Fantastic place for coffee and food!! The entire staff is usually friendly, the food that I've tried has been wonderful (curry chicken sandwich, lox scramble (eggs were cooked EXACTLY as I ordered), BLT (if they used a truffle mayo it would be PERFECT ;), and avocado toast). Their coffee (decaf, because I can't drink regular) is GREAT!! I now buy their beans (they will grind them for you). Located right next to Duboce Park, this is a great place to spend the morning dog-watching. It comes with just a perfect amount of seasoning and feels so healthy with the assortment of nuts, fruits, and greens. It was really nice eating outside looking at people playing in the park. I got the tuna melt and I liked it. The cheese and tuna went really well together and it was very filling. When I ate it I felt like it was Batman and I was Robin because it slapped. The waiters were quite attentive. The food came out very quickly. We were at Duboce Park with our dog and as we were leaving saw Duboce Park Cafe and decided to stop in for a quick bite. They do have a sign on the door that they don't allow dogs inside, but there is plenty of seating outside the cafe and many people were dining with their dogs. Luckily I could grab a seat while my husband went in to order. Once he did, they gave him a number and they brought our food and drinks out to our table. We ordered a cream cheese bagel, a lox everything bagel, an apple cider and a macchiato. The bagels came as a build your own experience, it's not something I've experiences often when ordering bagels but it allowed me to control how much of each topping to put on and if I wanted to eat it open faced or as a sandwich. I opted for two separate open faced pieces, and I felt like the amount of toppings was perfect and that everything was high quality. My macchiato was a little bitter for my taste, but a welcome bit of caffeine since I hadn't had any yet. My husband enjoyed his cider and especially that it had a cinnamon stick in it. Stopped by this cute cafe on a lunch break :) I ordered the Turkey, Avocado, Bacon and Swiss sandwich on a baguette - this order included kettle chips! The sandwich wasn't anything out of the ordinary and is a safe and solid choice. There was mustard and mayo as well. I think pickles would also add a good flavor to the order! The portion size was also decent. The cafe was v cute with both indoors and outdoor seating and across from Duboce Park so it's perfect if you want to pick up something for a picnic. There were also a number of people working on their laptops. There were also a variety of pastries which were gluten free as well as fresh fruit smoothies. if that's something you look for. Nice corner store location.  Available outdoor sitting as well as indoor. Order and pay first, then hope to find seats, which we scored. Cubano Latte was a smooth drink, very enjoyable. Curried Chicken Sandwich was really good.  It had bacon in there to give it a smokey salty crisp, also the chopped apples had the fresh sweet crunch.  Chicken chunks in curry sauce was somewhat messy to eat cuz it would oozed out of the bread but the taste and texture was worth it. I was near Duboce Cafe and stopped for lunch. I had previously eaten here, so I was expecting fresh food as before. I ordered the chicken with chipotle aioli, with $3 extra for fruit and coffee. Coffee was ok. The sandwich was disgusting because they used OLD, re-toasted, shrunken bread that was hard to chew. The $3 extra for a cup of fruit filled only to 3/5. Beautiful cafe right on the corner across from Duboce Park. It has a sunny outdoor seating area as well as a cozy, well-lit indoor area. The coffee, smoothies, and pastries were great. All the croissants were the largest we'd ever seen. That being said, pastry options were fairly limited (but they do have vegan options). Will definitely visit again! read more

