Desiree is Amazing! She listens so well to what I want and helps guide me to the perfect hair cut I want. Most of the time I do not know how to describe how I like my hair and she walks me through the haircut and is so helpful! In the past, I hate going to get my haircut from hair stylist and get no feed back and update while they cut my hair. And by the time my hair cut is almost over, it's to last to tell the hair stylist to not do something. (DESIREE is so good, she communicates with you and gives you the perfect hair cut you want!) I had an AMAZING experience with Desiree! Not only is she's a heck of a stylist, she's fun, down-to-earth and easy to talk to. She has a variety of interests and can talk with you about not so usual topics. When I came to her home/salon, she sat me down and we talked about what I was wanting. She really listened to what I had to say and executed based on my wants. One thing that I loved was every time she did something (such as put foils in my hair) she explained what she was doing and why. I've been to "fancy" Dallas salons, and honestly, my experience with Desiree was better than any experience I've had in a salon. Not to mention her prices are reasonable! I paid $100 for fresh balayge, whereas I was paying $200 at salons (not including tip). Y'all I looked on Yelp to try to find a cheap salon in dallas (super difficult but I am so stingy) and found that she was affordable. By the end I payed her way more than I imagined because I WANTED TO MYSELF! She was that good. She asked what I wanted, listened, and most importantly worked on it until she decided it was PERFECT. I'ver never cared too much about my hair and now I can't imagine having it back to before (cause this is way better). Desiree has been cutting and coloring my hair for about 3 years. She was recommended by another friend and I am so glad because she's fantastic and affordable, something that is impossible to find in Dallas. She takes her time and as another reviewer said - she's a perfectionist. She gave me bangs for the first time a few years ago and I've kept them ever since because I love them, and because she *really* knows how to do bangs. Desiree has given me the worst cut I have had in more than a decade. Beware, people with naturally curly hair! Also, I question her abilities to follow directions and to respect a client's clearly expressed wishes. I even showed her a photo. I would have gladly answered questions or showed her more photos. But now that she has done something totally different from what I asked for, I will have to live with totally botched hair for at least two months while this ****** up mess grows out. read more

Desiree is awesome! I needed to get my hair done at the last minute, my current hair stylist had to cancel multiple times (granted it was for good reason) but after 2 weeks I just couldnt wait any longer because I was going out of town. I started searching and she texted me back asap, plus could fit me in that day! So stars for quick response! As for my hair, I have been getting my hair done for a long time. I like to have fun with it, its long, its short, its red, its brunette, but currently its very blonde. Literally probably the best color job I have ever had, she is a prefectionist and was the first stylist ever to correct bleeds in the dye (i have thin fine hair and this just happens when you do small highlights...which I was not aware of until she educated me!) On top of that she gave me an awesome cut! She clearly knows what she is doing, she demonstrated her knowledge just in general conversation. And thats where she gets more stars-she is super friendly. Offered me drinks and food multiple times to make sure I was comfortable. I think her doing hair out of her apt is super smart, why pay a ton to rent a space when she can save that and thus pass those savings on to me?! I am not the type to need hot towel service and 20 ladies gossiping in an over-modernized salon, I am low-maintence and just want my hair to look great. Desiree has being doing my hair for, ooh, I don't know how long, over 15 years (these days we live on opposite sides of the country/continent - so whenever we're in the same city, I always have her do my hair). She's great! Her cuts and color are fab! (She listens and makes sure she understands what you're asking for!) She always uses great products (ammonia free hair color, etc.) and is very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions, educate about product ingredients (so when you go shopping and start reading those labels - you know what to look for!), and make suggestions. *sigh* I miss having Des do my hair on a regular basis! read more
