Don Chicken Little Neck was the closest spot with the best reviews. I also noticed there's a Manhattan location, as well as several NJ locations (Ft Lee, Pal Park, Englewood, etc.), which is usually a good sign. I ordered a Soy Garlic combo (6 wings, 2 drums) + pickled radish for pick up--and yes, the aroma driving home got us salivating so much that we didn't bother reheating and just dug in. An obvious rookie mistake, but it still hit the spot. The drums were HUGE. For anyone new to Don, I highly recommend skipping wings and going straight for drumsticks (more bang for the buck). I paid for a quick delivery of 30 minutes instead of the standard time 45 minutes to 1 hour. The food arrived within 1 hour, so I was ripped off for that. The driver never contacted me to let me know that he was at my address, instead he left it in the salon. How can you make a food delivery to the wrong address and think that's okay. The hair salon has chemicals flying around and a lot of people in the shop. This is totally unacceptable. I don't know who went in the bag. I have trust issues with my food being delivered to the wrong destination. I will never, ever, ever, ever , use Door Dash again furthermore I will never order anything else from Kokio Chicken & Beer. The tom yum seafood with rice noodles was the star dish of the afternoon -- sweet, flavorful, and packed with a generous amount of seafood. Keep in mind this dish is only available on weekends. I'd come back a third time just for the tom yum soup. Service was good and the staff were attentive. Note: you order and pay at the register, and the waitress brings the food to your table.

Bonchon faces stiff competition in the Bayside area. At one time they were the only "game in town" Now there are other Chain and Mom and Pop Korean fried chicken places popping up everywhere giving them competition. The soy garlic wings are still my favorite flavor as they deliver that sweet and savory crunch. What has got me baffled is the size of the wings which have drastically shrunk. It's like that 80's movie "Honey, I shrunk the kids!" In this case, the wings! As a longtime Bonchon fan. I also question whether my fix justifies the cost as generous portion sizes are no longer the norm, but the prices have gone completely off the rails. Bonchon also decided to phase out and limit its chicken promotions. Bonchon's culinary strengths remain intact though. The double fried chicken retains its iconic crunch, and the soy garlic sauce continues to strike a perfect balance of savory and sweet. I'm afraid Bonchon's pivot toward premium pricing and away from generous promotions reflects a challenging balancing act and risks alienating it's fan base. Come on Bonchon! Do the right thing. The soy garlic flavor was perfectly balanced not overly sweet or salty and every piece tasted fresh. The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean with a relaxed atmosphere that's great for both casual dinners and hanging out with friends. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you're craving authentic Korean fried chicken with great flavor and texture, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

Also beware of the parking lot attendant whose abruptly confrontational demeanor may be alarming if you're not a native NY-er, otherwise just another rich cartoon character.
