$28.95 "veal tenderloin grilled to perfection" - apparently.

Had better veal from Metro, after it has sat on the hot table since noon. What a shame, Uber eats supporting their restaurant and that's the quality/ portion I get for dinner. Will not be seeing me again.

Food was so good I forgot to take more photos!…read more We visited LaVinia last week for dinner. We ordered the grilled chorizo and ham croquettes tapas. The ham croquettes were delicious and paired with an amazing garlic aioli. The grilled chorizo was also great but the garlic aioli muted the chorizo taste unfortunately. We also had the arugula and pear salad which was topped with Stilton cheese. We really enjoyed it. For our main course, we ordered the seafood paella which was amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the mango cheesecake and lemon sorbet for dessert. The restaurant is tightly packed, intimate, and has a great atmosphere for a date night dinner or dinner with friends. The waiters were attentive and very helpful when ordered. The chef also came around near the end of our dinner to ask how our meal was.

Food: (5 stars) Tapas: - Croquetas de Iberico: Iberico Croquettes with Basil Oil - $18.95 (5 stars): My favorite thing on the menu, so creamy and tasty. - Mejillones al Vapor: Fresh Mussells Steamed in Spanish Beer - $15.75 (5 stars) My very close second favorite thing on the menu: amazing taste of the sauce. - Croquetas de Cangrejo: Crab Croquettes with a Piquillo Pepper Aioli - $17.95 (4 stars) - They were good but not as good as other things on the menu. - Calamares a la Plancha: Grilled Calamari with Chilli oil - $16.75 (4.5 stars) IT is a tad spicy, but great flavour and texture. Would recommend it. - Carpaccio de Ternera: Veal Carpaccio with Manchego and Mushrooms - $19.75 (4.5 stars) Great flavour and overlapping of the flavours. - Cazuela de Espinacas - Baked Spinach with Goat Cheese - $17.75 (4.5 stars) Very tasty and great mixture of all the flavours. Mains: All the mains are very large, definitely for more than 1 person. - Paella Valenciana: Spanish Saffron Rice with Chorizo, Chicken and Seafood - $26.75 (5 stars) the best of the main meals, the chorizo was giving it a really nice kick. - Paella de Marisco: Spanish Saffron Rice with Shrimp, Calamari, Mussels, Scallops, Monkfish and Clams $29.75 (4.5 stars) - lots of seafood, it was good a tad too runny - Arroz Verde: Scallops, Asparagus, Porcini Mushrooms, Spinach and Pesto $32.75 (3.5 stars): it was good, but too many mixed flavours, would likely not order again. Ambiance: (5 stars) They have indoor and outdoor dining. Outdoor has a thick wooden fence around it, so you do not feel like you are sitting on the street. Service: (5 stars) Very friendly staff, very attentive.

The service was attentive and quick, making the entire dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. Now, onto the food: every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! We started with the refreshing cucumber salad, which had the perfect balance of tangy and savory flavors. The cold tofu was equally impressive, bursting with umami and spice. For the main dish, I had a fragrant, hearty noodle soup with beef, packed with rich flavors and perfectly cooked noodles. The dumplings were soft, juicy, and filled with the perfect amount of flavor, and the sauces were delightful! Overall, the ambiance was cozy and modern, perfect for a casual meal with friends. I highly recommend Tumi Dumpling House for anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Chinese dishes. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's definitely worth the stop! I'll be back for sure.

The dumplings were served fresh and piping hot, which made the experience even better. Gluten-free dough is notoriously difficult to work with, so I really appreciate the effort and care that clearly goes into making these. They've done a great job. The service was also very friendly. I met Ted, who took the time to tell me more about the restaurant, which made the visit feel welcoming and personal. I'll definitely be returning to try more of the dumplings -- even the non-gluten-free options because they're just that delicious. I'm excited to see how the menu evolves. I'd love to see a dumpling dish added to the lunch specials and perhaps more filling variations for the gluten-free dumplings. Next time, I'm trying them pan-fried!

They had an awesome breakfast omelette station with a very nice chef. The options for breakfast were plentiful and some items changed every day. On our last night, we decided to try their dinner menu. I had the Seafood Fettuccine & my mom had the grilled mahi mahi. Wasn't much of a fan of the grilled mahi mahi but it was a very healthy and well-balanced dish. The seafood fettuccine I had was so good though. So creamy with hints of tomato and perfectly fused seafood flavor from the generous amounts of seafood they put in the pasta. Mussels, salmon, and shrimp is what I recall was in there. The food isn't cheap but it's what you'd expect from a hotel restaurant. The place is really spacious; tons of seating. The workers are nothing but friendly as well.

The thing that will probably draw you in is their cinnamon bun. They're very proud of it. And here's the thing - they have every right to be. It's a delicious cinnamon bun. It's not deep, but it's wide, which increases the amount of delicious inner coil, while reducing the amount of outer crust. They have a number of dairy-free pies, and will make other dairy-free options upon request. Now, a bakery having great treats is one thing, but that's an expected thing. Being committed to the community is something completely different. When I walked in, my family waiting outside, I didn't realize they were cash only. But did that keep me from the much needed cinnamon bun? No. It did not. Without payment, I left with warm cinnamon bun in hand. How did such a thing transpire? Did I distract them, and run away with glee? Indeed I did not. I was told to just come on by tomorrow and pay for it then. And, as it's always a nice walk through the Junction, I had no problem with that, whatsoever. That's the type of place you see in television shows depicting an era that never truly was. And yet, here it is. Right here. Right now. In Toronto.
