Susan, who cut my wife's hair, began by telling her she shouldn't have come. Rather, my wife should have gone and found Amanda, a woman who used to work there, and whom my wife had enjoyed working with before. Susan cut my wife's hair aggressively, pulling hard on her hair while scolding her about entitlement throughout, such as when my wife made an adjustment on the way Susan made the part. At one point Susan abruptly stopped the haircut and said "the artist in me can't continue - the vibe is off." My wife begged her to continue rather than leave half her hair shorter than the rest. She asked my wife's age, and then scoffed that this "is typical of millennials." I called the establishment and said I wanted to talk it through with the manager rather than write a review. He replied that "you can write whatever you want," before abruptly hanging up. They haven't picked up any further calls, yesterday or today. A haircut is supposed to make you feel good about yourself. My wife felt humiliated and insulted, and was in tears when she unbelievably had to beg Susan to continue the haircut halfway. I've never heard of a business with this kind of disdain for their customers, indifference to feedback, and arrogance. We won't ever be back, but I wish I had been there to help my wife exit the situation. I hope this helps others. read more

After leaving several messages and/or the voicemail box being "full and not accepting messages," I finally tried texting to make an appointmen, and finally received a call from Sam. He is the husband of Susan, the hairdresser, and was very curt with me when I told him how many times I tried to reach them to make an appointment. After much discussion with Susan and showing her an actual color picture of the color and highlights I wanted, she brought over a large book with color swatches and told ME to pick! I'm NOT the hairdresser! I know what I want and showed her the color in the picture, so SHE should know what color would achieve that look. After 3 hours and almost $200+, I emerged with very, very dark brown hair with lines of what looks like grey about every 3"! I think I was in shock! When I got home, I texted and said it's not even close to the warm brown with blond highlights that I showed Susan, and would they PLEASE fix it!?!. Sam called me and after a 5 minute tirade blaming me, I asked if they would fix it and he said "No!". I said, "you're kidding me?" He said "No, I not kidding you!" I hung up the phone. This guy is like a bouncer at a night club. You can never talk directly to Susan, the actual hairdresser! Now I have to go find someone who can fix their mess! For another $200+ no doubt. Yesterday I went to get my extensions taken out at Ulta and they said they couldn't take out my extensions so I went to pro image salon and don't get me wrong yes they were nice but had no idea what they were doing. The man at the front Sam came over with a wrench to help take my extensions out. The lady was very kind and knew what she was doing but Sam pulled and ripped my hair out. I saw him trying to pull down my extension and a piece of my hair was stuck in the bead and he decided just to rip it out..... I did not notice any of the bald spots until this morning when I came to work at the salon I work at in southlake and my coworkers said Grace.... you have all these bald spots. I paid 75 dollars to be in pain and bald. I called Sam back a couple minutes ago explaining what happened and he got very angry and when I asked for a refund he said I will not give you a refund you can dispute it with your bank but I'm not giving it back to you. I thought I would try some place new for a haircut to save time and money. This was a very bad idea. My barber cut my hair way way too short after I only requested that it be off my ears. Then, she kept trying to justify herself after the haircut was over rather than apologizing for taking way too much off. During the cut, she was socializing with the other hair dressers rather than paying attention to what she was doing. So, the trimmer may have just gotten away from her. I have never had my hair this short and am not happy about it. Never again. I'm going back to Floyd's. Don't risk it. read more

I went in for a trim, to keep the style layers that I had and walked out with a completely different shape and style of hair cut. My hair was styled before I left, but I am unable to mimic what the stylist did. So I couldn't tell right away the changes that were made. I have styled it the ways that I normally would and the shortest layers make a shelf over my shoulders and give the illusion of having 2 different hair cuts. They aren't blended into eachother. My stylist was a joy to chat with and I honestly felt welcomed when I walked in. Basically it is Super Cut hairstylists in a salon that are over charging! They do not listen to what you want. I went in for consultation about what I wanted.... the owner said they could do it. He calls me back to ask if I