Vannesa A.

Came here late (around 10ish) so hungry from a long flight. They don't have the full dinner menu (we got the late night menu). The staff recommended our two orders and it was so good. I don't remember the name but the picture shows. The place is inside Sheraton hotel.

House Chicken Nuggets. 8

I ate breakfast here and lunch. Breakfast was eggs with hash browns and a bagel with cream cheese - really crispy grainy bagel that was great. For lunch I had the House Chicken Nuggets appetizer which were fried and had sesame seeds and maple syrup. The Indian Butter Chicken included rice and naan It was all great. Highly recommend.

This is a nice restaurant in the Sheraton - the menu is new Canadian food with some Mediterranean inspiration. The space is elegant and comfortable, if lacking in personality. My parents and I went for dinner after I flew into Toronto on Saturday evening and it was pretty quiet, which was nice. Our server was very soft-spoken and occasionally difficult to hear, but he was super polite and knowledgeable on the menu, and happy to explain anything we wanted to know more about. My dad and I started with drinks. They didn't give us a drink menu at first, but we just went back to the hostess and asked. I had a Hennessey Daiquiri and my dad a French Martini. I think he was indifferent on his drink but I quite liked mine. For food, I ordered the BBQ Tempeh, and also ended up eating a good portion of the Ontario Beets Salad that my mom ordered. The meal started off with a bread basket containing dinner rolls and a sliced bread that was speckled with what I would guess were caraway seeds. I only had the sliced bread and thought it was nice. It was only slightly warm but tasted fresh and light. The tempeh was creative and bursting with bright flavours, and also beautifully plated. I get excited when I see tempeh on a menu because I love it so much when done right but it's less common than other vegetarian proteins, and this was everything I hoped for and more. The salad was also good - the beet salad thing is pretty common but the dressing made this one stand out and the vegetables were very fresh. My parents also had the Chicken Wings and the Grilled Cheese with Broccoli Cheddar Soup and were really happy with their food. We didn't have to wait long after we ordered to get food, but the way they timed bringing out the dishes was a little odd - my dad ordered the wings intending to share it with my mom as an appetizer for both of them, but they brought out the wings and my mom's salad (which she intended to be her entree) at the same time, and my tempeh shortly after. Only after the wings were finished did the grilled cheese and soup come out for my dad, and I was basically done eating at this point. We got the Sharing Platter of Desserts, which contained small portions of each of the 3 desserts on the menu: Apple Crumble & Ice Cream, Maple Crème Brûlée with Biscotti, and Double Chocolate Bread Pudding with Anglaisie Sauce. They were all delicious! I am partial to a good bread pudding so that was probably my favourite, but all three were done well. For fine dining, the prices are okay. Don't expect the big portions that you'd get at a more casual family restaurant for the same price, but the quality and attention to detail is top-notch, even on things like the grilled cheese and wings. Although it's probably frequented by hotel guests, it's a place I'd go back to for something special if I lived in the area.

Red thai chicken curry

Big portion of food with reasonable price. Located inside the hotel lobby, came during lunch time, so not crowded at all. The peach salad was great. 3 Fish tacos as appetizers equals same size as main dish in other restaurants. So we couldn't finish our main dishes at all. Would definitely come back again.

Located inside the Sheraton Hotel close to the Toronto Intl airport, this restaurant is usually patronized by hotel guests &/or attendees of events fromthe nearby Toronto Congress Centre. But we always make it out here because its nearby Mediterranean based food with a seasonally (?) changing menu, keeps the visits interesting This time we had the lightly breaded calamari (one of their best staples), soups (red pepper (finely blended & SUPER comforting!) / lentil + chickpea), plus shrimp pasta, potato leek goat cheese pizza & vegetarian spaghetti + gluten free turtle cheesecake, donut holes & bread pudding (my most FAV among all the dishes!) Excellent service, free parking on the side

Rigatoni bolognese

A girlfriend took me here for my bday dinner. I had this place on my radar for awhile and it was close proximity to the both of us, so I decided it was finally the time to check it out. She made resos for 5pm on a weeknight, which is when they re-open for dinner. The restaurant is located immediately to the left when you walk into the Sheraton. We were basically the only ones there, besides a large group sitting in the more lounge-ish area. We were seated and bread and butter was brought out. I had read a review before coming here saying that their butter was rock hard, as in straight from the fridge. Unfortunately, this was still true *eye roll. Okay, so if 're going to serve cold hard butter, at least serve warm bread? NOPE. Bread was cold too. Please explain to me, how they really expect us to spread this butter? Annoying. Anyways, I was really hungry and just did my best with trying to spread the butter. My gf and I both ended up ordering the same thing, rigatoni bolognese. It was good! Great portion, enough to have the leftovers for lunch the next day. It had great flavour. I couldn't tell if it was a little on the salty side, or if it was the flavour of the meat. I don't know it was throwing me off, but their tomato sauce was nice thick. I love green onions, but I didn't think it went well with the sauce. Could have done without them, but I still enjoyed my meal overall. Their free dessert when you check in on Yelp is still valid, so make sure to do this! My gf and I got the tiramisu to share. It was odd looking, nothing like your typical tiramisu, but not bad. I would have preferred a classic dusting of cocoa powder, rather than all the chocolate shavings. The restaurant itself was pretty and modern. A great place to celebrate anything special. Good for big groups.

