Last class before Xmas '24

Wow, where do I start? If you're new to fitness and are looking for a combination of strength training and cardio but don't know what program to follow, are afraid of using the incorrect form/injuring yourself, and don't want to struggle w/ finding space/equipment at a gym, Bunda is a great place to go! I've made many attempts with getting into fitness throughout my life, but struggled due to a lot of health issues. I had been doing cardio only for several months, but when I saw my nutrionist in September, he told me that I had lost 7-8 lbs of muscle and to start strength training. After looking around, the owner of my nail salon suggested checking out Bunda, a new gym in Doral. I signed up for the New Client Intro Pack in that same week and after my second class, decided to go for their Unlimited Membership which was on special w/ a 3 month commitment. I have very big goals for my body and health overall, so I've gone to the gym about 6 days a week with 1 rest day since then. I love how they target different muscle groups on specific days to give the other muscle groups a rest in between. In those 3 months that I went, I got hooked and stayed a member. My fiancé even signed up and goes with me 4 out of the 6 days I go, so fellas don't shy away from coming, it's not 'just a girls gym'. The improvements I've seen in my body have blown me away. I didn't expect to gain half the strength and muscle mass that I have. And my booty has gone from a Hank Hill *ss (look it up) to an actual peach, omg. Every week, I continue to surprise myself at what I'm able to achieve and that's thanks to the support I get from all the trainers. Each one motivates me during class, provides me constant feedback on form, such as when I need to change/improve something or when I'm doing it right so I don't doubt myself, and great music to workout to. I've taken a class with every single one and they are all awesome. Amenities wise, they have lockers, showers, a recovery lab that I def use to minimize the pain of sore muscles and recover faster. They give you fresh lavender towels to dry off at the end of class. They even have treats such as colada in the mornings and other goodies. They keep you engaged and really show how much they appreciate their members and patrons. The atmosphere in class is amazing, you're in a group with other individuals and there's a certain comradery in being in it with them together that I don't get from going solo to the gym. Kaley is the general manager of the store and is so invested in your progress and well being, and that speaks volumes to me. Everyone at the front desk are super kind and welcoming. To me, this gym has been worth every penny.

I was introduced to Bünda thanks to a recent Yelp elite event they had. After that sample class, I knew I had to take advantage of the deal they had for Yelp elites and join. Yesterday I had my first full on class and I loved it! I have always liked circuit training but never have seen stairmaster incorporated. I loved that as my official first time, when I checked in, the instructor gave us a little tour and the run down of how it works and the equipment we would be using that day. The instructor was awesome. She really focused on form and was constantly going around and being encouraging. I love the detail at the end of class that they give you a cool lavender towel, it's so refreshing and nice that you don't leave all sweaty! I am super excited to see my results over the next month and to use some more of the amenities they have!

Such a good workout! The trainers are all great and encouraging! I love going before work, they have showers/lockers and all the necessities possible. It's such a good perk! The only thing is the workout room is extremely cold sometimes in the morning.

And when it comes to that workout, my Lord Jesus, Carlos did not mess around. I absolutely LOVED it! The 50 minutes goes by in no time. They also have a cold plunge and sauna and they have showers (bring your own towel). The one thing that stood out to me besides the incredible workout, was the community. Everyone was so nice and helpful and I didn't overwhelmed, but I felt supported. Carlos did a great job being observant enough to correct me when only God knows what in the world I was doing. lol! It was a really nice spot and I loved the fact that they offer a one week trial before you commit. The smoothie and snack bar was a nice treat at the end. Adrien, made me a protein shake that filled my stomach and renewed my energy. This is a place to definitely get in a workout in a warm and welcoming community. Bonus points; they're not afraid to share their faith and I absolutely love that! I love being a Christian and it was cool to see that displayed. Support local and enjoy!

First impression, Super impressed by the gym and the facility and how clean it was. So many different equipment options, couldn't wait to try some new workouts. They accommodate for all people, all shapes , sizes, and gender. They have extremely friendly staff and very knowledgeable trainers. The Check in processes needs some work but very happy with how I was greeted and showed around the gym and introduced to the other trainers in the class that evening. They have several TVs hanging around the walls showing you the next workout, if you are ever lost to look up and check the monitor, and if the trainer was around he would demonstrate it for you. To start we did about a 5-7 minute warm-up to get the blood pumping. (Great thing, can't workout on a cold start) Once the was done we jumped in to our zones. Each zone may vary between 3-4 people and they do about 3-4 rounds with short rest in between. Very normal for a High intensity interval training workout. Their workouts vary everyday and so you target different muscle groups each time. On the particular night I was involved with a heavy cardio day and light weights. I would definitely come back to this location. Reasons why it didn't get 5 Stars 1. No after workout stretch 2. No Showers 3. Music selection

