Good haircut but offended by the sign taped to the cash register. It said "minimum $5 tip" I know it's customary to give tips for good service. If it's mandatory might as well apply it to the overall cost. What about bad haircuts, should we tip for those too? What about people who can barely afford a haircut? Is it ok to make them feel unwelcome if they can't afford the minimum. Due to that sign I will not be back to this establishment. read more

Went in for a haircut today. Asked for her to cut the front to eyebrow length and to just get the hair off of my ears on the sides. I made it clear that I didn't want skin showing on the sides. Obviously there was a misunderstanding with Mellisa because there was no hair left after she was done. After I paid 45 dollars for a scalping I noticed a sign near the door that said if you were unsatisfied you could come back within 3 days to get it fixed. Not sure how they're going to reattach my hair but we will find out. read more

The haircut with Jasmine was great. No complaints there. But the experience went downhill at checkout. I was charged an extra $6 for a "neck shave," which customer service later claimed was because Jasmine shaved my neck. That's usually included with a fade, not something that should be billed separately. The manager later called and explained the pricing: $35 for a standard cut, $41 for a regular fade, and $47 for a skin fade. That pricing structure is wild and was never clearly communicated. What should have been a $35 to $40 haircut ended up costing $47 with surprise charges. The haircut was good, but the way payment was handled ruined the experience. I won't be back. read more

I took my son here for a haircut. The $35 service included a hot towel treatment, hair cut and styling. The red hair woman that cut his hair spent about 5 minutes trimming his hair and walked him out with his hair still sopping wet. On the drive home I asked why he didn't get his hair blow dried and styled and he said she just told him he was done. We drove back and she was rude and said that wasn't part of the service. So in her mind a $35 service only includes a 5 minute trim and nothing else. She refused to style it or even blow dry it. She didn't even do a good job on the 5 minute trim. The manager stepped in and made up for the lack of service from the original woman, which is the only reason I'm even giving a 2 star review. The original woman deserves 1 star and should be sent to Great Clips. We will not be going back while she works there. read more

Terrible service. Scheduled an appointment with Phyliss and left after waiting over 30 minutes after my scheduled time. This place gives you no grace period if you are a minute late and demands a minimum 20% gratuity on all cuts to barbers. I never leave reviews but I have had too many bad experiences here. read more

Multiple times I have witnessed they do not want business. I guess the owners don't show up and a good manager they had who could do good work 3x faster than the others there left, it's a slow shop. It's a long overdue review. Went to get haircut here on Dec. 29 and greeted with beautiful smiling face name Zee. I'm very picky about my hairs, so I explain her what I want and how I want. She did amazing job. I was impressed by her work. While she was cutting my hair we had good conversation. I would definitely go back and get my haircut from Zee and would recommend her to my friends. Thought we could consistently come here for haircuts here but the customer service is just so poor. This place definitely won't last long without the proper customer service. In addition, they don't wipe or brush the excess hair off of you and don't place the tissue barrier between the salon cape and the skin. So disappointed at how quickly the experience has changed here. The only stylist that was actually kind and did good work is longer there, which says a lot. Close to house, falls a little short. I saw this place when trying out the new restaurant next door and thought I would give it a try. Venue A bit sparse compared to other concepts of similar design and business model. They will offer an adult beverage if you're inclined. There are a few misconfigured televisions playing at 480p. Vs 1080p. The manager told me the place is owned by an IT guy, as an investment. So, no excuse for the TV's to be all wonky! I don't recall if there was music playing or not. Service The service was professional. I was the only customer so the wait time was zero. The quality of the cut was middle of the road, not bad, not stellar. For us guys, it's in the details eyebrows, ears, neck. I walked out improved but not as crisp as I would prefer. Conclusion I am willing to drive a bit for a good haircut. Cool Heads is close but needs a little kick in the pants to secure my business long term. read more

Terrible service. Checked online while across the street and said 0 minute wait so I just went over. When I check in it said 30 minutes wait. I sat there for over an hour and finally left after being told it would still be another 30 minutes. Unfortunately the service here has declined dramatically and with high turnover of stylists I will not be returning. read more

Love love this barber shop! I'm a woman looking for a fade done right. I walked into the right place. The gentleman greeted me upon arrival. Forgive me for I forget his name, but he was friendly and sincere. I wanted a touch up in my fade, which he gladly did and made improvements to the style. A pleasant conversation during the cut and good suggestions as to how the style appears. The seats are comfy and the place is very rad. I love the concept to have a drink and haircut! Omg. I've been here twice. Can't recall the stylist who I saw the first time, but the second time was Clover B. The experience - had a beer, haircut, straight-razor shave with hot shaving cream and hot towels, scalp/face/neck/shoulder/arm/hand massage, and some interesting conversation. I went in with a full beard, which we took down to a Van Dyke, so all-up, this took close to 2 hours. But it was a good 2-hours. The result - The beard looked good, as did the hair. No complaints by me, or by my wife :) I'll be back. read more