could send a picture of what I wanted and I did. He calls me back and said he had the perfect person to do it. I go in and we discuss the picture again,. He has to tell the hairstylist what colors to use and she has to coached on how to do the highlights. I realized after some color was on that she was being coached otherwise I would have left then and there! My hair came out brown with some blonde highlights and definitely not like my picture! Another hairstylist said it wasn't golden like my picture, so even she agreed it wasn't my picture! The owner basically told her to be quiet when she said that. They work hard and are willing to stay past their time in order to make sure the customer walks out looking their best. The only reason, I'm giving this 4 out of 5 stars is due to the Manager that works there. He is the Asian guy that is mentioned multiple times in reviews below this one. I just found out today that he didn't give the stylist, that took care of my hair last time I went, her complete tip that I requested him to give to her. I brought it to his attention today and his excuse is that he has to take 30% out of a tip that is more than $20 due to he needs to reported to the IRS come tax season. He has been taking money from tips that belong to his stylists, which really isn't fair. I give this Salon one star because of the owners. They steel the stylists tips and commissions as well as overcharge the customers. My stylist quoted me $100 for color before I came in. When I checked out, the owner attempted to charge me $140. I was told this is routine. They play favorites as far as assigning new customers to stylists as well. DO NOT TRUST THE OWNERS! There has been mass exodus of stylists as a result over the last few months. If I could give a rating on stylists alone, I would give 5 stars. I moved to Texas 8 months ago from New York and I'm super pick so the hardest thing for me to find was someone I trusted with my color and hair ( my previous stylist was my stylist for over 10 years) but when I finally tried Pro Image and had Mary Ellen color, cut and blow dry my hair I was absolutely in love with how she managed my thick frizzy hair and stubborn roots. She truly listens to what you are looking for, answers all your questions and helps with recommendations. I started going to see Sue and Sam about 15 years ago when i was working near by. Just a close place to get my hair cut. Ive been going back since because they treat me well and Sue always does a good job on my hair. I can get my mostly bald head cut elsewhere for less, but I go to Sue because she knows what I like and i don't have to explain it to her. The negative reviews below are amusing, one referred to the employees as a barber, you dont go to a "salon" to see a "barber" - Go to sportclips for a barber. I'm so glad I made an appointment here. I went in about two weeks ago and met with Sam and Susan. I had overgrown highlights and due to the pandemic I definitely wanted to avoid keeping up with higher maintenance hair colors. Therefore, I desperately needed and wanted a layered cut and wanted to have my hair dyed darker. I had found a photo on Yelp from a couple of years ago from Pro Image Salon. I was thrilled to find out that Susan was actually the one that had cut and colored that lady's hair. I knew my hair wouldn't look exactly the same, but at least I had a generally idea of what I wanted my hair to look like. I was so surprised to see how much hair Susan cut, yet the overall length wasn't altered too much. All in all, I love my darker hair color and layered cut. Have been coming to this salon since over 4 years. My stylist is AWESOME. However, Sam, and his wife are unethical in pricing. THey will give you a different price for every visit. I had a braziian blowout done in 2014 and was charged $200. For the SAME service a year later, I was then charged $100 more! - $300!! (WHO CHARGES $300 for a brazilian blowout??) And this time it didn't include a haircut & shampoo. So a $100 upcharge, for lesser services. Because I know his shady pricing tactics, I made him give me a price via phone and was told $200. Of course, story changed when it was time to pay.When I argued that he was being unfair and unethical, he fought it. I even have bank statements to prove the pricing that I've held onto as proof. He doesn't care. Also - found out that he wasnt giving my stylist the full tip I was leaving. TIP: When it's time to tip your stylist, GET THE CASH and hand deliver. My poor stylist! My advice - dont go here. But if you have to, get YOUR COST IN WRITING PRIOR TO SERVICE. Sytlists are awesome but I will NEVER go back. Very unethical practices here. We live in Plano & it's well worth the drive to have our hair cut by her. She takes her time, but not forever. I've never left there not liking the place. The prices are reasonable for the detailed work. The people are very nice. The place is always clean. We've never had to wait very long, even on busy days.
