First the cons: No air conditioning. I was sweating by the end of my meal. Plastic utensils. Coffee served in a 16 ounce go-cup almost too hot to handle. This is a classic Small town eatery Food is always amazing - the soupy omelets and scrambles are westerly favorites I am amazed at the western egg sandwich - it's worth the ride from almost anywhere just for that one ! Went to breakfast here last Saturday for the first time and were lucky to get counter seats for three at this very small breakfast spot. Service was attentive and homey. Coffee was good. My sausage and cheese omelet was huge and served with rye toast and home fries , all were excellent. One slight miscue to me was using plastic cutlery kits, I prefer the real metal stuff. read more

The food is good but, as mentioned in other reviews, stay away if you or someone in your party isn't white. I walked in and the "hostess" had her back to me and said hello. When she turned and saw me, she turned back and then continued chatting to other customers as though I didn't exist. She then proceeded to clean tables, seat another party, and didn't say a word to me until my white boyfriend walked in and she told him she'd seat us right away. Since this is mentioned in other reviews I think it's probably real. My bf also insisted I sit in a certain seat which I was confused by- until he told me it was so I couldn't see the other patrons staring at me. Absolute worst place to go. The service was so lousy by a server named H. That's all it said on the scribble where she wrote our order. I ordered an ice water with extra ice 2 orange juices and a coffee. We get 2 plain waters no ice and 1 oj and coffee. Now if the place has no ice should she say that at the table? Then we have to tell her the drink order is wrong. She fixes it. They have no ice. No ice in a resturant???? She says we can't order for five minutes. Huh?? Meanwhile she stands at the counter drinking something and chatting. I see her then tend to other tables. FINALLY we order. I get 2 eggs OE with raisin toast and we'll done potatoes. I hat to tell her to write well done as I could see she didn't specify that. My bf orders 2 eggs SS with raisin toast potatoes and cornedbeef hash. The plates come out all screwed up. I get the hash with 3 eggs and very undercooked potatoes. My bf gets his eggs with the well done potatoes. She handed me the SS egg plate. We tell her this is wrong. She takes the plates and brings them back wrong again. My plate was thrown in front of me and was just spinning around as she just walks away. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!!!! WILL NEVER GO AGAIN!!! read more

I was really looking forward to trying this place out but the first point of contact left such an awful taste in my mouth i wouldn't dare sit down to eat.... You, tall girl who stood by the counter, seemingly a waitress by the way you were dressed, were useless! I had a party of two, we walked in and stood there, it couldn't have been any more obvious and that we were unsure of what to do, i saw you, standing there, and mouthed " how long for two" you replied "i don't know" and continued to occupy the space you stood. We walked outside and decided to wait a few.... we walked back in as we saw two counter seats open, i sought out your eye contact and asked "can we take the counter?" You replied "only one..." A. Y'all need a podium or a sign or something that addresses the wait. B. Get rid of her or tell her don't talk to the people at the door. C. Don't go there if you have black people or minorities in your group! The little sign says wait until you are seated and they just left us standing there for such an awkward time and there was empty tables. No friendly greeting, very hostile vibe, the lady that was supposed to seat us gave my wife a dirty look and walked right by us without even a hello. I guess go there if you are white. This place was fantastic! Inexpensive, solid, great breakfast. And so much food! My two sons and I just ate there before they closed for the day. The boys each had pancakes, short stack of blueberry and plain. Pancakes filled the plate- about the size of a frisbee each! I had the breakfast club- eggs, bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese. It was huge and I had a tough time finishing it (but I did!). Beware- the side of bacon is EIGHT slices! Not just a strip or two like most places. Coffee was good, hot. The ambiance in the place isn't much- it's simply the local breakfast place with dated decorations and random stuff on the walls about employees and customers. The staff was very friendly, even when we walked in at the very end of their day and ordered. The waitress was pretty and attentive. When we left the cook (owner?) came out and said good bye. Delicious breakfast! Came here with the family on the way home to NY. We all had different omelets...kielbasa (special), veggie, and standard cheese. We all thought they were delicious, fluffy and smokin hot when they came out. Don't expect any bells or whistles, this is just straight up breakfast food. Our party of 4 out-of-towners came in here on a rainy Saturday morning and luckily a spot had just opened up. It's definitely a low key place for locals so don't expect blazing fast service. That being said, our waitress Barbara was awesome. She made conversation with us and gave recommendations. I had the vegetarian frittata (pictured) and the other guys had soupy skillet, 3 alarm omelet, and the all meat omelet. I was told the soupy (a type of meat) was very tasty. We enjoyed the food so much that we came back the next morning. This time we ordered raisin bread French toast, a mint chocolate pancake, and 3 more omelets. There is no iced coffee but only one person in our group was impacted by that. The free refills of regular coffee make up for it, in my opinion. Anytime we're in Westerly we will be coming here for breakfast- you get a lot of food for your money. read more

After a second visit my husband and myself are more sold on this place, despite the fact that they were out of home fries, eh it happens. Excellent breakfast this morning and great friendly service. The french toast was wonderful. Eggs were flavorful and fluffy. Great portion sizes, you certainly won't leave hungry. The eggs were great and the hashbrowns were even better (real potatoes cooked in what tasted like olive oil). Going on a few years now, we drive about a half-hour five or six times a year and Christina's Place is always consistently good. Yesterday's skillet wasn't any different. Finally, our waitress 'Barb,' has got to be the most concientious (did I spell it right?!) server on the planet.
