I think they handled everything really well and taking a moment to catch up with current orders instead of taking more and continuing to drown was the best choice. I really wanted to give Frankie's a higher rating because the food is good and the options are great . That's why there's a two versus a one star. A hidden gem in an area notorious for chains and lack of variety and watered down options, Frankie's is solid. I appreciate that they focus on fresh ingredients and everything is cooked well. But after three times coming here , i won't be coming back unless things change. The first time we came here , my wife ordered the vegan breakfast burrito but they put in regular sausage in it. They made it right after we called to ask them to fix it but we had to go back and wait for them to make it and double check everything. Again , super nice about it but having to go back and forth twice while waiting 20-25 min each time became an almost two hour affair. The last straw for me was today. It's a busy Saturday morning and they seemed understaffed , which I can understand but it was still frustrating . If I knew my order would have taken almost an hour I would have left and came back or ordered somewhere else. I ordered at 955 and didn't walk out until 1045. I ordered two burritos and an order of tots. We will come back to finish that point. I watched a few people who were waiting before me get frustrated . One couple got someone else's order but they didn't find out until after they bit into it - that it was the wrong burrito. I love how they crisp up the burritos but maybe there's a better way to verify the order or cut them in half so you know what you're getting. So because of that - they ended up getting the order of the person after them so we all got delayed because they had to remake two whole orders. The gentleman after them was also missing a burrito in his order so after the correction, he left and had to come back. I got a pork burrito and my wife got a vegan one but the labels were switched so we bit into each others burrito. Not the end of the world but having a food order labeled correctly should be basic table stakes here. I want them to succeed because they're local and offering something amazing , but it's hard to when I've had and observed multiple service issues. This could be the best burrito place for miles but I can't justify gambling waiting an hour for my food. From price ranging about 20$ for a burrito with a side portion of chips I find it to be a little on the higher end, however the service from cleaning up to bringing out food could be that extra cost. This place is breakfast burrito HEAVEN! It had been on my list to try for a while and it did NOT disappoint. It's located in a quiet strip mall close to the 101 Freeway. Plenty of parking. The owner, Rob was very helpful for us first-timers and suggested some popular favorites. I got The A-Charger (steak burrito- $19.50) and my husband got The Roman Surprise (Italian sausage burrito-$17.50). We knew we wanted to try the tots so we went for the Truffle Tots. There are tables to sit outside. When we got our order, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food! They even brought us some chips and a few salsas to try- all of them super fresh. The tots were amazing and Rob told us they make them with fresh truffles and no seed oils. The burritos were also really good. The A-Charger was definitely our favorite and is a solid- steak burrito option. Both burritos were packed with good ingredients and flavor. We really enjoyed them both! I also really appreciated that Rob came to us after the meal asking our thoughts. Really nice when a business owner takes the time to do that. Tried this place out for the first time and it's good! The staff was friendly. The burritos and chips were good! Order inside and then they'll deliver your food to you. They also do takeout. There is seating available, but it's only on the outside. There's heaters in case it gets chilly. No problem with parking - think plaza parking. There's also gluten free options. read more

Found a new place and it's FIRE! Was looking for a place for breakfast burritos near Thousand Oaks and boy was I in for a treat! It's a new place, only been open for about a month, and it's awesome. Talked with the owner, (he was chatting with all the customers in the front lobby area), he was a very interesting dude and we hit it off right away. I got the Sunset, which was amazing. You can add rice and/or beans for free, so I added beans to mine! My burrito had soft scrambled eggs, sausage, pico de gallo. I also got two hot sauces. One was like a chili oil and boy! The breakfast burrito is loaded and has plenty of egg and meat, not just tater tots like some other places. It's a perfect balance. The bacon is very crispy as well and they certainly aren't stingy with the bacon. You MUST try the salsa macha with your burrito. My goodness it's so good. Convenient outdoor seating for dine in customers and a nice view of the mountain right next to the location. Ordered the chicken Tinga burrito. Burrito came out hot with a side of tortilla chips. Frankie's has the BEST burritos, and their gluten-free tortilla is seriously the best my husband has ever had! My husband has celiac and has always struggled to find gluten-free tortillas that are both a decent size and actually taste good. Frankie's nailed it. I'm not gluten-free and even tried his tortilla myself, and I could hardly tell the difference from a regular flour tortilla! They're homemade every single day. Very impressive. The owner also has celiac, which really shows in how thoughtful and