Still a staple restaurant in Mainstreet Unionville of Markham. Food is still great, service is still amazing, and ambiance is good. My only suggestion for this restaurant would be that they didn't have a lunch menu when I was there OR it wasn't presented to us, because I see it on their website currently. At the time when I was there, I really thought they could pivot to add a lunch menu, as not everyone wants to be paying $75-$100 for a lunch (which was my case when I went for lunch over summer time). Here's what we got between three of us during lunch: Zucchini Chips 5/5 $26 - Love this and tastes even better with some honey that we asked for on the side Arugula & Fennel Salad 4/5 $24 - Delicious and refreshing. It comes with toasted pine nuts, aged parm and citrus vinaigrette. Lamb Chops 5/5 $72 - So good and highly recco. Served with tzatziki, roasted veg and potatoes. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Lobster Tagliatelle 5/5 $58 - Delicious, with fresh lobster, bisque, cream and chives. The flavours were decadent and well balanced. Overall, still a really solid spot to check out. Definitely on the pricey side since it's in the heart of Mainstreet Unionville.

Interior aesthetic here is such a vibe. Had a resy and got seated upstairs by the window and had a nice view overlooking the outside. Our server came pretty fast to ask us if we had questions about the menu and took our drink orders. Attention here was spot on as we had water refills frequently without being asked! We ordered zucchini chips with a yogurt dip, lamb chops, and lobster tailiglate. Zucchini chips were battered and fried nicely def a good app. The lamb chops were requested to be medium rare however it seems like it was cooked more on the rare side. Had a great crust but still pretty pink inside. Would have preferred medium rare but at least the lamb didn't have any gameyness to it at all . Lobster pasta had a good amount of lobster chunks and the pasta was nice and al dente. Loved the sauce that this was tossed in as well, had a spicy kick to it and the tomato taste was very rich.

Came here for a Christmas date. We just ordered the one off menu item which was the surf and turf because we're suckers for ribeye. The steak was a massive 28oz bone-in beast (though it might've been a few oz short). It came with 3 jumbo prawns that were cooked perfectly and they came on a pan of red wine demi glaze and some mushrooms. The side was shoestring fries with some standard aioli. Service was adequate if a bit slow at times but overall a decent meal as the steak was cooked perfectly. Nothing spectacular overall and hence I feel it's a bit overpriced at $225. I may return to try their regular menu but it's mostly not my type of cuisine.

Venue 5/5 Cozy setting great for conversation with friends and family. Beautiful decor in Historic Main St., Unionville. Additionally, in the summer and warmer season there's an outdoor patio as well. It's a multifloor restaurant. Service 4/5 Staff are very attentive and insightful. They also have off the menu items that they recommended last time and seasonal menu changes. Food 4.5/5 We had an off the menu steak along with a beef tagliatelle. We had various sides and portions are good for sharing as well. Some sides included the roasted brussels sprouts.

A beautiful tapestry of a restaurant in a quaint neighbourhood serving some delicious food. I had the pleasure of having lunch at Watercolour last week after pining to go to this restaurant for a long time. It's difficult to get to due to local city construction but plow through that and don't let it stop you because this establishment delivers on all fronts. Service was exceptional, fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks goes out to Erin who went above and beyond to welcome me and help me feel comfortable. The restaurant itself is beautiful, cozy and quiet with a lot of different nooks to settle in nicely for some delicious food. Speaking of food: I ordered the lobster roll with fries and it was spectacular. A large portion of fries accompanied a roll stuffed with lobster that was succulent and so very tasty. What a lovely experience all through and through. I'll definitely be back!

