Margarita! Look how beautiful that Glass is!

What a surprise! Will be back again and again. The food is excellent and while it's not table service, the service is helpful and fairly quick. Did I mention the food is delicious? I love their margaritas here. It's not tequila. It's a wine tequila. Must try. I love that they have booths at this place. We met the owner. Hands-on, very interested in his customers' comfort and experience. This is a place Agoura/Oak Park/Westlake didn't even know we needed.

    Taco Salad - so good!!!

So this was the perfect lunch to have after going to the beach. Seriously - it's right off kanan so you can come here on your way back from Zuma. My friend and I both got the taco salad with chicken (aka tostada bowl) and it was seriously so good. It was loaded with cheese, sour cream, guacamole, beans, lettuce, chicken, and probably more I'm forgetting. They also have a full salsa bar with chips and so many cool salsas to try. I highly recommend the avocado one. The staff were all very nice and the food came out super quickly. There are also tvs inside so I imagine it could be lots of fun during a soccer game. Will be coming back a lot!!

Was on the way home from a wedding in the nearby area and wanted to stop for a bite to eat. A lot of the places were super busy or out of the way - and it was nearing late afternoon. Decided to go with Blue Agave after seeing the reviews as well as photos of the salsa bar. Blue Agave is a Mexican restaurant located in a fairly large plaza with plenty of parking. There were a few other customers when we walked in. Lots of tables for seating. Workers are super friendly. I would have to say that the menu is a little overwhelming with a ton of options. It took awhile before I decided what I wanted to order. I went with the carne asada torta - don't remember how much this cost, but it was really good. Came with avocado, sour cream, and lettuce. I only ate half and was pretty full. We also got the chile relleno Colorado style. I don't know much about this dish, but I thought it was a little spicy. Came with fresh flour tortilla, rice, and beans. Portion was decently sized and we had enough for a second meal. And that salsa bar - loved the variety of salsa. Heard that they even made some salsa that can't be found at normal Mexican restaurants. I was given a free drink where I was able to try the different agua frescas and everything was really tasty. I think when we got there, the owner was training a younger gentleman - really awesome to see. Would definitely return if I am ever in the area!

We did not intend on trying Blue Agave Tacos and Beer on their grand opening but here we are! Mariachi band welcomed us through the front door too! A surprisingly great selection of menu items with many ways to customize your meal. I really liked the chips and salsa bar too. A lot of variety in salsa and extras to wet your beak. For the mains, we really enjoyed the chili Colorado chimichanga, the fajitas, and chicken flautas. All of the dishes were flavorful and the portions were grand especially considering the price point. There truly was not a dud plate we had as it was all delicious. I think Blue Agave is going to do really well in Agoura Hills. I'm looking forward to trying some of the margaritas I saw being served!

Amazing service , I tried the agua fresca strawberry fusion and it was so good. Ricky was very nice and helped us out a lot. Restaurant in general is nice and I feel comfortable here. Love the tvs to watch sports and the paintings are beautiful.

Loved the food and agua fresca here. Stopped in on a lazy Sunday and the gentleman behind the counter helped us make decisions because we were too tired to think for ourselves. The staff were friendly. The establishment was super clean. Self serve salsa bar was delicious. The hot salsa was incredible. And the seasoning on the fish taco has me dreaming about it. Glad this opened up near my house we will definitely come back. Thank you.

We also received the extra side of blue cheese we requested, which was appreciated. We also ordered the bacon cheeseburger. There was nothing wrong with the burger itself--it was cooked well and prepared nicely. My only personal preference was that the barbecue sauce was a bit overpowering and masked the flavor of the bacon and beef. If you enjoy a stronger barbecue flavor, you may really like it, but I would have preferred a lighter touch. Overall, we had a very enjoyable visit thanks to the excellent service, refreshing drinks, and fresh food. We'd be happy to return.