accommodating he is. He was so kind, welcoming, and clearly works incredibly hard to make this place great. We tried Frankie's for the first time. Overall, the food was good. We had the Sunrise & the Smoky Rooster. I'd say the smoky rooster was honestly better, but I prefer a nice savory breakfast burrito over sweet, and the bacon in the Sunrise is quite sweet. It was a unique flavor, just not my favorite. The tots were done really well. Excellent pico de gallo. I also appreciated the free chips. Nice outdoor seating as well :) Full condiment bar for your coffee. We only ran into one issue during our visit. We placed to-go orders as we wanted to take our burritos home. The gentleman taking our order asked for both of our phone numbers, and said that we would receive a text a couple minutes before our order was ready. We headed to Whizin Market Square next door to shop around while we waited, and no text ever came. We understood they were busy as he did say out loud it was a busy morning. After an HOUR, we returned to check in and our burritos were sitting in bags on the counter. Just would've loved for either one of us to receive the text we were told about. This place popped up on my Instagram feed as the best breakfast burritos in the Conejo Valley and I do enjoy a good breakfast burrito so had to give it a shot. Went in on a very rainy day after the gym, small place with outdoor seating only but the seating was under a roof and did have heaters so dining al fresco on a downpour wasn't too painful. No indoor seating but a friendly staff, the menu did include various breakfast burritos as well as other items. Wanted to try different breakfast versions so went for a standard version as well as a chorizo version. As we waited outside our burritos were brought out to us with our drink not long after. My only comment was the chorizo burrito was very greasy and dripped everywhere. This was disappointing especially since I have had many chorizo con huevos burritos in my time. It did have some unique flavors and other than being extremely greasy it wasn't too bad. The other burrito was good and flavorful. A bit pricey for both so it was an expensive adventure. My rating reflects that extremely greasy burrito but if they can work on that in the kitchen it could bump up the stars. Maybe a 2nd visit? TBD read more

Writing this under my husband's account. My husband went this morning to get us some breakfast before he had to go to work. He waited 15 minutes and no one came out to take his order. He finally yelled to the back and someone responded, "be right there!" so he waited another 10 minutes and no one came out. He told me by this point six other customers had gathered behind him. He left because he was going to be late to work. As he left another customer told him, yeah they have great food but their service is always like this. The flavor of the sauce and chorizzo was great. The eggs inside the buritto tasted great but did appear a bit unappatizing because they were heavily scrambled and a bit mushy. I have been a breakfast burrito fan as long as I can remember - whenever I am out at a restaurant for breakfast or brunch and they offer a breakfast burrito, I stop reading the menu. When I heard a breakfast burrito joint was opening up near my house, I squealed like a little girl. Not only are the burritos here insanely good, but the owner, Rob is just an amazing human being. I have been here 14 or 15 times since they opened in October and it never disappoints. I've tried everything on the menu except for the vegan one and it's hard to pick a favorite. The hype is well-deserved and real, folks. This place is legit. Not exaggerating when I say this is the best breakfast burrito we've ever had. As a SoCal girl who knows her burritos, I consider myself an expert. And trust me when I say these bad boys are THE BEST. We had the Surise and the Piggyback Delight and both were out of this world. Perfectly warm, crisp tortilla wrapped around all of the goodness it can hold. All the ingredients are top-quality, fresh and flavorful. Salsas were next level and added an extra layer of flavor that isn't necessary, but so damn good. Another important factor, and this is a big one for me, is the quality/balance of tortilla vs. filling. Too little and it's meh. Too much filling/low quality tortilla and it's blow out city. These tortillas were high quality and filled the perfect amount and I was able to eat my entire burrito (sorry not sorry) and there was no spillage or breakage. None. A miracle in and of itself. My kids shared the kid's breakfast burrito which is so simple in ingredients but holy hell it was the most delicious thing in the world. Just eggs, tots, bacon and cheese. A purist breakfast burrito that has been absolutely perfected. We also enjoyed a maple cinnamon roll as an appetizer and we were fighting over who got the last bite if that tells you anything. You can tell the staff and owners care about this place and genuinely want to offer a great product/experience for guests. We will most definitely return and recommend Frankie's 100%. Stopped by Frankie's Burritos this morning and had an awesome experience. I got the Sunrise Burrito with tots and bacon, and it was unreal. The burrito came out piping hot, the flavors were seriously on point, and the tots + bacon combo was next level. Portion size was perfect -- filling but not ridiculous. Wait time was super quick too -- only about seven minutes. We sat outside, which was great, and Rob, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and wants everyone to have a good experience. That kind of service goes a long way.