We had dinner at Watercolour because my friend was always curious about it whenever she was around Unionville. It turned out to be a really solid choice. The place feels classy yet comfortable, with a bit of old school charm and a calm vibe all around. For those wondering, we sat upstairs and the noise level wasn't nearly as echoey as some reviews mentioned. Service was excellent, probably one of the best I have seen in a long time. The staff were attentive, fun, and kept things light with jokes here and there. It honestly felt like the kind of dinner experience we used to have before the pandemic. I also appreciated how seriously they took allergies, which was reassuring. For starters we shared Zucchini Chips, Baked Feta, and Octopus a la Plancha (which came with a nice hummus on the side). Mains were Lobster Paccheri and Seafood Risotto. The flavours and aromas were lively and the ingredients felt fresh and properly cooked. If I had to nitpick, the Zucchini Chips could have stayed crispier a bit longer, and the octopus could have had more of that chewy tang I remember from other versions. The risotto was on the softer side, probably to suit local preferences, but the seafood was spot on. The Lobster Paccheri was excellent, the kind of pasta dish that makes you happy to pay for it, which says a lot since pasta can often feel overpriced in many places. With this level of quality and service, I can easily see myself coming back. Two small things aside, everything else was a joy and I truly enjoyed every bit of the evening.

Took my mom there for her birthday and the food was amazing! My parents shared the surf & turf. I got their lobster tagliatelle and my husband got the short rib pappardelle. We also got the calamari, Octopus a la Plancha and an order of their bread to share. The service was nothing outstanding but they were there when we needed them to be. The restaurant ambiance itself is beautiful. Gorgeous decor and definitely feels like a high end restaurant. I took a star off the rating because the desserts were obscenely priced and very small in portion. For the two small desserts I got, we could have bought a whole cake and some!

Having just landed in Toronto--and completely forgetting it was Mother's Day --I found myself in a last-minute scramble to find a restaurant that wasn't overflowing with crowds. By some stroke of luck (or divine intervention), I stumbled upon this spot with one available seat... at the chef's table, no less! I started with the burrata and beets, and was pleasantly surprised to receive an entire burrata--rare and appreciated. The beets were delicious, though the dish as a whole was noticeably under-seasoned. I asked for salt and pepper (and silently wished for a drizzle more olive oil, but didn't want to push my luck). Then came the seafood risotto--an absolute dream. The flavor transported me straight back to the kind of risotto I had growing up in Italy--rich, layered, and perfectly balanced. Truly unmatched. The only letdown? The rice. It wasn't just al dente; it was crunchy. You could literally hear it. But the flavor was so divine, I couldn't bear to send it back for fear it might not come out the same. As for the prices--definitely on the steep side (heavily), but great flavors. 4 stars just for the almost raw rice...

Watercolour is a beautiful restaurant. As soon as you walk in you are just in awe of how beautiful the space is. Came here for an early birthday celebration for a friend. We were seated upstairs in one of the little coves, beautiful space to dine in. Service started great. We ordered the zucchini chips to start and our drinks. We also ordered our mains at the same time. I ordered the Short ribs penne and my friend ordered the Salmon. Presentation wise the food looked amazing and taste wise the food was equally as delicious. The only thing was...service. Our server never came back to check on us. I would have loved some crushed black pepper, but he never came back. Someone completely different took our dessert order, dropped it off and quickly left and well we had no forks. It took a while to flag someone down to get forks. I think what made the experience not great was the lack of service. Another thing, I'm a person that looks at the menu before going to any place. I noticed that menu online and in person were completely different. The prices were also completely different. Everything on the in person menus was 10-15 dollars more than started on the website. Completely false advertisement. Also, There is inconsistency in the items online than in person. Online it was a short rib pappardelle, in person it's penne. This is just dishonest. The pricing the difference in the menus, completely dishonest. While Watercolour might be a beautiful place all that beauty goes out the window when you your expectations and service are not there.

My brother brought me here to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The seasonal lights at the building entrance were beautifully decorated, warm and festive. The food was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented; every dish showed great care and attention to detail. The portions were perfect, and everything tasted absolutely delicious. Every staff member was incredibly friendly, always greeting us with happy, smiling faces throughout the meal. Their warm attitude made the atmosphere feel welcoming and comfortable, and they checked in at just the right moments without ever making us feel rushed. The restaurant is warm, clean, and relaxing, a lovely place to enjoy a meal with loved ones. A true gem in Unionville. Delicious food, amazing service, perfect portions, and a genuinely pleasant dining experience.

Came here for my anniversary with my bf and we had a wonderful time. We sat upstairs with the side by side seat which made it intimate and cute for a date. Our servers were amazing and tentative. We had the octopus (recommend) that comes with hummus, potatoes and peppers which was flavourful. The calamari were crispy and delicious. We shared the 12oz steak and it was cooked to medium rare and was good. Cute restaurant for an occasion or date.

