I visit not knowing if it's going to be a miserable experience or a great one. Some of the employees go out of their way to help, some are condescending a$$H0l$. NEGATIVE- I recently purchased Microsoft Surface Laptop and it stopped working after two days. Took it back to Best Buy and the Geek Guy wasn't helpful at all and rather dismissive. He ended up saying it would cost me $100 dollars to reboot it... really? I wasn't about to pay more money on a new purchase. I left extremely disappointed to say the least. POSITIVE- Came back the next day, spoke to store manager, got a solution and was in and out in less than 20 min. NEGATIVE- I went in today and as I tried to pay with two printed gift cards they informed me they couldn't use them because they didn't have a barcode. They asked me if I had saved the e-mail where I got the giftcards from, as they were sure there was a link he was supposed to press on with barcode (because my husband is obviously an idiot that can't successfully print giftcards from an e-mail). Unfortunately, my husband likes his inbox empty and, of course, he had deleted it. The man checking me out then questioned me and schooled me on why would anyone delete an email with giftcards before one had actually used them... what if I had lost them? (because I'm obviously an idiot that misplaces giftcards...). There were 3 people that came to assist the guy checking me out (including a store manager) and NOT ONE offered a solution, the store manager even said that since my husband had deleted the e-mail there was nothing he could do to help me. Period, go home and try to fix it ourselves. We will see you soon, when you have giftcards with barcodes on them that we know how to use. NOT ONE suggested I go online to order the stuff for a store pickup and pay with the giftcards so I could walk out with my items. (This occurred to me later, as I was ordering the stuff online and happily paying with the giftcards). They ALL, however, made me feel like I was an idiot, it was MY mistake for not having saved the freaking e-mail and not their mistake for producing useless printable gifcards, and the fact that their answer was "nothing can be done" just infuriated me. POSTIVE- It's 5 minutes from my house(?) I don't know.. I needed to balance the negative above...

The location is an hour drive, so I called their tech support to ensure they could assist. It took me two calls to get past their AI answering service, once I did the technician who answered said they do NOT service HP products still under manufactures warranty. He suggested I send it back to HP for support. I called the HP support line again to find their staff baffled, insisting that Best Buy is their local support center. Issue is still unresolved.

Save yourself the trouble and go to a corporate store - have nothing but raves for the employees working at the location near target in Rockwall. Today, the employee on the floor, Raegan, seemed put off that she was having to actually work during her scheduled shift instead of reading her ebook and sipping on her coffee beverage. Greeting upon entering establishment was flippant at best, no acknowledgment regarding how long the wait might be, if she'd be able to assist me soon, or if I would be better suited to come back another time. The young woman being helped was very polite and wished her a good day upon completing her transaction - to which Ms. Reagan remained mute. Perhaps she failed to hear the young lady.. my interaction with Reagan made it seem as if perhaps she was having a bad day, or maybe it is more of a personality issue and not being suited for working in customer service. Simply needed a replacement screen protector, which is advertised on the box from my original purchase (approx 6 months ago), as being able to be completed in store, or online. Was advised after next month, it'll be 'online only' - cool, appreciate the head's up. Didn't know there would be a fee for the replacement case, was advised as to why and I proceeded to pull out cash to pay for the purchase of a replacement. To which, I was told she could not accept cash... Bottom line, I left without purchasing a replacement, called the original store on receipt (which reflected a cash payment for the purchase) and asked what their policy was. Spoke with Chris and he was amazingly helpful! Confirmed they have the screen protector for my particular phone in stock before I even made my way over there. Avoid this location on N. Goliad at all costs.

Andy and Rosa were great workers, they took me step by step on adding a new line to my phone plan.read more
