    Prosciutto and arugula salad

Cute little spot for an ok Italian food. It's located on a main floor, in the retail portion of a condo building across from the Bayview Village, so the parking was a bit of an issue as there were limited spots behind the building. Apparently, there is more parking in the underground garage, but I can't speak to that as I did not park underground. The stylish restaurant is laid out comfortably with a cafe section in the front and the dining section adjacent to it. There were only a handful of tables (maybe 10?), so if you're planning to visit for a weekend dinner, I would recommend making a reservation. There is also a small patio that had 3-4 tables. We dropped in with an impromptu OpenTable reservation one night and sampled various pasta dishes, Margherita pizza, a couple of salads and shared a bottle of their house red. The salads were good, but on the small side even when we upgraded them for an entree size and we were glad to have ordered 2 to share between 4 people. The Margherita pizza was ok, but my 12 yo would have preferred more cheese on it as she was getting just the crust and the sauce bites for a good portion of it. The teen appreciated the creamy chicken alfredo. The pesto & burata pasta had a good flavour base but the coldness from the burata spreading over the pasta was not my favorite way to eat it. The spaghetti and meatballs was our least favorite (last to arrive as the waiter forgot about this order) as it was something that I could have just whipped up at home. The noodles were overcooked for my preference and the dish was just meh. Their lasagna, however, was the star of the show as the soft tower of well-cooked noodles were layered with delicious meat sauce, cheese and topped with generous shavings of parmesan. Definitely right up there with one of the best lasagnas I've eaten in Toronto. We didn't love the house red which was too young for my liking, but that was just our preference. The wait staff here are friendly but forgetful, as we needed to remind him that one of our mains was missing. Also forgot to refill our water and bring out an extra setting for our group. He was apologetic and the kitchen brought out the missing pasta as fast as they could, but we were almost half way through our dinner when the last main came out. Perhaps these are just growing pains as the restaurants is still relatively new. I definitely see good potential here, but this visit was sadly lacking. I will return to try out other menu when I'm back in the area.

Finally made it to BÒN Italia Trattoria & Caffè, located in the Bayview area just across from Bayview Village. I'd passed by many times and was drawn in by its elegant cafe look--so I had to give it a try! Dine-in experience: 1. Crostini - Tasty and nicely done 2. Chicken Alfredo - Possibly more authentic in flavour, but felt ordinary and not very memorable 3. Latte al Pistacchio - Beautiful presentation, but too sweet for my taste; I prefer a more balanced coffee-to-milk ratio Takeaway visits: Croissant with Prosciutto - A favourite of mine! Delicious and something I'd happily reorder I'd love to come back to try more of the starters--they seem well-crafted and full of flavour Interior, Seating, Lighting, Pricing: Elegant and comfortable space with chic decor and a modern Italian café vibe, reasonable price for the experience, around $55 for the dishes I ordered and mentioned. However, the table for two was quite small and seating felt a little cramped between other diners--didn't feel very cozy for a date or quiet chat Overall, a pleasant place to sit, but better suited for solo visits or casual coffee catch-ups Overall Value: If you're a fan of Italian flavours and lighter fare like crostini or savoury pastries, this spot has charm. While I didn't enjoy the pistachio latte (too sweet and not enough coffee character), it might appeal to others who like dessert-style drinks. Tip: Try takeaway if you want more space, and don't miss the croissant with prosciutto! Have you been to BÒN Italia? What's your go-to order--or is there something I should try next time?

We came here for summerlicious. Food was delicious and service was friendly. Serving sizes were generous. Quite vegetarian friendly. We ordered the Frozen Burrata salad and Tomato bisque for appetizers, and the Caprese pasta and Margherita Pinsa (not Pizza but almost the same). Waiting for dessert now. All for $35 per person with the summerlicious promotion.

I was in the area looking for a cafe to grab a coffee in between running errands, and came across Bon Italia. Service was friendly, and the cafe was clean & tidy. It wasn't too busy or loud inside, which made for a great environment to do some light reading or have a conversation. My cappuccino was excellent - the espresso roast had enough body without being too bitter or acidic, and it was lovely to sip and enjoy with the complimentary small biscotto. Looking forward to my next visit to try their food!

Made a reservation and when we arrived it wasn't busy. The table reserved for two had one chair that was quite dirty and stained. Not sure why they thought this was ok for customers to use. Personally I thought it was gross that they couldn't do a quick check to make sure that the chairs were clean enough to sit on especially when it wasn't busy. Otherwise the food was alright. The burrata salad was my favourite and the spaghetti from the pesto burrata pasta wouldn't been better if it was al dente but it was fully cooked. My husband rated the pizza 7/10. Parking is moderately convenient. Worth a try but I wouldn't go back.

Only 4 reviews on Yelp? This my friends is the definititon of a hidden gem. A coworker and I made plans to meet up and we found this spot on Yelp. They have free wifi, a full menu, and all the coffee we could want so we set the plan in motion. We arrived early on a week day and easily grabbed a table near an outlet so we had plenty of juice as we worked for a few hours. The service was friendly from the jump and our server offered great recommendations on what to order. I went with their pistachio latte and a pistachio croissant. I'm a big fan of the nut so if I can enjoy it two different ways at once, I'm down. The latte was smooth and creamy and the presentation was beautiful. I loved that the cup was rimmed in pistachio crumbs, as I nibbled on them as I sipped my drink. The croissant was everything I wanted in a croissant and more. And I say that being a bit of a croissant snob. I love them and have high standards. This one was stuffed with a pistachio cream that was to die for. I'm still dreaming of it a week later. If I lived near by I would definitely be a regular. I highly suggest paying them a visit.

Me and my family went for Italian food, and it was delicious! The cappuccino was pretty inexpensive at 4.75$ and the pastas were seasoned very well. We also tried a small charcuterie board that we split together which was absolutely stunning. We requested a to-go box because me and my daughter aren't big eaters, and the servers kindly packed it away for us. The restaurant has a cozy but also modern feel to it. The colours used are bright and darker shades of red, with hints of purple. They have a smaller amount of seating so come earlier when eating in a group. Delicious!

This is a new coffee shop in the neighbourhood and we got some takeout. The staff was friendly and the shop was spacious. The pistachio croissants was flaky and tasty! The breakfast croissant didn't have much filling and looked kind of sad. Lastly the almond croissant was dry and hard.

Inside of restaurant was very cozy :) Heard this restaurant has been around over 50 years and keeping the same the interior to make their regular customers comfortable (and feels like home) We ordered daily soup, meat lover pizza, grilled fish and veal for main dish, and salad + house made tiramisu and cream brûlée (they've been keeping the same familiar recipe - and is totally delicious). Everything was so delicious and prepared with care and quality ingredients Our server was very professional and friendly. (He says he's been doing this over 20 years!) I love local restaurant like this with authentic food and good philosophy about running the business. Probably it's not just me as I saw so many (looks like regular) customers pleasantly dine-in or take-out while sitting there.

So far, we have tried "Sicilian Grilled Vegetables Salad" an "Grilled Calamari" for appetizers; "Shrimp Linguine", "Grilled Salmon", "Tuscan Chicken", "Rack of Lamb", "Spaghetti and Meatballs" and "Pepperoni Pizza" for entrée. Every dish is perfectly seasoned and cooked. You can easily taste the freshness of the ingredients and distinguish the difference from any other restaurant. The highlight of the meal is their "Homemade Tiramisu" and "Homemade Crème Brûlée" for dessert. Fresh and tasty.