This has been on my list for a special occasion meal in Markham ever since I heard of it opening. For Valentine's Day my girlfriend and I came by to try and we had a lovely delicious dinner. We were lucky to be seated at a booth on the second floor which was intimate and also sheltered away from the cold. The Valentine's Day menu allowed us to pick one app and dessert each, along with a shared main. We got the following: - Crab Croquette with Aioli & caviar - Tenderloin Carpaccio with Aioli, Mancheo & Fresh Truffles - 14oz Australian Wagyu Striploin with Roasted Vegetables & Potatoes - Chocolate truffle cake with hazlenuts - Vanilla cheesecake with raspberry compote My favourite was the wagyu, which was cooked perfectly and was delicious and tender. The dish also featured a nice mix of mushrooms, onions, peppers, and potatoes. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the night even more enjoyable. I would love to come back perhaps for more an a la carte experience, as I thought the food was wonderful, and the presentation was on point, but the pricing ($165 per person) left a bit to be desired.

Tried this place for the first time--and wow, where has it been all my life? I've passed by it a hundred times and had no idea it was there! We ordered the Seafood Risotto and Seasonal Black Cod, both packed with flavour and absolutely mouthwatering. A bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it. Can't wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu!

I've always known this Greek restaurant was in the plaza but never dined in until now - wow I have been missing out! Upon arrival, the space is quite dated but I still had high hopes for the food which did not disappoint. Servers were all older gentlemen that seemed intimidating but were very friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was so delicious: Kalamarakia Fried 5/5 - Seasoned and lightly fried calamari served with Tzatziki sauce. It wasn't too crispy but had the perfect chew/ bite to it. Great for sharing. Cold Pekelia 5/5 - This was served with 4 different dips and 2 light bites including Tzatziki, taramosalata, octopus, melitzanosalata, olives and hummus. Absolutely delicious and a range of different flavours to try. Served with pita on the side. Chicken Souvlaki Dinner 5/5 - Tender chunks of chicken breast, marinated and broiled to perfection. All their dinners come with a Greek salad and garlic bread. Portions are plenty per person. Chicken was tender, juicy and bursting with flavours. Gyro Dinner 5/5 - Blend of lamb and beef, lightly spiced and broiled. Served with rice, roast potatoes, veggies and Tzatziki. So delicious I wanted to lick the plate clean. Overall all the food was so good and flavourful. Drinks were okay, I got a caesar that could have used a bit more "ump" to it. I can't wait to come back again as I loved dining here!

It was a really nice spot for a special night... cozy, welcoming, and not overly loud. We enjoyed everything we ordered, but the saganaki was definitely the standout. Beyond the presentation, the cheese itself was excellent... crisp on the outside, warm and soft inside, and really well seasoned. Easily something I'd come back for. The mango ginger spritz was light and refreshing, not too sweet, the Australian lamb chops were cooked nicely, tender, and full of flavor without being overly heavy. We ended the perfect night with baklava and vanilla ice cream. It was flaky, just sweet enough to be shared between us. Portions weren't huge, but we left feeling content. It's one of the closer locations to me. I then found that there's a Tahini's in the Malvern area of Scarborough. Frankly, both are equidistant to me. This past Saturday, I was stopped at a light on Highway 7. I saw a sign for Tahini's. What?! A Tahini's in Markham? Yes! I came here tonight to fetch dinner. Sadly, this eatery takes over from Shawarma Stop, a long-established eatery. I place an order on Uber Eats. I got the tandoori chicken shawarma wraps. It was a BOGO deal on the app. I was given an estimate of fifteen minutes for my order to be ready. I was fairly close by, so I drove over to the eatery and waited in the plaza. There was plenty of parking. What can be confusing are the two doors. You enter and exit the one on the left when you are looking at the store's exterior. The door on the right is an emergency exit. I walked in. It was bright and inviting. I like that the pickup area has a sign that you can't miss. I saw my name on the screen. It looked like it was still being prepared. Two men were behind the counter, making my wraps. I let them know my name and my order. They said that they needed five more minutes. I was good and took photos. One of them noticed that I liked the decor. I had no idea that Tahini's started in London, ON. We got to talking about my visiting the Richmond Hill location. I was thrilled that this location is much closer. I asked them how long this eatery has been open for. It's pretty new. This week is the third week since it has been open for business. They also nodded when I said that it used to be Shawarma Stop. I saw them put my wraps together and grill them. It was cool seeing the entire process. They put my items in individual sleeves, and then in a paper bag, followed by sealing it. I thanked them and headed out the door with my food. I then drove home to have one of them for dinner. This wrap was awesome. I asked for no additional spicy sauce. The tandoori chicken was flavourful, with a bit of heat already. The chicken morsels were so tender and yummy. The veggies were fresh. I loved the crunchy pickles. I loved the wrap. It was thin enough to hold everything inside without ripping. Yummy! Welcome to Markham, Tahini's! I'm so glad that you're here. I'll be back for more good eats. (379)