Dolores Park Café, Duboce Park Café, Precita Park Café, and Paradise Park Café have the same owner, so I was expecting the same menu of the same quality. Not so much. Couple days ago I had avocado toast at Dolores Park Cafe. Delicious. Today, 10a on a Tuesday, I'm looking at a 2 star avocado toast, if that. The toast wasn't toasted, so had to use knife & fork. Minus 1 point. Poached eggs undercooked. Minus 1 point. Bacon undercooked one side, seriously burnt on the other. Minus another point. I've been here before & enjoy many of their egg dishes, hence the 4 stars. Most of the annoying laptop village is indoors milking their latte all morning. Lively music overhead. The Deboce Breakfast Sandwich was very tasty! I think the English muffin was a bit greasy, but it seems like they're homemade or something, so I can't complain too much. The texture of the muffin is also very nice and bouncy. In addition to the sandwich we also had a green smoothie that was delicious, and their mocha was very smooth as well! In summary, all hits. This place is a pretty decent and casual neighborhood cafe with plenty of dog friendly outdoor seating. However, I do not recommend coming here if you weren't already in the neighborhood. I got the Buddha Bowl, which was overall pretty good. I enjoyed the texture of the bowl, but I wish it was just a bit more flavorful. My cappuccino was just average. It's the start of the year and I'd only spread kindness, respect and understanding in this world but my recent experience with this cafe really affected me in a negative way. I still wish this cafe all the best. I've always had wonderful experience whenever I come to Duboce Park Cafe. I'm from Berkeley but whenever I'm in the city, I'd make sure that I'd drop by Duboce Park Cafe because I only have the fondest memories of this place. This is where I had my very first date with my boyfriend (who is now my husband of 8 years). We would celebrate our anniversary here every year except last year. I've always loved this neighborhood and the cafe until yesterday, January 6, 2026 (Tuesday, around 3:10 PM), when the cashier displayed a general mean attitude towards me from the get go. I could tell because there were customers before me and she was all jolly and smiley until it was my turn. After I placed my order and gave her a decent tip, she sternly pointed the water when I asked where I could get water. I asked her if she was okay, then raised her voice again, "I'm just pointing to you where the water is!" Her entitlement didn't stop there as I heard her talk about me with the other staff, ridiculing the way I talk. She ruined what was supposed to be a wonderful experience. Mind you, this was the first day in weeks that it didn't rain. The sun was out and the neighborhood looked gorgeous but this cashier chose to be mean to a longtime customer. I've only had two bites of my pastrami sandwich as my hands started shaking. A kind staff (Caucasian beautiful young woman) came up to me and consoled me and apologized on behalf of her coworker. She said that the cashier was just having a rough day. I would normally sympathize with overworked employees but this cashier was selectively mean. I was once a server and a house cleaner and I've always have respect and sympathy for workers that make life easy for others but this cashier was selectively mean. I've always respected people no matter their social or economic status is that is why I'm so upset when the cashier disrespected me. I don't want her to lose her job. Let her realize that she couldn't be mean to people whether they're customers or not. read more

I really enjoyed everything we had from this cafe. It was a first visit and definitely will not be our last. My fiancé has recently been limited to vegan food so we were happy to find a lot of different locations in the city. They are located right across the street from a park with lots of street parking surrounding the cafe. Perfect spot if you walking by. There are some tables outside if you prefer the fresh air or the inside has ample amount of table to enjoy your food indoors. The donuts were amazingly good. Hard to believe they are vegan. So much flavor in such a small bite. Definitely recommend! I had a hot chipotle chicken sandwich that was baked perfectly. The bread had a nice crunch but not to crunchy that it was still soft to bite into. They were helpful and patient with us while we decided on what to order. Super friendly. I've been coming to Duboce Park Café for years because the food and service have usually been equally excellent. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing on two fronts. First, the vegan banh mi was bland--underseasoned vegetables with none of the brightness or punch you'd expect. If you're going to offer a banh mi, the least you could do is spare some pickling liquid. Then came the $3 upcharge for a tomato basil soup (with lentils?) that was just as dull. It didn't taste underseasoned--it tasted watered down. That brought the total to $17, adding insult to injury for a meal that lacked flavor across the board. Second, the service felt disconnected. If staff are already heading back to the bussing station and tables to refill napkins and utensils, how much harder is it to bring a to-go box when asked? I don't mind paying more, but I expect the quality and service to match. Right now, it feels like we're being charged more for less. Do better. read more

Went here for the first time, and I got a Thai iced tea and an Americano. The Thai tea was strong, which I like because some places tend to put a lot of cream and dilute it. Same for the Americano. Both had strong flavors, and there was great service. It's near a park and is a nice area to walk around, especially for people with dogs. I have been going to the Duboce Park Cafe a few times for lunch and have enjoyed the ambiance and the food and drink. I have ordered the tomato soup, which is very tasty with an "everything bagel" that includes cream cheese, cucumber, avocado, tomato and onion. They toasted the bagel perfectly and everything was fresh. It was delicious. I also have had the wheat salad with chicken, and the grilled cheese sandwich. The coffee is perfect and I love the music that they play. It is a fun experience and I enjoy it and will keep going back. Also, the staff is friendly and accommodating and keep the place clean. Used to be in the neighborhood and came here a lot for the Duboce Park sandwich. Once I relocated I would make a special trip just for this sandwich. Came today and it felt like the recipe had changed. Egg was scrambled, dry and almost fried. The sandwich was presented open faced with extra tomatoes little bit of garlic aioli and little seasoning. I asked them to remake it because the eggs were super dry which they did but it wasn't much better.
