Sensory Pilates & Wellness - Personal Training Studio

Awesome studio! I…read morewas new to pilates when I started going here and the instructors were so patient and kind. They did their best to make sure everyone felt comfortable and they also slowed down movements so that new students could learn. The studio is very clean and well kept, even the HITT room is clean. The pilates machines seem new or extremely well kept. There is a little cubby inside the room where you can put your stuff and feel secure. Socks are a must on the pilates machines and I really appreciate that. Its super relaxing in the pilates room because the lights are low and there are accent lights on the wall. The room is on the cooler side but that's fine because once you start moving you don't even notice. The only thing I will say is that parking is a little hard there at peak times. Other than that I highly recommend checking this studio out!

It makes such a difference to work out in a beautiful & clean space - I'm actually excited on my pilates days to be able to go to the gym! I am brand new to Pilates and signed up for their intro special. $39 for 2 weeks unlimited, starting with an intro class. The staff & teachers are very kind and friendly. They offer pilates socks for $13 in case you forget your pair as it is mandatory for reformer pilates to wear anti-slip socks. I cannot stress enough how clean and beautiful everything here is. I was so happy with my 2-week trial I signed up for one of the monthly packages. I highly recommend this gym for anyone wanting to try pilates or their HIIT classes!

And when it comes to that workout, my Lord Jesus, Carlos did not mess around. I absolutely LOVED it! The 50 minutes goes by in no time. They also have a cold plunge and sauna and they have showers (bring your own towel). The one thing that stood out to me besides the incredible workout, was the community. Everyone was so nice and helpful and I didn't overwhelmed, but I felt supported. Carlos did a great job being observant enough to correct me when only God knows what in the world I was doing. lol! It was a really nice spot and I loved the fact that they offer a one week trial before you commit. The smoothie and snack bar was a nice treat at the end. Adrien, made me a protein shake that filled my stomach and renewed my energy. This is a place to definitely get in a workout in a warm and welcoming community. Bonus points; they're not afraid to share their faith and I absolutely love that! I love being a Christian and it was cool to see that displayed. Support local and enjoy!

I never thought I would leave a negative review, but this experience definitely deserves one…read more I signed up about a month and a half ago and had no issues until this past week. During a typical workout, I was exercising alone at what turned out to be a double station. When I finished, I realized it was a shared setup. I assumed the next person would simply use the other side so I could complete my final exercise. Instead, a woman approached me in a very aggressive tone and demanded that I move so she could use the station I was on. I calmly explained that I only needed one more exercise and then the machine would be all hers. She refused and began calling me names, repeatedly saying, "You're always a bitch," while calling the trainer, Karen, over for backup. I stayed where I was because I had done nothing wrong. The woman eventually moved to the other station, but she aggressively pushed the machine in anger. I then explained to Karen that this behavior was completely out of line and that there was no reason for me to be disrespected or spoken to in such a hostile way. Unfortunately, Karen minimized the situation, saying it wasn't a big deal and that she didn't want this happening in her class. She suggested we just move on. I felt the situation was being brushed aside, possibly because she has known the other two women longer than she has known me. During my conversation with Karen, the other woman's workout partner, Tania, approached and began insulting me. I told her I was not speaking to her, and she responded, "You don't know me, you need to be careful." I perceived that as a threat. At that point, I informed Karen that I would be filing a police report. Again, she minimized the situation and told me not to do it onsite, adding, "I'm not your parent, I can't tell you what to do." When someone makes statements like that during an argument, it should not be taken lightly. As staff, Karen should have handled the situation professionally instead of dismissing it. The police came, and I filed a report. One of the women later told Karen she felt sorry for ruining her pre-Valentine's Day. Perhaps next time she should manage her anger better. The other woman stated she was a paralegal and "knows the law" as I was leaving, which felt unnecessary and intimidating. After speaking with a few friends who previously attended this gym, I felt leaving this review was important so management can improve how situations like this are handled. Later that afternoon, Karen called to inform me that my membership was being terminated because things "got out of line." I do wonder whether the other two members' accounts were also terminated. I proceed to explain this lady insulted me and called me "bitch" which Karen said is not a big deal when someone calls you that you move on. I am sorry what? I left a message for the manager, Payton, whom I met when I signed up, but I have not received a response yet but I was able to speak to wife about the situation briefly and she assure me he will get back to me. Again still no response from Payton. Based on this experience, this gym will not be getting my money again, and unfortunately, this is the review they earned.

I've been here for over a month now (so I'm still a noob!), but as much as I hate dragging my butt out the door to get to my WOD (or workout of the day :D), I love the group aspect of it, being told what workout I'll be (attempting, haha) to complete, and the friendliness of everyone here. The coaches are awesome - they know who the new folks are and are always checking on you to ensure that you're doing the movements properly, and it's great to hear, "Good job, Liane! Keep going!" when I'm ready to just hit the floor and pass out from my (what feels like) millionth burpee. They also have all kinds of hours to accommodate your day. I've been to WODs as early as 6am and as late as 7pm. :) Anyway, if you've never been, try it out! :D The free class lets you have a peek into the world of CrossFit!

I can handle a lot of classes like boot camp, light-weight training, and spinning with ease. I chose to do crossfit because I wanted to try something new and challenging .... And IMT is just that. There are 101 classes that teach you proper form so you don't cause any injury to yourself. ALL the coaches are extremely knowledgable at what they do and not to mention correct you when you don't do the movements right and help you when you have questions and of course are approachable. After a month I feel stronger. I even do handstands when I thought I couldn't do it, on handstands day the coach said to me "lets try!"... Which is super encouraging! There are 10 classes M-F & 3 on Saturday so there is no excuse not to go. I feel that another yelper gave this business unfairly only 1 star when he didn't even go and use the services from this business - only made a phone call to who knows where. All the times that I have called IMT I have had my questions answered with the upmost courtesy from the women and the men who pick up the phone. And yes they do accept $115/month specials :0)

While the studio is small, there are a ton of amenities available including an infrared sauna, super high-tech massage chairs, compression equipment, and showers. The staff is very attentive. And during the workout, the coach was very encouraging. I definitely felt motivated to keep pushing myself because Stephanie provided positive encouragement and the other people working out were also very motivating. The gym uses a circuit model with 4 stations: benches, treadmills, weighted ropes, and boxing bags. Every class you can start on any of the 4 stations and every 10 minutes you shift to the next station, but there will be people at every station moving on throughout the class. Aside from the amenities, what I especially liked about this place is that the way the class is set up there is plenty of time to wipe down your station between circuits. So when you move to the next station, you're always entering a space with clean equipment. One of the things I did not love is that only some of the extra amenities are available to all membership levels. The more advanced equipment like the deep massage chairs, infrared sauna, and body scanner are only available at the more premium membership levels. Another thing I didn't love is that exercises for each station are demonstrated on a TV screen. So you kind of have to look at a TV screen to follow along. This is generally true of circuit training gyms, and is just what happens when people are moving through multiple stations but in my opinion, staring at a screen did tracks from the experience. For your first class, they will let you borrow boxing gloves for free. But it seems like for future classes you would need to rent them or have your own. This can be a little annoying to have to have specialized equipment or spend more to rent, especially because the boxing was my least favorite station. I would definitely return for a class because it was a great workout and out of the other circuit training gyms I've been to this one has stood out as a better more personalized experience.
