I preferred the eggs and cheese biscuit - the biscuit was absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked egg with warmed up cheese, it was flaky, warm and satisfying. I also grabbed prepackaged Cole slaw (love, love Cole slaw!) - the Cole slaw not only did not taste fresh, it was flat without tang or creaminess. Came in and was greeted by the sweetest and soft spoken cashier. She was very patient as I took some time to decide what I wanted to order (I did come close to closing -- don't kill me!). I have enjoyed this place for years but recently, for some weird reason, they allow their chips to expire for months before replacing them. I always buy them with a sandwich but have repeatedly informed employees of the expiration, and based on their response they don't seem to care. This has been happening for the last 8 months. Again, today, I see the chips expired 2 months ago and politely let the employee know. He responds "okay" with a blank stare. Weird. You're welcome. I got to wonder what else is expired behind the counter now and how much they care or replace in a timely manner. Unfortunately, I probably won't return because this reflects on the work ethic and customer service of the entire place. I hope they can remedy this for other customers. I LOVE this place Banana bread. Great baking but their banana bread is my favorite. They don't put in any nuts and it's always soft and moist. They have other items too. Weird hours - a bakery not open on Sundays - What the hell? anyway we went on a saturday on the way out of town for a couple of on the road pastries and a cup of joe for my bf. He liked the coffee a lot (4 barrell) This is some kind of place that is a "do-gooder" -- it trains people and is some kind of cooperative from what I can figure out - so you'd think the service would be SPOT ON FANTASTIC (that is to say if they are training people for other jobs, then you'd imagine that the people would actually be trained.) Service wasn't horrible just scattered and seemed medicated - if you catch what I'm saying ;) Anyway - on to the great news, they had this fantasic ham and cheese muffin thing that was terrific, it would have been a bit better if it were heated (It would be nice of them to offer that up, they did not) And we got what I thought would have been the winner - a maple bacon cinnamon roll. It was good, don't get me wrong - we ate every bite - but the ham and cheese one was the winner. The Yelp photos show some kind of Peanut butter cardamom roll and I was hoping they would have that, but the (medicated) guy at the counter said he had been there 6 months and never seen it - so don't get your heart set on it like I did. And the last thing to note was that the selection was limited - no where near the choices I would have expected of a bakery, about 10 choices total, I can remember the two I got, 2 kinds of biscuits, 1- 2 selections of scones, a plain cinnamon roll and 1 or 2 others.
