This was our first stop on the way to Solvang on a family trip! We wanted a small bite to eat for breakfast and came across this place. FOOD: The food was good! We ordered the California Quiche, which came with a small salad and my sister said it was very good. My mom and I got the Classic French Toastie, which is French bread with butter and apricot marmalade. That was soooo delicious! We got my dad an Almond croissant which he enjoyed. All their other pastries looked good as well and they had another menu of breakfast items. AMBIANCE/DECOR: The inside is very small and hard to navigate the narrow aisles. Its a cross between a mini market and a bakery. Very cute. SERVICE: The staff was very nice and friendly and helpful! I would definitely come back just for the French bread. It was very good!

Yummy pastries! They have a great variety of pastries from cakes, buns, muffins, etc. My friends and I got the pistachio croissants, and they were delicious. Incredibly flakey, not too sweet, and has a great pistachio flavor. There's also seating outside and plenty of parking in the lot.

Chocolate cake and Princess Cake. 10/10.

Wow, their cakes are amazing! Bought for a party. So excited to find a great place to get a princess cake, our family favorite. Chocolate cake was decadent. Totally recommend their cakes!

This has been my go-to spot every time I visit the area. I travel often for work, and I always make it a point to stop by Emil's Bakehouse to pick up boxes of their baked goods to share with the hospitals and nurse staff I work with everyone loves them! They truly have some of the best baked goods around. Every time I come in, Luis or Lucas are there with a smile and always go above and beyond to help. They both deserve a raise for how much they contribute to making this place so special. This place has world-class taste and that old-school customer service you don't see much anymore. Every visit feels personal and welcoming, and the quality of their baked goods is unmatched. 10/10 recommend visiting and trying this place out!

Came here for breakfast. Delicious pastry with energetic drinks Great assortment of bakery to choose from. Opposite to the cashier is a tea station with unique names. Don't forget to check them out

Emil's is close to where we're staying and we frequent it. I mean, we're there every few days. The store front is just so cute and the pastries on display are so tempting. Services is super friendly every time we visit. This past Sunday my partner surprised me with warm chocolate croissants from Emil's. I'm still thinking about them. Just yesterday, we popped in to grab some coffee and got a slice of princess cake. They also threw in a mini version for free because the regular dessert was a little misshapen, which was so kind of them. It's so hard to find princess cake, so we were very satisfied!

Drove all the way from Burbank just to check out Carrara's Pastry Shop in Agoura Hills--and wow,…read morethey absolutely did not disappoint. It's a small, charming café with a cozy atmosphere, featuring old-school car collectibles displayed on a shelf that add a unique touch. They also offer outdoor seating where you can enjoy your desserts surrounded by lush greenery, natural foliage, and a peaceful little waterfall pond. The service was great as well, they were friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. suggested I definitely I ended up picking up a chocolate and hazelnut cake with an incredibly soft, spongy interior that was perfectly balanced and rich without being overwhelming. I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The rum babas were a standout: bite-sized, soaked in Jamaican rum, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with a raspberry. So flavorful and unique--each bite was indulgent without being too heavy. And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze. It was so rich and decadent that I had to slow myself down just to fully enjoy every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and worth the drive. I'd absolutely come back again.

We were greeted right away, and we let one of the people working there know we wanted to take a look around as it was our first time stopping in, which was okay. The shop itself was empty. We took a look at the ice cream selection, the full cakes, and then the pastries. Everything looked really good. We decided on a chocolate trilogia pastry and a red velvet pastry to go. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item. The service was great, but as a red velvet lover, the flavor was not as expected. I would potentially try again but would sample some other treats.

I think I found a new fav breakfast spot!…read more When you walk in, there is a counter where you can order to go, they have small grocery items to buy or the bakery items as well. If not, you can dine in and there is a full menu. The dining area is technically the Maral Cuisine restaurant space (so don't get confused). My family and I arrived around 9 on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating! Food+Drink: 4/5 *SHAKSHUKA $16.95: 2 Poached Eggs in our own Made Sauce (Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Onions & Cilantro) topped Cilantro -- It was nice to have something different than the same old omelette. I'm a huge fan of dipping bread and sauce. *TURKISH COFFEE $4.50: You can never go wrong with Turkish coffee! Coffee that is just potent enough for me! *HOT CHOCOLATE $5.10: Sometimes you just need a nice hot chocolate and this hit the spot! *CALIFORNIA OMELETTE $16.95: Egg, Sliced Avocado, Diced Tomatoes, Diced Onion, Shredded Cheddar Cheese -- The perfect omelette, with just a bit of everything. *CHALLAH FRENCH TOAST $16.95: Thick -Cut House Made Challah, Served with Syrup, Topped with Fresh Fruits -- Delicious and filling French toast! Staff was attentive and friendly! We couldn't have asked for a better first time experience!

My wife and I specifically went to this restaurant for breakfast based on yelp reviews. First…read moreimpressions; the main dining room I felt was slightly 'stuffy' if that's the word- it looked more like a dinner dining room rather than a breakfast / lunch location in a strip mall. They have done a really good job with the patio and I could see that getting really busy, it wasn't the day we were there as it was a colder day. I ordered the avocado toast that came with a couple of poached eggs and the side I got was a cup of barley soup, my wife ordered the french toast with a side of bacon . The quality of the food was excellent in both cases, tasted good although I felt my food was on the colder side for sure when we finally got it and it was very plain; food took a while considering they weren't that busy. The service was good but not excellent, our waiter came back to check on us once when I thought maybe I caught his eye . I think there's definitely some room for improvement but it won't hold me from coming back... I will definitely give it another try; footnote- a lot of their ingredients are organic and of what I understand they bake all of their bread and pastry items in house. definitely worth a try. Oh, my caffe latte was superb!

The banana caramel cupcakes are to die for.... Literally…read more Emma is the sweetest! Every time I come in she gives amazing service

Had them for the first time on my birthday, though definitely on the pricy side…read more But they're so beautiful! Accidentally held one cupcake sideways just as I opened the door home, so the frosting got smushed but obviously didn't affect the flavor. I think this review will be heavily biased by user error thus the 5 stars though my feelings are more on 3 stars. Since we were all busy, we'd have to eat them around 10+ hours after buying and to make sure nobody accidentally ate them before my birthday; we stored them in the fridge instead of room temp which clearly did something to the frosting and cakes. Family's average favorites in order are red velvet, the confetti, cookies and cream, smores, and strawberry. The red velvet is pretty good, it's pretty rich and moist compared to the other cupcakes and the cream cheese frosting is so nice. S'mores has a strong dark cocoa flavor but also was dense and a little dry. Strawberry and confetti had nice fluffy frosting but due to the fridge mistake, it was kinda like eating chilled whipped butter. I strangely really enjoyed that. Confetti also felt and tasted like corn bread; I wasn't there to choose or see the flavors, but it was a fascinating surprise when I kept chewing and felt grit between my teeth. I didn't expect the birthday cupcake to taste like a southern take on fairy bread? But it isn't bad! Overall, I feel like they're a nice place for a little treat--the red velvet is definitely their signature for a reason. But for ~$7-10 a cupcake the flavors we chose seem to lack a reason to come back :( Unless you have dietary restrictions! I didn't try them but they have keto, vegan, and gluten free options; I know how hard it is to find a bakery that honors all 3. I also got my cupcake in one of those adorable birthday boxes (bearer of the unfortunate frosting carnage so no photo) but the butterfly is so cute! They're definitely worth a visit once, the bread puddings looked fun too, but unfortunately it seems the cupcakes are just not my cup of tea.