Then fitness friends of mine talked about "Secret Cycling", and the "conspiracy" came together! Since I'm trying to get in shape for a certain milestone birthday - and by virtue of my work schedule and enjoying for good food find it hard to stick to clean eating - I need a high intensity workout. Secret Cycling provides it! The studio is located in the upstairs office area of a warehouse / self storage place. Decorated with motivational phrases on the wall, industrial metal joist roof and a nightclub-quality sound system, I started to sweat within the first 10 minutes of my class. The soundtrack - heavy on 80's freestyle - gets me through a grueling hour of seat jumps, 4+ gears and long drives on their LeMond spinning cycles. I've gone with two different instructors, and in their own style, both are awesome. Christy gives the class a funky, Hialeah girl happy energy, even throwing out a couple of "Dalee" and mixing in Salsa and Latin Funk. Bob (Saturday mornings) is heavier on the motivational quotes and a Yoda-like wisdom to the class (though in proper English). Classes are $5 per individual class. Awesome because you have the option of paying only for the classes you take instead of those long gym contracts where you subsidize chain gyms. However, there's also the option of paying for the month. The only reason I'm knocking off half a star is because I wish they had some later (even 7pm) classes. In any case, I'm on my second class and I love it!

Bob (the Lance Armstrong of Secret) has done a wonderful job with this place. I can almost guarantee you've never had a spinning class like this one! The bikes they use are Lemond Revmasters - my favorite! First timers: 1. Visit their website and reserve a bike. 2. When you walk in there will be a counter to your right with a binder. Look for the page with a list of names for the class you are taking. Once you find your name, grab the numbers hanging below the counter that corresponds with the one next to your name and go upstairs. 3. Pick a bike and hang your number on the front of your bike. (Look around if you don't know what I'm talking about) 4. Arrive early and let the Instructor know that it's your first time. That way you can get measured and know exactly how to adjust your bike. 3. Bring $4 for the class. That includes a towel that you will find on your bike when you arrive. 4. If you didn't bring water, there's a fridge downstairs packed with refreshments. 5. Prepare to sweat!

I never thought I would leave a negative review, but this experience definitely deserves one…read more I signed up about a month and a half ago and had no issues until this past week. During a typical workout, I was exercising alone at what turned out to be a double station. When I finished, I realized it was a shared setup. I assumed the next person would simply use the other side so I could complete my final exercise. Instead, a woman approached me in a very aggressive tone and demanded that I move so she could use the station I was on. I calmly explained that I only needed one more exercise and then the machine would be all hers. She refused and began calling me names, repeatedly saying, "You're always a bitch," while calling the trainer, Karen, over for backup. I stayed where I was because I had done nothing wrong. The woman eventually moved to the other station, but she aggressively pushed the machine in anger. I then explained to Karen that this behavior was completely out of line and that there was no reason for me to be disrespected or spoken to in such a hostile way. Unfortunately, Karen minimized the situation, saying it wasn't a big deal and that she didn't want this happening in her class. She suggested we just move on. I felt the situation was being brushed aside, possibly because she has known the other two women longer than she has known me. During my conversation with Karen, the other woman's workout partner, Tania, approached and began insulting me. I told her I was not speaking to her, and she responded, "You don't know me, you need to be careful." I perceived that as a threat. At that point, I informed Karen that I would be filing a police report. Again, she minimized the situation and told me not to do it onsite, adding, "I'm not your parent, I can't tell you what to do." When someone makes statements like that during an argument, it should not be taken lightly. As staff, Karen should have handled the situation professionally instead of dismissing it. The police came, and I filed a report. One of the women later told Karen she felt sorry for ruining her pre-Valentine's Day. Perhaps next time she should manage her anger better. The other woman stated she was a paralegal and "knows the law" as I was leaving, which felt unnecessary and intimidating. After speaking with a few friends who previously attended this gym, I felt leaving this review was important so management can improve how situations like this are handled. Later that afternoon, Karen called to inform me that my membership was being terminated because things "got out of line." I do wonder whether the other two members' accounts were also terminated. I proceed to explain this lady insulted me and called me "bitch" which Karen said is not a big deal when someone calls you that you move on. I am sorry what? I left a message for the manager, Payton, whom I met when I signed up, but I have not received a response yet but I was able to speak to wife about the situation briefly and she assure me he will get back to me. Again still no response from Payton. Based on this experience, this gym will not be getting my money again, and unfortunately, this is the review they earned.
