I know these places have been popping up everywhere, but in my experience it's not without just cause. The gelato here is SOOO good and they have some great dairy free options as well. Super cute vibe, like a country Italian kitchen and the ingredients are all real food not filler and junk, and you can definitely tell. No weird aftertaste in the sorbet like some places. So far I have been to 3 locations, yes I have a problem, leave me alone. And every place I have been to the staff have been incredible, generous, kind, and seem very happy to work there. The friendly staff is noticeable and very much adds to the overall experience. I've been to Bacio countless times. But this last time? The worker, Ethan, was so great. I just had to write a review. He was kind and funny while also making great flavor suggestions. We all enjoyed the conversation with him and applaud his great attitude even though we can in late. He was efficient as well. Managing the customers in front of us with ease as well as us. Very attractive store serving rich and creamy gelato. They allow a person to try as many flavors as one wants. I tried and ended up ordering the salted caramel (really good), s'mores with biscotti cookies (amaaaaaaazing), and strawberry cheesecake, which was also really good. The s'mores, though, was next level delicious. The marshmallow was soft and fresh, the chocolate layer had a soft crunch but immediately melted in my mouth, and the biscotti cookies offered a wonderful change of pace to the traditional graham cracker flavor. Absolutely delicious. As for the salted caramel, it had the perfect balance of salty and sweet, and it did NOT have any bitter aftertaste (as I find many of them do). The strawberry cheesecake had big chunks of strawberry, and it tasted just like cheesecake. The portions were really large, and in fact, I couldn't finish it. For years I thought I'd never find good gelato in the US. My travels around Italy ruined me, they had proper gelato on every corner and I have yet to find any here. This place finally brought the taste of Italy to the US and perfected it. This is by far the best gelato I've ever had. Every flavor I tried better than the last. I finally had to narrow it down to 3, and still can't decide which is my favorite although I'm leaning toward the coffee and caramel. The maple cashew brittle was a close second. My hubby and I came back 1 week later and we were the only ones there for about 5 minutes (around 5:30pm). We got to try all the flavors uninterrupted and I found a few favorites. I didn't realize they had 2 different pistachio flavors. I found the mousse to be great, tiramisu, coffee, sweet cream and salted caramel to be my go to. My hubby liked peanut butter, chocolate chip and so forth. Once it started to get crowded, the staff really stepped up and got the line down. I enjoyed strawberry cheesecake on a waffle cone and my friend had salted caramel on a cone, too. They offer bowels and you can get milkshakes, if you would prefer. Milkshakes from any flavors offered that day. Or grab a pint to go! The quality of the gelato was quite good. It's rich and pretty creamy for gelato. It was very filling and a single was plenty. They have about 20-30 flavors at a time to choose from and that includes gelato and sorbets. You can sample too, if you're unsure which to pick. I really liked the cream I sampled, and plan to return for the mint chip as a shake. The staff were friendly. The space is small with about 4 tables for sitting but there are also seats outside or you can walk around the plaza with your treat. There are so many great flavors to choose from. They let you sample as many as you want. I decided to get a scoop of the tiramisu and a scoop of the peanut butter chocolate in a waffle bowl. Both flavors were creamy, rich, and sweet. I loved the crunchy mix in that comes from the top layer of the gelato. The waffle bowl was fresh and added a nice flavor and texture to the gelato. The flavor I really wanted to try was the coffee caramel, but it was sold out. I'll have to definitely come back to try it! There are so many options on how to eat the gelato. Cup, waffle cone, sugar cone, waffle bowl, or any of those dipped in Nutella or a pistachio cream. There are also huge cookies available and a variety of coffee drinks.
