Stopped by for breakfast on a late Sunday morning. They offer self-serve coffee, which was nice as well as bloody Mary's and other drinks. For breakfast, we ordered the Mexican omelette, steak omelette, and fried eggs, hash browns with nacho toppings. Everything was cooked to order and delicious. read more

This is a long overdue review. I met DK at his prior location, 87 Oak St. At the time, my fiance was looking for a location for her pan Asian shop. DK was looking to move. To make a long story short, DK established B&B Dockside at the old Mermaid, and Kate moved into 87 Oak St. DK was always a gentleman. I ate at both 87 Oak St. and B&B Dockside. It's what I call American Comfort food, and the way DK does it ...it comforts!!! Outstanding food, always great service, and a menu that makes it difficult to choose. My ex has a house in Westerly. Met our daughter who lives in Rhode Island for an early dinner here on Saturday night. Cute, casual (smallish) place right by the water. Looks pretty as you approach on the dark road - and then see lights strung up outside welcoming you. A 25 minute wait for a regular table, but we were hungry, so took the high top which was available right away. There was a steady stream of folks coming in - definitely a popular place. I'd seen that this was a breakfast & burger restaurant. Also - a full bar. Well, we wanted burgers & they were really good. Served on Portuguese sweet rolls. And very reasonably priced. Shoestring potatoes or house made chips come with the sandwiches. Or you can pay a bit more for very good ( according to our daughter) sweet potato fries. Service was slow. Took quite a while to get a food, but we weren't in a hurry. I'm sure they are experiencing the same problem as so many others with getting help. I'd come back in the summer - they have tables outside. And if I was in the area, I'd come try their breakfast. read more

It's birthday week for hubby and me. We ordered here for the burgers. I was debating which burger to order. They all are bangers. Apparently I must love the popper burger because I've uploaded photos of them at least twice! We got 2 Americans, a steak and cheese sub and the popper burger. Sandwiches don't come with a side but the burgers come with a very generous amount. We were able to divvy up all the fries and house made chips to everyone and still have a large portion. Update: more of the menu has been tried and everything is delicious, this has become one of our go to spots! The tuna melt with jalapeños and bacon was delicious and the side salads you can opt for instead of fries are just so tasty and refreshing. Burgers are super juicy and very reasonably priced. Breakfast is equally delicious. We got corned beef hash, a build your own egg scramble, and a pancake. Portions are decent and the flavors are a great way to start your day. read more

It was a lovely Friday morning and my friend put me in charge of finding an establishment for a "boozy brunch". After mulling over several menus and reviews, we decided to try B&B Dockside and I'm SO happy we did. The place instantly won me over when, upon walking in, I noticed that there was a couple at the bar enjoying what appeared to be some sort of espresso / coffee martini type of beverage at 9:45am. My eyes bulged out of my head when I caught sight of the "mosas" menu along with several other "morning approved" beverages. In the interest of not risking boring my audience, suffice to say the food, beverages, and SERVICE was incredible. Everything was absolutely divine. Goat cheese hollandaise sauce? Check! Truffle garlic dusted hash browns? Check! I cannot wait to return and try allllll of the things. Also, the view and location is beautiful. read more

As a night shift nurse, some days I get out of work at 7am and just need a cheeseburger in my life. This is my favorite spot for after work dinner! I can get a cheeseburger with a mimosa, and no one bats an eye. The food is reasonable priced, made to order, with portions that will be sure to satiate. The service is fast, friendly, and accommodating. The coffee is self serve, which for us caffeine addicts is a wonderful bonus! This spot takes a little effort to get to in Westerly, but it's totally worth it. During the late Covid stage, they appropriately enforced limited capacity, and mask wearing. The service was extra friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. Portuguese toast is like French toast, only better. Portuguese bread coated in egg and cornflakes, and served with syrup. Crunchy, soft, and sweet! I am very picky about crispy bacon, and they got it exactly right. read more

Quite the unique restaurant which specializes in Burgers and Breakfast. Their house sauce is some variation of a chipotle Mayo, and if you go there you should order it on everything. Their NY wieners are awesome Their burgers are awesome Their hand made onion rings and truffle fries are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Again, I can't recommend this enough - get the house sauce! read more
