Tomato Bisque
Tiffany C.

Across the street from b patisserie, this spot serves more savory options like soups and sandwiches. There is ample seating with plentiful light through the large windows. No wait as it's usually less busy than its sister cafe. Ordered the tuna melt and the tomato soup. Delicious and filling! Would come again if in a pinch for lunch in the area.

Ham, cheese, and egg croissant was amazing... very hearty to say the least! Very generous with the eggs and layers of grilled ham. Toasted croissant. I regret not getting their chocolate chip cookie, but I thought it was too early on a Saturday morning for dessert Would not order the drip coffee again though (very bitter). A lot of empty tables on a Saturday morning (if you're looking for a place to chill).

The food was super fresh and perfect for a quick bite--you can really taste the quality of the ingredients, all fresh and likely organic. It's tucked right across the street from its bakery counterpart (THE B. Patisserie), but this spot focuses just on savory. That said, knocking off a star because the space felt pretty grimy and not well maintained, which is surprising given how recently it opened (as of May '25). Favorites were the tomato bisque--smooth, slightly sweet, and perfectly seasoned--and the porchetta sandwich, which came with a chimichurri that was chef's kiss.

Cauliflower Bahn mi

I've passed this place so many times, and now that I know how good it is, I will be back again. The sandwiches are perfect. The bread is made in house, and the selections are familiar offerings (bahn mi) with unconventional twists like cauliflower, chicken, and eggplant. While this place is known for take out, the friendly and helpful service will have you wanting to stay and enjoy whatever you order. The cookies look amazing but will have to wait until next time. Breakfast menu looked excellent.

I was looking for a place to get a quick and small meal. I went here around 4:30pm on a Saturday and there was a short wait. This restaurant is very small inside, so I guess that helped make the wait shorter. I was more in the mood for food, so I got The Gobbler sandwich. I loved all the veggies and havarti cheese mixed in this sandwich since it went well with the roast turkey slices. I tend to like Turkey sandwiches, but I didn't find much in their menu so I would like if they had a bigger variety. I'd recommend this place! The sandwich I got was good and later I found out that you can build your own sandwich, but I didn't know that when I ordered.

I was in the area and after looking at the nearby lunch options, decided to grab a sandwich here. It's a nice bright corner spot and the gentleman behind the counter took my order right away. It looks like it may not always be on the menu but I got a roasted Turkey sandwich with bacon and other fixins. The desserts looked good but I decided to skip today. I took a window seat and my sandwich was brought to my table in about 5 minutes. Despite the large workspace they have in the back, it was fairly quiet with some chill music playing. My sandwich ran about $11 which I thought was good considering the reputation I have in my head about b. Patisserie. I'd definitely return and recommend.

Tomato Bisque with Ham & Cheese
Hope M.

Stopped here on a rainy day and it was the perfect hit! We got the tomato bisque soup with ham & cheese sandwich. The tomato bisque was creamy, slightly sweet and salty. With the ham & cheese sandwich it was the perfect duo. The hand & cheese sandwich was made out of one big slice of bread and was extra cheesy. Pro tip: walk across the street and go to B. Patisserie. It's worth the wait!

Vegetarian breakfast sandwich (weekends only), substituted potato bun
Carol W.

Mom always said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and B on the Go's great vegetarian breakfast sandwich makes it special. Hint: The breakfast sandwiches are only served on weekends. I happened to be nearby, and thought I'd order the cauliflower banh mi, when another guest said the sandwiches are large. I noticed the breakfast sandwich menu and chose the vegetarian one, with a house made potato bun instead of the cheese scone. They looked so light and fluffy. My sandwich was quickly made, and the counterperson is quite nice and knowledgeable. This is a generous sandwich, and the potato bun is delicious. How could one include so many ingredients that are perfectly balanced? It's warm too! The garlic aioli is a great touch. I will return to try the other sandwiches, and on the weekend for an important breakfast. I suggest you do too!

Really solid sandwiches! Got the gobbler with spicy mayo which cones on hard bread. Interesting option to have brussel sprouts in a sandwich as well. Toasted to just the right temperature and about $12 per sandwich is great for SF pricing. Large indoor seating space too

Tuna Melt and Tomato Bisque
Bianca P.

Whenever I'm craving a tuna melt, this is the place that fills that craving. It pairs well with their tomato bisque. They have interesting can and bottled drink selections. Today they had different flavored seltzer. If I'm up for something bubbly with my food, I'm always reaching for their bottle of root beer. This place isn't as packed as their sister store, B Patisserie. Service is fast and the place is cozy. It's a great place to just sit down, grab a bite to eat and go back to exploring the city. Parking can be difficult because it's street parking, be definitely worth circling around for.

Chicken Grec salad
Brittany K.

I ordered The Grec (rotisserie chicken, tomato, cucumber, red onion, herbed yogurt) as a salad. It was fine, but underwhelming. The base was mixed greens. The chicken was mostly dark meat, and I wish it had been at least been half dark/white meat or that there was a choice.

Braised pork belly
Mikaela S.

Came here on a Saturday morning and was the best start to the day! We ordered the Braised Pork Belly and Friend Chicken sandwiches, which are weekend only specials. Both were amazing but if I had to pick one, I would've chosen the fried chicken. It came with a delicious white sausage gravy sauce that I could devour by itself. The braised pork belly was also great with a generous portion of egg. Though the sandwiches are on the moderate side, they are a great in between of satisfied but not overfull. But if you come super hungry, maybe just order two because you'll be able to try another great sandwich anyways! Can't wait to come back here!

Alma's Hot and Spicy was also a winner, as was the Giants. Kudos for having simple sandwiches with the option to make as weird and customizable as is reasonable! Definitely one of the best I've tried and just elevated the sandwich as a whole. 10/10 might have to grab two next time I'm in the city!

I got the breakfast sandwich which was delicious, and my friend ordered the turkey sandwich which they also loved. One thing to note is that they don't allow substitutions or modifications, so just be aware of that going in. It's more of a deli/grocery-style spot, so there isn't much seating, just a few tables and chairs outside. But it's super close to Dolores Park, so we usually just grab our sandwiches and head there to eat. The chocolate chip cookie was also a standout. It's more of a brown butter, dark chocolate situation, rich but really well balanced, and the perfect sweet treat after the sandwich. Since we came right before closing, they even gave us the last cookie for free, which was such a nice surprise!! The staff was friendly and made great conversation. Would definitely go back.

I got the tri tip special with garlic butter and swapped the Swiss for pepperjack. The meat was sliced thin and really tender, and the garlic butter a perfect addition. I'm not usually big on sauces, but they have a good variety of house options if that's your thing. We'll definitely be back. I was also happy to see they have another location in San Bruno.

While I didn't get selected for tickets to the PGA Masters Golf Tournament, that's not going to stop me from making pimento cheese sandwiches at home. Sandy's sells this in a cup, pint, and I believe a quart size. I got a cup ($9) of their pimento cheese, and paired it with milk bread at home, and it was so tasty. Great texture, slightly spicy, really solid pimento cheese. A cup was enough to make 3-4 sandwiches at home. Great staple to have for a quick lunch at home. Egg salad, I got the pint ($16), this was really solid too, although I added some additional salt and pepper to taste. The pint is great for family, easily can make 5-6 sandwiches with the amount of a pint. Honestly a cup order would've been good for me. Egg salad is one of those things I don't want to make myself, so thankfully Sandy's sells theirs lol If you are looking for an affordable way to make tasty sandwiches at home, and like egg salad and pimento cheese like me, definitely worth checking out to satisfy the craving. They have them packaged up for take home, so was able to get in and out in less than a couple minutes.