I placed an order through Uber Eats and got two regular habibi bowls, which were BOGO. I got them without any pita chips on top. I went with the original, which was chicken, tzatziki, fried onions, spicy garlic sauce, and parsley, all on rice. I chose mild hot for the bowls. I got an estimated time to pick up my order. I was at Malvern Town Centre, so it took no time to drive over here. I got here at around 3:30 pm. There was plenty of parking. I backed into a spot and headed inside the eatery. It was a nice change that this location wasn't as crazy at this hour. For dinner, I had one of the bowls. I had the other one the following day. It was my first time having a habibi bowl. It was yummy! The chicken was delicious. It was tender and flavourful with everything in the bowl. The base was fluffy yellow rice. I should order this bowl again. The toppings were fresh. So good! The second bowl heated up fine the following day. It tasted equally as yummy. I've had the baklava at the other location. I should have some here next time. I loved my food and my experience here. I'll be back when I'm in the area again. (335)

We got the garlic sauce and hummus - both came in nice large dollops. Purple cabbage gave a nice crunch as did the pita chips they sprinkled in. Turnips and pickles have a nice salty flavor. Tomatoes are thinly sliced but few in quantity I felt. The pineapples were canned pineapples but decent amount. Overall a pretty filling dish - would recommend the larger size for dinner. Good price for what you get!

I've been to a handful of Osmow's. They are either close to my workplace or in Markham…read more The first Osmow's that opened in Markham is on Woodbine Avenue, just north of highway 7. My first experience wasn't the best. The business made things better when I went back a second time, but it does take a bad first experience to deter me from being a return customer. I have been driving along Markham Road (highway 48) weekly. I flagged getting takeout for dinner here a couple of Wednesdays ago. After getting groceries in Whitchurch-Stouffville, I ordered food from this Osmow's through my Uber Eats app. I got mixed proteins (chicken and beef shawarma) on fattoush salad, with garlic sauce and tahini. I tend to like anything on salad in general, but I crave salad a lot these days. My order was estimated to be ready in 25 minutes. I knew that I would arrive early with my lead foot, so I stopped by Chatime nearby to pick up some bubble tea. Osmow's is steps away from Firehouse Subs. I backed into a spot in front of Osmow's main entrance and walked in. It is strictly takeout from this eatery. All tables and chairs are stacked away in a small corner of the store. I had a nice man help me. I showed him my Uber Eats order number at the counter. He fetched my order that was in a plastic bag. I thanked him and headed out the door. When I got home, I put away my groceries and then had dinner. I like that the container keeping my food safe was compostable. I also got cutlery and napkins in my plastic bag. My mix proteins on salad was yummy. I loved the morsels of tender chicken and beef shawarma. The garlic sauce and tahini were full of flavour. I went with no spice. At Osmow's, it can get super spicy if you go hot. The fattoush salad was fresh. The iceberg lettuce was crispy even with the sauces and proteins on top. I enjoyed the ripe tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and cucumbers in this salad. I did ask that the crispy pita croutons be held. They were. Yay! I devoured my meal. It was so good. My tummy and I were happy. I have found an Osmow's location in Markham that I like. I look forward to trying more food items off the menu. I am eyeing the lamb salad next. (205)
