Diana is amazing-she takes the time to really listen to me and what I want. The very few times I haven't been able to see Diana any of the stylists I have seen have been wonderful! And, my mom is now a new customer at Lux and she couldn't be happier with her stylist Abigail. The vibe is very laid back-not stuffy or snobby at all. Lacy styles my CURLY hair, and I'm a borderline groupie for her :-) She listens to my ideas and concerns and always sends me on my way with perfect hair that I can easily style myself. I have been a client here for years (10 years I would guess). I've always seen Jennifer and she is amazing! I would have a hard time finding someone better! Everyone here is very friendly and they always make sure you are comfortable. They offer you refreshments while you wait and they have nice waiting areas to enjoy while you are processing. I've brought my young daughter with me on a few occasions (she's 4 now) and everyone bends over backwards to accommodate both Mom and young child. This is EXTREMELY appreciated! Paige was so helpful and super responsive during my scheduling of each of the 3 services I received there in the last month! The salon is super clean, trendy, high-fashion and stocked well with amazing high quality products that I have already tried and love (they gave me lots of samples!). I've been seeing Diana for color for several months. She does a wonderful job - making sure to fully cover grays and meticulously removes all dye from my hairline. Dark dye and fair skin - tough combination! I have curly hair and have been anxious about a cut. We discussed dry cutting several times until I was comfortable. I went in yesterday and all my fears were laid to rest. She did a wonderful job removing dry ends and cleaning up long layers. My hair looks so much healthier and I am very pleased. read more

I am beyond disappointed with my first experience here. I am so embarrassed to say that I fell for the positive reviews. Went in on Friday to get a lighter base and all over brightness. I wondered why the process was so long and why everything was done in individual steps and the consult was 20+ minutes. I'll tell you why: they don't tell you but they charge by the hour! This place is absolutely phenominal... After YEARS of bad haircuts, I took a chance.... The first day that I walked into the salon I knew I wouldn't have my hair cut by anyone else. A friend of mine recommended the place to me- she had curly hair, and it always looked amazing. While you are waiting, they offer you and your company coffee, soda or water. They are kind and cheerful... and you can tell that all of them love their jobs. FOR GIRLS OR GUYS WITH CURLY HAIR... Lacy is amazing... and I won't let any other person touch my hair with a pair of scissors. EVERY TIME I go in, she does a great job. When my hair was down to my lower back, she had a layered cut for that. When I wanted it mid-length, she had something great in mind. When I chopped it all off last January, she had a cut for that, and once again, now that I am growing out my hair, she has the perfect adaption and plan for what I want to do with it next time. Point here is that I have never felt more sexy and my hair has never looked better than after a haircut from Lacy. I have now recommended over 5 curly-haired people to Lacy, and ALL of them LOVE their cuts... She is a total gem. Highly recommended... ***All I can think is if only I could turn back time. Had I known that a $300+ color/highlights would cause me so much grief I would have never made the choice to darken the door of this salon. I wish I could leave a good review but can't. I went in for a cut. It's was ok so I scheduled an appointment for a color/highlights and lowlights. I explained more than once my hair pulls brassy undertones and I wanted a cool color. The results were far from what I expected. It was definitely not a cool tone and all I saw was brass! The girl had me come back for her to "fix". Needless to say I didn't see much of an improvement. The owner did call me and tell me that they could fix it. I had a hard time going back to a place that I know is thinking, "this lady is crazy!". As the days have creeped by I have seen my hair go from bad, in my opinion, to worse! I messaged asking if there was some type of toner I could use. I received no response. I leave very few bad reviews but considering the hundreds of dollars I have spent and how much I HATE my hair I decided to put it out there. Will I go back? NO! I will make the 3 hour drive to my previous stylist and pay half of the money!!! read more

After endless searching for a stylist that was skilled in cutting curly hair, I finally found Lacy at Lux Machine. Beyond being the best stylist that has ever cut my hair, she was extremely kind and comforting. She discussed with me what I was aiming for and put me right at ease; after having had the same stylist for 10 years- this was important!! Just a note for fellow curly heads searching for a stylist- I have very long, very think, unruly curly hair and have had several hair dressers inform me that it is quite difficult to cut, so when Lacy began her magic on my hair (and without any regard as to how difficult it is to style) I knew I was in the best hands! To attest how wonderful she is- she's asked me to come back in a week just so she can have the chance to dry cut any extra ends once my curls have had time to adjust from the cut. Trust me, she is great! The salon itself is like a hidden gem! From the first phone call to the end of my appointment, I could tell how great and sweet the entire staff was. I had a great experience here! Finding myself in the market for a new stylist (for the first time in 15 years), I booked an appointment with Skipper after doing some internet research. My first impression was immediately positive. I had a thorough consult with Skipper before she got started on my hair. She is a real professional and did a beautiful job on my cut & highlights. There were special touches too, like the cappuccino she graciously made for me while I waited for my hair to process. Lux has a really nice customer lounge where you can just sit back and relax! The entire salon is well-organized and inviting for such a relatively small space. They carry Davines and Kevin.Murphy products, which are both great lines. Very personable and extremely sweet. She will for sure be doing my hair for our engagement shoot. She does beautiful work. The entire staff was courteous and helpful. I love that I can show her a picture and she can use it as inspiration when she does her work. Abbie has dyed and styled my hair twice now. She transformed my look! I asked for a short length with highlights and had it slightly curled. I absolutely had the best experience at Lux Machine! My stylist, Jennifer, was very knowledgable and willing to discuss my hair cut with me. I cut off about 8-10 inches and was pretty nervous about the transition. If you have curly hair, I'm sure that you have had the triangle head experience. Jennifer cut the layers underneath to avoid that. She was very sweet and know exactly what she was doing. The receptionist was very helpful as well. I was a new client and wasn't sure who to go to. She narrowed down the curly hair stylist and set me up with Jennifer. I will for sure be returning. I had a great experience.