I asked if the menu was the same, and the host confirmed that it was exactly the same. The bar was HUGE. It had to have seated at least 50 people. I'd say probably about 30 people at the actual bar, and then 20 people on the tables/ high tops on the perimeter of the bar. Our server's name was Christian. He handed us the menus and we realized that it was DineLA. Christian told us that it had just started on Friday. For a drink, I ordered the 6oz Two Squared Sauvignon Blanc, while my partner got the watermelon spritz. Later in the night we also ended up getting a draft beer and and unsweetened ice tea. Then we were ready to order and our server asked us if we wanted to order everything at once, or if we wanted to space it out. We ended up ordering everything at once, but the food came spaced out so I'm not sure if they did that behind the scenes for us, or if it just ended up that way due to the kitchen being backed up. Regardless, the timing worked out well for us because we weren't waiting long at all for the next course once we got done with whatever was being served to us. We ended up ordering the Oysters Sampler. We decided on 4 of each oyster (Grassy Bar, Seaduction, and Chincoteague). Then, off the DineLA menu, we ordered charbroiled oysters, New England Clam Chowder, Blue Eye Trevalla, Fijian Ono, Key Lime Pie, and Flourless Chocolate Cake. My standout for this meal was definitely the Chincoteague oysters. They were perfectly balanced with brine and tasting very crisp and fresh. Now that I think about it, it probably would have been good with some sparkling water. My other highlight was the flourless chocolate cake. To me, it resembled a lava cake without the chocolate in the middle. It was very rich and decadent and paired very well with the cold ice cream. I also really enjoyed the pineapple coleslaw. There were little chunks of pineapple in it that tasted sweet and refreshing. While we didn't plan on going here because of DineLA, I had a lot of fun trying new dishes. We don't often gravitate toward cooked fish (we eat a lot of sushi), so this was a really nice change of pace. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice night out or a date night.

A recently turned 21 year old with no experience or even your middle-aged neighbor who you know is an absolute Lush now that she's retired will likely go to a Drug store like Rite Aid or CVS to get their weekly supply. Word on the streets is, they have amazing boxed wines ;) "I'll take a glass of your finest Franzia Cab." A busy Mom of 3 will probably pick up a bottle of her favorite "red"... And you know Stella Rosa is at the top of her list. I mean, might as well treat herself when she gets home after knocking out the bi-weekly grocery run. Am I right? Then there is always that one college kid on his way to a house party who for sure is going to stop at his local liquor store to grab a 30-pack so he can prove that he is once and for all, The Beer Pong King to all of his friends and that one girl he has been so desperately trying to impress. Best of luck my man! Or what about that recently remarried Dad who loves a good deal on wine and wants to stock up for that upcoming wine mixer that his young new bride wants to throw for this weekends Labor Day Soirée. I mean, Kirkland Signature Label has got to be legit right? I hear they also make a very tasty dog food as well ;) Just teasing ya Costco... I still love you. And finally, there's that one store, the museum of all things Alcohol. You know, The Total Wine's of the world. I remember my first time stepping into this place, and I was in awe. Aisles and Aisles and more Aisles of every spirit, liqueur, wine, or beer you can possibly imagine. But as impressive as all of this is, it's a bit overwhelming and it can be difficult making a clear choice with so many damn options to choose from. And then..... There. Was. One. Agoura Wine & Beer This space is refined, elegant and is welcoming to all who enter. With only one aisle that is lined floor to ceiling with both local and regional wines, & of course a small selection of craft beers, there is no doubt that you will find something here that you will love. Questions? Need a recommendation?? Still wondering the difference between Petite Sirah and Syrah aka Shiraz??? Yeah, me too. Well there's no need to wander aisle after aisle looking for someone to assist you like the other places above. Just ask one of their friendly staff who will be happy to help guide to what you are looking for. Wait!! What is that at the end of the store? Wine tasting? Beer sampling??... Move out of the way kids, Daddy needs to check this out. Yes, they have a small bar top in the back and a patio out back where you can wine taste or have one of their rotating beers on tap. (Sorry, no one under 21 in the back area, but hey, that's ok, we all need a little adult time). They do have a few packaged small bites available, but feel free to bring outside food. (there are a few nice eateries in the same Whizin's shopping center; my vote is for Two Doughs Pizza!) So... To my Conejo Valley and Adjacent locals who are looking for a little more intimate wine purchasing experience whether on Domestic or Imported Wines or even local craft beers... I say, come check out Agoura Wine & Beer. Have a nice glass of wine or a hefty pour of beer and then get some one-on-one time with of of their staff who can recommend a bottle or two or even three to bring home to enjoy later. Pro Tip: If they happen to ask you, what is your favorite kind of wine, for the love of God, please don't say "boxed". Instead... 1) Say your varietal. (Cab. Pinot, Chenin Blanc, Burgundy, etc.) 2) If you don't know that, at least throw out a color (white/red/rosé) 3) heck, throw out your favorite vintage, maybe they have the "good stuff" in the back. So, who's ready to go wine/beer shopping? I'll be waiting by the bar!