Authentic Canadian Poutine eaten In Canada

Damn fine option. Sat at the bar, served by Marco. Awesome service, laced with good conversations. The food is good enough, snacks provided, just ask. The food is better than it needs to be, and it's a great refuge from the bitter cold of Toronto in December.

Eggs Benny $21
Derek L.

Normally, an upscale hotel like the Sheraton has an pretty on-point restaurant. Olio is not knocking my socks off. I ordered the Eggs Benny for $21. The price is a bit higher than usual, but the quality was also a bit lower than I have experienced elsewhere. First, the eggs were poached perfectly. It's really easy to be either on the runny or the hard side. The peameal bacon was thin and dry. But the real letdown was the Hollandaise. Dry, overly lemony, and I'm positive it was from a powdered mix! This is a diner level of quality, but not at this price. 2 eggs, a bowl of fruit and no potatoes. I won't order this again. Service was very good, but if I'm ever back here, I'll try the buffet instead.

Hmmmm....this is your typical hotel restaurant. It's located in the Sheraton and the bar area is quite big with lots of seating. The food is a little better then hotel restaurant food but don't forget it's also pricier then you would want to pay. Most of the people here (like myself) are traveling for business so that's the kind of crowd that you would get. I can tell you that the bartender here makes pretty heavy handed drinks - so that's nice :)

Grilled Steak Sandwich W/House Salad
William C.

Located in the Sheraton hotel near the Toronto international airport in Ontario. Very delicious Grilled Steak Sandwich. Beef and the accompanying side salad everything is super fresh and delicious. The quality of the ingredients and freshness of the Sandwich and Salad match to Gordon Ramsay Burgur in Las Vegas. Superb Blue Berry Cheesecake made using Berries from Ontario. Perhaps one of the best cakes I have ever eaten. The cake melts in your mouth. Reasonably priced if you pay in CAD.

The service, food and beverage were all good. The open faced steak sandwich and fried was a good choice after a long day of airline travel.

Byblos - Chocolate Olive Oil Cake

Byblos

(987 reviews)

$$$$

Entertainment District, Downtown Core

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 4/5 Food: We had our office holiday dinner here and 15 people attended. We did a set menu which had 3 courses. The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures

Estiatorio Milos - RAW FISH PLATTER Tuna sashimi, Tsipoura sashimi, salmon tartare

The open fish market adds to the experience, and the drink selection is solid. Parking isn't the easiest (expect nearby office garages) but if you're there for a weekday dinner, they offer complimentary valet at the St. Regis, which helps. Service 5/5 Top tier. Staff are polished, attentive, and actually know the menu. Recommendations were on point, and everything felt seamless without being overbearing. It's the details that make it stand out, the attention to detail and the care when serving and presenting the food. Food 4.5/5 Went with the lunch menu (great value with an appetizer and main). Quality is consistent with what you'd expect from Milos: fresh, simple, and done properly. They're also mindful of time; if you mention you're on a tight schedule, they can accommodate a one-hour lunch without making it feel rushed. Had the salmon along with salmon tartare and the octopus. Good variety for the prix fixe lunch menu too. So far the best salmon tartare I've had in city.

If you're pressed for time, just let them know when you order - they'll plan to have you out within the hour, or they pick up the tab. I, on the other hand, was in no rush. The staff read the room, paced the meal accordingly, and let us linger comfortably. With four starters and eight mains to choose from (three with supplements), there's plenty of variety, though seafood clearly takes centre stage. I leaned fully into the sea and wasn't disappointed. The salmon tartare was surprisingly, with large chunks of fresh salmon tossed with herbs and finely minced red pepper, giving the dish a bright, meaty freshness. In the dead of winter, that first bite genuinely felt like sunshine - apologies for getting philosophical, but it really hit home. While crostini were scarce, every table receives a basket of freshly grilled bread and a wasteful pour of olive oil. Carb lovers don't worry, there's plenty to scoop up that tartare. The whole dorade royal grilled might sound exotic, but you've likely seen it elsewhere under its more familiar name: sea bream. At Milos, it arrives deboned and finished simply with olive oil, herbs, and capers. That said, if you're squeamish about bones, proceed with caution as the deboning accuracy seems to vary. My plate had only a couple stragglers, while my dining companion's fish had several lingering behind. The dish is simple, clean, and ideal for lunch, so it satisfies without tipping you into post-meal drowsiness. The steamed vegetables were overcooked, though that may appeal to those who prefer their cruciferous vegetables soft rather than crunchy. For anyone who wants to channel a bit of Don Draper energy without returning to work tipsy, Milos' 3oz lunch pours are a great idea. And if you decide to lean in just a little more, they can easily be doubled into a proper glass.

It's perhaps unfair to judge, because though I enjoyed my steak wrap (and it didn't claim to be shawarma), I didn't enjoy it as much as getting a shawarma at many other places and also spent nearly twice the amount. It was still fairly good however, and the $5 draught beer special was a good deal for sure. It was probably about 15 minutes between the time I ordered and when I got the food, so this is clearly not the place to go if you're in a rush. But I'd say the food was worth the wait. That cheese crust is the obvious star of the show here, while the fresh, soft bread is also quite delicious. The other components are tasty too, but the patty itself is the weakest link. It didn't have any kind of crust and just seemed a little on the bland side. But that's a minor complaint for a rather decadent lunch that I quite enjoyed eating.
