Disappointing. Our waitress was fine, but we waited almost an hour for our food to be served. I realize it was a Sunday morning, but an hour is unacceptable. Just finished breakfast here and it was delicious! Very inviting atmosphere with a self serve coffee and tea station as you walk in, coffee was almost out but they get it refilled promptly. VERY cute rustic furnishings with high and low top tables and a full bar for those booze filled breakfast days. The tables were all covered in brown paper you could color on and my adult friends and I all enjoyed a game of tic tac toe! Today I chose their special of Portuguese bread stuffed with cream cheese and strawberries and rolled in corn flakes and griddles to perfection. It was light but decadent and a huge portion! My husband won the breakfast battle with the Ranchero, a cheese and chili filled quesadilla topped with scrambled eggs, sour cream and salsa over a pile of delicious hash browns. My over east eggs were PERFECTLY cooked and my brother in law loved the peppered bacon. The servers were all friendly and the service was fast. A definite must try when you're in the area. read more

This place was unlike most diners I've been to. The waitresses were wonderful, and the food was astounding. Most other diners I've gone to the food was decent, but every bite was just a blast of flavor. The bacon for example never lost its taste, the rub was very delicious. This is my favorite place to eat in Westerly. My husband and I go for breakfast or lunch -- one day we even went for both! While the wait for a table can get a little long at times, it is always worth it. Our favorites for lunch are the Oak Burger and The Popper, served with Oak Chips (hand cut potato chips) for me and onion rings for my husband. For breakfast we order the Portuguese toast, a perfectly crunchy and sweet treat dusted in powder sugar and warm maple syrup. Our favorite omelet is the North End, which combines banana peppers, basil, sausage, and provolone. Order the hash browns with the extra toppings! Delicious! I'm salivating just thinking of it. Coffee is always fresh and piping hot -- grab a cup while you wait for your table. I could go on and on but just stop reading and go now. We thought we were going to be water side with of you, so you will be disappointed if you're looking for that. However, not disappointed at all with inside the restaurant. Service was great, food was great, and nice cozy restaurant-bar atmosphere. Outside tables sit in a parking lot, so we recommend inside. We had burgers with side salads. OK I listened to all the hype on how great this place was. I could never find it open. After looking at the menu I decided to go with the soup and American burger with a side order of onion rings. The soup was corn and clam chowder which was a little better than dish water. My onion rings came and I ate two of them. The batter was awful. The burger was cooked medium and that is the way I like it. The tomatoes on the burger were cherry tomatoes - big disappointment to me. I like the sliced big tomatoes. Bottom line is if you want a burger go to McDonalds or high end go to five guys. This place is a tourist trap! read more

This was my first visit in the new location. What was once Oak Street B&B is now Dockside B&B. Love the spot (right on a marina) and absolutely love the burgers. Just as good as when if was on Oak St. We came for lunch and it was very busy but they were happy to seat us. We wanted to sit outside but thankfully the staff has given us the heads up that there were some bees out there so we stayed in. My husband & I both had burgers that were cooked perfectly. the sweet buns they use compliments the cheesy burger so very well. The homemade shoe string fries are crispy and perfect as a side. You can also get a side salad for $1.99 of you would prefer something a little lighter. We both finished our burgers and agreed we wanted to come back the next day for more! read more

I'm sad to say that I am disappointed in the turn this place has taken since the move to the marina. The service and food in the old location was incredible. Now, the service is slow, the atmosphere is loud and the food is just so so. On our last visit, the homemade chips were cold and soggy. We have been told that they serve fries during certain times of the year because the potato quality is lacking. In the old location, the chips were served year round and we never felt a difference. Now I have to say that we have been there several times and the chips were not good. The burgers continue to be amazing. There is a horrible echo in the room and it's extremely loud, especially when there are a lot of families. We are hoping all of this is corrected, because we are not eager to return. read more

Pros: Good food, good setting, clean, good menu Cons: Slow service, waitress seemed annoyed to answer question about the food. Hopefully this was isolated to this individual. I ordered the Portobello "burger", which was not impressive at all. It was what is known in the business as a "wish" sandwich. As in "I wish there was something between the bread". When it arrived, it actually just looked like a bun on the plate. I had to open it up to see that, yes there was a mushroom in there, but not much more, just a couple pieces of lettuce, or spinach. You would think they would put tomato, use a larger mushroom, something to make it like an actual sandwich. I ate it and it tasted good, but it was tiny, and as a result I had to order something else. I got the vegetarian wrap, this was also good, but this time it was a good size. I also ordered the onion rings which were very good. Bottom line: go, but don't order the portobello burger, and hopefully you don't get our waitress. read more

This place is little bit off of the beaten path but makes for a great dockside restaurant. The burgers are fantastic and they have a nice bar with plenty of drink options to choose from. Service was friendly and quick and the price is very reasonable for the portions and quality. Our first visit since the move and we were not disappointed. The services is friendly and efficient, and the menu elevates bar food to where we want it to be. I had the grilled tuna with jalapeno and bacon. Yummy. I am a sticlker on fries -- I like mine thin and double fried. Only the Ancient Mariner in Mystic and Water Street in Stonington do that around here (as far as I know) and it's pretty much a three-way tie. The menu offers options to dress them up as well, but I was happy with the basic version. The breakfast menu looks very interesting so we'll be trying that soon. The place was buzzing at about 1:30 this Saturday afternoon so we were lucky to get the last two seats at the bar. Didn't see anyone having to wait for a table though. We were sorry to see The Mermaid go, but B&B Dockside makes does this sunny marina location justice. We'll be back with our grandkids because the kid's menu is what it ought to be. read more

Got going late one morning and didn't make it in time for Christina's but, a patron leaving there suggested two other breakfast spots and B&B Dockside was one of them. We really lucked out picking this one.... The breakfast was phenomenal and the service prompt and friendly. They also have a great cup of coffee. There is ample seating room and space between tables so your dining experience is relaxed. Clean, clean, clean! Plenty of parking though, the lot is pebble stone so, if a wheelchair or rolling walker is your thing then it may be tricky to push through. If your looking for a nice place for breakfast then this is the spot to go. Everyone will be happy! 5 Stars! read more

Nomnomnom! Went here (again!) last weekend and it's always so good. Fast, delicious, and plentiful. The ONLY reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we got take out once and it wasn't very good. Burgers were undercooked, and fries had a weird taste. We weren't heading back to complain, so we just decided to stick with in-person dining. We've tried several different burgers, fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, hot dogs and more. Always delicious when we eat there. And the beer on tap is nice and cold. Hopefully the take out quality was just a one-time thing. We'll be back for sure. read more
