessional establishment, more focused on chatting with each other than noticing that they are wasting a customer's day. I got my hair done by Sarah, and I specifically asked for balayage coloring on virgin hair. I provided a picture as an example of what I wanted. What was done to my hair is nothing like the photo I provided. She dyed all the way to my roots at the crown of my head, and the coloring is very inconsistent. I'm very disappointed with the results. Update: Sarah offered to correct the coloring or a refund. I opted for a refund. I was asked to take the review down as "it affects all the hardworking stylist at the salon". I am leaving the review up as the whole purpose to Yelp is to provide customer experiences including the good and the bad. In that spirit I should include that I've had many good experiences at Crow Salon. So I have changed the one star review to a three star review. read more

My first time getting color and cut at Crow & Sarah was fantastic! Not only did she check and double check my inspo pic to make sure she was matching the color I wanted, but she was so nice throughout the process! After some Yelp browsing, I chose this salon because it seemed the only one to give a decent portfolio of a variety of hairstyles, whereas many other places seem to try to sell themselves on how great they are at coloring long hair. I understand the universal appeal of gorgeous long hair, but short hair can be worth bragging about, too! These guys get it. Jacey is RAD! She trimmed and refreshed my hair that has been looking thin and dead for a while. Pre pandemic, my last haircut was 2017 (yikes). I hadn't been to a salon since my stylist moved to Temecula. I came to Crow Salon after recommendations from many friends. Jacey knew exactly what to do with my hair. She cleaned up my ends, talked me out of bangs, (that's how I know she's legit), and I'll be seeing her again in 6 months. Thanks Jacey! I loved all the art work and Jacey explained she normally has more however took it all down when the neighborhood boarded up the windows due to the La Mesa riots and looting. Ultimately I paid $230 to have my hair destroyed. I have so many copper/blonde spots that I refuse to wear my hair down. It's hideous. It's embarrassing. I'm going to have to pay another god knows how much money to have it fixed, along with doing more damage to my hair. I've had my hair blonde for YEARS by the way, so I'm not sure what went wrong with the toning or bleach or in general what went wrong here, but my hair is a horrid mess. ***UPDATE: I didn't want to name who did my hair but since she was rude when I asked for a refund, I will say now it was DEBBIE. The owner Jacey was of no help either in resolving the situation, she took the stylist's side. Also I included some screenshots to show Crow Salon's great customer service.*** If you read a previous review from a few a months ago, you'll see she messed up another girl's ash blonde hair too. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SAVE YOUR HAIR/MONEY/TIME BY AVOIDING THIS WOMAN AND SALON!! ***ANOTHER UPDATE TO REPLY TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: I was advised it might not come out as light, not that it would come out with blotches everywhere of brass/yellow/black/grey. Furthermore, I called the salon the following week and didn't get a response right away. Why would it matter if it was 2 weeks later anyway? It wasn't like it was a month, or 2 months, and also it's Christmas time and I'm working overtime. That being said, I never agreed to come back. I didn't trust her to get it right a second time, especially since in a yelp review, she did the same thing to someone else and couldn't get HER hair right the second time. So basically you're saying it's MY fault that YOUR stylist messed up my hair, horribly. Got it. It would be fine if it wasn't as light but it was at least ONE color, but it's not. I have come here for multiple requests and gone to two different ladies (Erica and Jo) and been nothing but happy every time. Erica is one of the few people I trust to do my fade/short cuts because she has barber experience and isn't scared to do short cuts. I find that sometimes other stylists that strictly work on long(er) hair - they tend to be a little hesitant or not as precise with the fade, undercut or texturing. She is so sweet, always a good balance of friendly but focused, and understands what I am looking to achieve. I have buzzed my hair and everything short in between (including Mohawks and pixies) and it is never a question of if I will get what I am looking for when I come in. Jo had the undertaking of perming my short hair - and did so with patience in explaining the process, and attentiveness to what I wanted. I feel certain that if she felt it wouldn't have worked for me (mostly because of the length of my hair) she would have let me know and guided me to either wait or choose another, sound option for growing out in the meantime. She was understanding, attentive and friendly. The shop itself is super cute. Very fun aesthetically and located just off of a Main Street area, so it's easy to find, safe to get to, and has lots of street parking around for free. The shop is more "boutique" than chain - so they only have two sinks to rinse and wash, so sometimes you have to wait a couple minutes, but that's never been an issue for me. Each of the ladies has always been so fun and friendly, from the stylists to the front desk. They offer water/coffee/etc and are hospitable/welcoming even when it's a first time visit. I always felt cared for and that they want to make my vision come to life, without letting me jump into something I might otherwise regret or truly wouldn't work well with my color/type of hair. read more
