A few weeks ago a friend ordered in, my first experience with Bellrose and with mini pies. So my next pizza crave and I headed out to check them out -- little in the way of special mention can be made as it relates to interior as takeout is the main order of business. Number 24 -- the Buffalo Chicken, ten inch mini pie did the sauce well as to spice and color, the chicken chunks were properly doused. No frills pizza place that sells 10" pies like Singa's Famous Pizza. Everyday, you can get a plain pie for free if you order two pies with a topping. (I think Singa's only offers this deal 2-3 times a week?) I always get one pie with jalapeño (or sometimes extra jalapeño!) and another pie with whatever A is in the mood for that day. They use fresh jalapeño which is awesome because they're still spicy after they come out of the oven (unlike those pizza places that use the pickled jalapeños like the chain pizza places like Pizza Hut or Dominos; blech). It takes about 10-15 minutes for them to make the pies so place an order and go food shopping at the Key Food next door or go to the liquor store around the corner and pick up some wine or something. There is a sign in the store that says you can request the crust to be extra crispy if you're eating there or less crispy if you're planning to travel with it and need to re-heat it, but I've never tried either of those options... just FYI to those who may be interested. Also, there are several tips that say they're cash only but as of 3/28, they are accepting credit cards now. read more

I often see Bellerose pizza boxes on my neighbor's trash cans but never realized how close they are. Finally got a chance to try out their food and have to say I really quite like their falafal and gyro sandwiches, I was quite surprised to see a pizza place to have such diverse menu. They gave me plenty of hummus on the side too for the sandwiches which was a nice little bonus. Their store doesn't look much though its pretty much an old style small pizza parlor and like others have said their prices aren't the most competitive. However they got a great location since it's within the Key Food parking lot and they take Seamless orders. I was in my old neighborhood and decided to get a bite to eat. Not much has changed to the location besides a few menu upgrades and an increase in prices. I ordered a sausage pie & grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing. The pie was oily but edible. I wish they would change up the sauce they use because it can really use more flavor. The grilled chicken salad was delicious but had way too much ranch dressing. The salad was drenched in dressing. I believe their dressings are homemade. The dressing is so creamy, thick & rich in flavor that I don't need much. I couldn't finish it because of this. They have a special on cheese pies. Buy two cheese pies & you get the 3rd one free. Why have I never reviewed Bellerose yet? It's always funny reading the negative reviews because people complain about the stupidest things. Yes, they're pricey and no they're not your typical pizzeria so don't expect to find the New York slice you are looking for here. Bellerose is known for their personal pie pizza pies and that's exactly what we come here for. I've definitely been here a handful of times (maybe not so much recently because I'm getting older and I can't always eat what I want anymore lol). Nonetheless we love coming to Bellerose because it never fails and I love ordering their mushroom pie because I love how they don't skimp on the mushrooms. This time around I paid the extra and added spinach and I enjoyed it very much that I will definitely be ordering that combo again. The boyfriend enjoys their ham pie (which they also don't skimp on) the most and of course he loves that we always get a free cheese pie for ordering two. It's definitely one of our go to spots in the neighborhood. I'm glad that they finally start taking card. FYI: parking lot can get crowded during peak hours. read more

I really like this place. Tasty pizzas, friendly staff, quick delivery, no problem with small/individual orders through seamless (as long as the total + tips is above $10). Other food items such as falafel are also good. They have a "special" two slices and a can soda for $5.00 Mon-Fri 11am-4pm. I find the slices "smaller" then I'm use to eating. Slices can be a little bit more crisper (my opinion). They have a parking lot, so that's not an issue. I have had better, but for $5.00, I feel it was a good deal. read more

I usually order the chicken "sandwich". It's more like a gyro/shawarma. They put chicken, lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes. It's a pretty solid choice for lunch. They give you a side of tahini with the sandwich, and if you ask for hot sauce they give you a pretty good/spicy side of that too. Another good choice here if you're ordering for 2 or more people - when you order 2 personal pizzas with a topping, they give you one regular personal pizza free. They also have a good falafel. Awesome food from here. Ordered delivery, I had heard good things about their 10" personal pies. I got a spinach pie. The pizza was delicious, and the delivery was prompt. The menu also had falafel balls, which I was very curious to try. They were a little smaller than I thought they'd be, but they were amazing. Clearly freshly made, and came with two sauces. (Their hot sauce is no joke) Definitely want their falafel again in the future, and their pizza as well. The slices seemed like it was cut in a rush, which left some slices huge and some seemed like slivers. Because I ate all this myself, it wasn't a big deal, but if this was being shared, that certainly would have sucked. That's all that's stopping me from giving it 5 stars. The food itself- high quality, delicious, I loved it. I've ordered again since I wrote this original review, the slice mishap was a one time thing. I love famous pizza time to time but was never aware of the bellerose famous pizza in flushing , figured the only one was in bellerose! Anyway, my brother picked up some grub from here, 6 pies to be specific, for 3 people. I figured that it was way too much for 3 people, but I was wrong. They make great falafels. You don't have to worry about parking since they have a nice big parking lot. Thee food Is always delicious. They have their cooking down to a science. When you ask how long anything is going to be made they always say 8 minutes. It could be 5 could be 12 but always 8 minutes. They are very organized and reasonably priced.
