I have been eyeing to try this place for a while and finally today, I got it. Walking in to the store around 4pm. It is clean and adorned with cute stuff. The place is kind of packed with teenagers, so no place to sit. The cashier is super friendly and nice. Extra star for this reason. Gave my orders, paid and put my card away, looking around for place to sit and done. Drinks are served! I was surprised that my orders took less than 5 minutes. They look great. However, the boba is a little off, not as chewy, and smaller in sizes. Anyway, these are my orders Dirty milk tea with boba, it's okay. Oolong milk tea, not good at all, extremely bland. only drink half of it. The taro milk tea is so pretty to look at but the taste is meh, not sweet, and too artificial for my taste. Wow, what an embarrassing reply from the owner. No, no one called out my order at all so I'm not sure why you said they called it twice. I would really like to see this footage. I wanted to give this place a good review because their thai tea is amazing. But, after waiting almost 30 mins for my food despite being the only person there, and then the goth looking girl with short black hair brought out my food and just sat it on the counter without calling out my name and sat there talking to her friends.. I waited to see if my order would be called out but no one cared nor were they paying attention to the customer's simple needs. I finally went up to ask if they usually call out orders or just leave them sitting there and was immediately met with a bad attitude and snark from the black haired girl. She said "I did call it out" and then she quickly turned and ran back to the kitchen without saying anything else like "sorry". I said "no you didn't." Finally, a boba place with food in Ventura county! Yes, I know what you're saying to yourself, but this is a primarily boba vendor that has food; NOT a restaurant that has one or two drinks with boba. Completely different. I'm glad we have a place like this, for so many years I have only been to places like this far North and South, but we got one now!!! Azuki is tucked in the corner of the shopping center alongside Trek and Trader Joe's. It's a good size place for a small drink vendor with seats for about 10-15 inside and a few outside. The walls are painted and have some hand done art which is a nice touch from plain walls or wall paper. The menu is on the door outside as well as behind the register, there's even some pictures of their top selling drinks. The staff is friendly and they offer drink suggestions if you can't choose between which one sounds the best (fair enough). We ordered our boba and we received it fairly quickly which was a nice surprise. The milk teas were rich with flavor and not watered down, which happens too often unfortunately. This place knows what they're doing with their drinks! Everything tastes great, and I would definitely recommend this place to others in the area. Upon subsequent visits, they ran out of boba and were unable to serve boba. I find this odd and disappointing as it seems to be their main focus; so why run out of boba as early as 12 or 3 PM? The place closes at 9, can't more boba be made? Knowing you are running low on boba is something that can be seen ahead of time and corrected so that customers aren't left without their precious tapioca balls. read more

Very, very authentic taste, and I tasted 0 powder/sugar syrup flavors. Friendly service, cute shop, plentiful parking, this shop has it all...except for the quantity of boba pearls. The quality part was perfect. but I guess I got too greedy with my boba pearl enjoyment to the point where the latter half of my drink lacked any...chewiness. Don't get me wrong: this shop tops the charts for the best boba west of the Valley at the minimum, and competes fiercely with some of my favorite SGV boba shops. Consistently awesome! I have been coming here since they opened and I can't find a better bubble tea location in all of Ventura County. I came in today after 5:00 pm, and I was surprised to see no line (maybe because it was the day before the 4th of July). The place also offers free wifi. In addition, the location is nicely decorated. Parking is never an issue as the location is located in a large strip mall. They offer special menu items every month. SO excited for a boba shop to open in TO. This is in the strip mall with Trader Joe's/Petco, in the Westlake Blvd side. There's always plenty of parking since the strip mall is very long. Interior is very cutely decorated and there is a decent amount of seating. There are tables outside in the wide covered patio, which will be good seating even if it rains. The drink menu isn't huge but has all of the favorites, including some lattes and fruit teas. You can customize the sugar levels for each drink. They have almond and oat milk as nondairy options. There are more topping options than what is just listed on the toppings section - you can get cheese foam, or brule foam on other drinks that are listed in the latte section. The employees were so sweet and very patient with us when we were trying to decide what to get! Azuki looks very popular with a ton of people going in while we were waiting for our drinks but it never felt crowded because they put out the drinks so quickly. We stepped out to run another errand and they even put the drinks in the fridge for us! There's some typical food that you tend to find at these cafes like fried chicken and cheese dog but I didn't really see anyone getting food. Overall great addition to TO/Westlake. read more

I'm pleasantly surprised with this boba spot (which are hard to come by in TO, imo)!! It's small, but I liked the music and overall vibes - I would study here if it wasn't too crowded or far from where I live. The reusable cups + sipping hole are a huge PLUS since I don't have to use a straw. Even if I do, my metal reusable straw fits perfectly! Despite only two people working the tea making, they were killing it with a nearly full house at a Saturday at 6:30PM. Plus the guy was very helpful and enthusiastic with his recommendations. Got small drinks, at $5 + 0.50 cent toppings: -UJI MATCHA LATTE W CHEESE FOAM w/ crystal boba: 50% sweetness couldn't taste the cheese foam. although it was a bit bland, when the matcha was mixed in, it was the perfect sweetness! the crystal boba also was a nice and had a tinge of sweet too. -PASSION FRUIT: 50% sweetness. This wasn't as good as other passion fruit drinks I've had at other places as it was diluted and bland, even when I got it without ice. It also didn't have the seeds like other places. Was in the mood for dessert so I ordered the dirty milk tea - It's a brown sugar milk tea just way sweeter. Not my go to order but it was really good since I wanted something sweet that day. I also ordered the waffle. At first sight the waffle was really sad looking it was really small, wrinkly looking almost like bad scrambled egg and omelet mash up (Check out the picture to see what i mean) wasn't crispy didn't have shape, didn't even fit into the cup, it was so small. Perhaps they took it out of the waffle machine too soon? Not sure what happened there but after eating it the flavor wasn't terrible, it had a chewiness that I enjoyed, but that's me. I'm a texture eater, not sure how others would enjoy it. I'll definitely come back for the tea and boba, maybe I'll give the waffle another try.... maybe. The waffle presentation really needs help and to be served in a different container because it is too small for that cup they serve it in. For years, I have been saying that Westlake Village needs a great boba shop. I'm so happy to say that Azuki Tea fits the bill. I went in around 4pm and ordered the Passion Fruit Tea with Boba after hearing great things about it. My drink was made very quickly, and it was cool to be able to watch the bobarista making my drink. One sip and I was in love! It's easy to tell that they use very fresh ingredients. My drink had just the right amount of sweetness, and the ratio of boba to tea was perfect. All of the employees were so friendly and had great suggestions regarding the menu. An added bonus was that they seemed like they were having a great time making drinks as well. Parking is easy and plentiful in this plaza. Being a big fan of chai tea, I am on a quest to find the best chai around. So it was with great anticipation that I noticed new the Azuki Tea had opened. It was crowded when I entered with another customer at the register. So excited to try an new chai tea, without reading the menu I stepped to the register and through my mask ordered a chai tea. The lady taking my order could not have been any nicer. I asked if the tea was made with powder, explaining I'm seeking chai without powders. Yes, she said, it usually is although she could substitute oat milk, however the tea would be much stronger. And did I want boba? Sounded good and I patiently waited. Imagine my surprise when she handed me a Thai tea! I had to laugh! I didn't read the menu and it is so easy to hear Thai especially when that's what's served there. The tea was good, boba had just the right amount of chew and the server very kind. Way too much ice is the reason for the 4 stars. Was a wonderful laugh for the day!
